You’re a life saver! I wasn’t understanding the instruction manual and I just followed your video and you made it easy to follow 😁😁🙌🏻
Glad it helped you out. Instruction manuals on some things now days are almost useless. I find myself going to YT first. If that don't work, then I try the instructions. Thanks for watching, and have a great day.
The lengths we go for our fur babies. ❤️ Thank you for this. It was straightforward and easy to follow.
Your welcome. Glad it was helpful. Have a great day, and thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for this video helped me a lot you don’t go too slow or too fast explaining things like some other you tubers I especially liked how you laid everything out and explained everything in the kit thank you again
No problem. I am glad that it help you out. Thank for taking the time to watch.
Thank you from a handyman, because I've done this before and many other more complicated things but your video still helped me listing tools needed that I would have otherwise forgotten to bring to the job, so that was "priceless" help. 👍👍👍
No problem. Glad it was helpful. Thank you for watching, and have a great day.
Thank you for making this video. I have been trying to put this gate together for a couple of weeks, and it is very helpful to see you walk through the steps!
Your welcome. Thank you so much for watching. I hope your assembly goes seamlessly.
Take my like sir! The included instructions left plenty to be desired.
Your welcome. Glad I could help. I find that instructions on most products now days are way over thought. I usually go right to YT, and just use the instructions as a reference anymore. Thanks for watching and have a great day.
Great video, many thanks. The pup is adorable!
Thank you, and thanks for watching. Have a great day.
Thank you, you really helped
I'm glad it helped. Thank you for watching, and have a great day.
Very informative. Closeups of some of the work would be helpful.
I have gotten a little better in my vids on that. This video was only my 2nd one that I ever did. Thanks for the constructive criticism, and thanks for watching.
Yep,..you made that look simple,..was the chain link all bunched up,..I seen that on other videos of how to build this type of gate,..I have a saying being in this business,..What people will do for their dogs,..I have installed a lot of fences just for dogs of their owners,..how is the Rhubarb?
Surprisingly, the fencing was not as tangled up as I thought it would be. It wasn't to bad to assemble, but with the odd length, measuring, measuring again, and cutting it did take a few hours over all. Plus, I put it all together, hung it, and took it all back apart to re-assemble it for the video. Rhubarb is doing fantastic. Another few weeks, I think I will get my first pick. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
We call em bottom and top rails in the industry lol
i installed mine the other way, longer side up but it looks good
That works. If I had a shorter opening that is what I would have done as well. The beauty of versatility.
I tried this but don’t know how to install the self tapping screws.
You can pre-drill the pipe with a small drill bit and then you should just be able to just put the screws in normally. Just be sure you use a drill bit smaller then the self tapping screws. The end pipes should already have a pre-drilled hole in them from Everbilt. If not, just drill your own.
@@DevaultFamilyLiving Ok, thankyou.
Hello friend great video only thing is you need to make the video closer so people can actually see what your doing exactly thanks buddy ps I love your dog so awsome I want one lol
That for the advise. That was only the 2nd or 3rd video. I ever made. Still learning, but I will get better. Have a great day and thanks for watching.
What did you use to cut the rails? I've tried a hacksaw and an angle grinder so far, and I'm not having much success.
I am pretty sure that I used a pneumatic grinder with a cut off wheel. An electric grinder with a cut off wheel should have no problem either. You could also try a Sawzall with a metal cutting blade. I am really surprised that what you have already tried isn't working to be honest.
@DevaultFamilyLiving , in my defense, I'm a 64 year old woman with significant arthritis, limited strength, rudimentary skills, and no workshop, working alone on the project. After getting an estimate on putting in a gate, I decided to try to do it myself. I'd never used an angle grinder before, and I have no vise to secure the pipe while I'm working. After seeing some information on CZcams University, I'll be buying some bi-metal saw blades for my hacksaw and giving it another go.
@MJ Hepburn no defense needed. I'm sure that you will do a fine job. A good blade on the saw should make it much easier. Good luck, and have a great day.
The hinge and latch bars are called uprights
That for the info.
I came here to see how the hinges attached. Do you just tighten it super tight? ???
I tighten them as tight as anyone normally would tighten them down. Didn't have to reef on them or anything.
@@DevaultFamilyLiving I can't see from the pictographs instructions for my dog kennel gate, how the hinge part stays up. I tighten the bolt and it still slides down. What am I missing. It looks fairly straightforward. Obviously I'm doing something wrong.
@@NoteFromSELF Mine just clamp to the post that is set in the ground. Nothing else, and no other parts. I would double check and make sure the hinge clamps are the correct size for the post. If they are, then the only thing that I could suggest is to put them where you want them, drill a hole all the way through the clamp and post, and then put a stainless steel bolt and nut through the drilled hole. The hinge will not move then. If you would like to send me photos on our Facebook page (Devault Family Living), I can take a look at what you have and try to help you further. Or you can email me photos.
👍🏼👍🏼
thank you
what is outer diameter of the pipe?
Looks to be 1 and 5/16 when I measure it with a tape measure but that is with my poor eyesight. A little more accurate is 34 mm OR 1.33 Inches when I used a caliper.
That didn't look to complicated
Not really
