What happens when your show gets upstaged on your home network by a cheesy live-action superhero show? You savage the hell out of it on your new home network, of course! We take a look at the first produced episode of Animaniacs (1993) season 3, SUPER STRONG WARNER SIBLINGS.
Very special thanks to Pop Arena ( / poparena ) for providing the inspiration for this series. Please, check out his Nick Knacks series, it's fantastic!

14:02 not only that, it was the first episode of Animaniacs put in production since the show's premiere and subsequent rivalry with Power Rangers.
Remember, Animaniacs' second season (and its last on FOX) was just cobbled together from material left over from the first production season.

An astute point, and one I’m kicking myself about for not bringing up in the video!

Easily one of the best parodies in the show. It does come off as bitter if you know the context of why they're doing a parody of MMPR, but considering they're punching up and (aside from the fake moral at the end) not necessarily being dishonest when it comes to critiquing aspects of MMPR, I don't think it's a problem.
I know most people aren't fond of the Kids' WB seasons of Animaniacs, and yeah, seasons 4 and 5 aren't nearly as good as most of the Fox Kids run; but I think segments like Super Strong Warner Siblings prove that season 3 at least is REALLY solid.

I recall Tiny Tunes did a send up of Super Mario Bros., It was SO well executed.
What where the other segments in the episode? No recollection, I only remember the Mario Bros. Spoof.

So it was the KACME-TV episode (which is excellent), yeah - that part was the highlight of the episode.

I’m still really disappointed that Animaniacs only produced 30 episodes for The WB. It’s so weird for something so beloved. But Japan struck again, it seems

This is a riot! They didn't leave the Fox Kids' Network; they just took it with them! Also, Animaniacs had beaten out a lot of other shows, in the 90s, such as Tiny Toon Adventures, and the entire Disney Afternoon block. I'm surprised that wasn't mentioned in the video. Also, the PSA segment at the end of the episode actually was pretty indicative of The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and most shows of the 80s and 90s, mostly mocking the "Just Say No" to drugs campaigns.
Oh, by the way, the woodchuck's name was Charlton, not Clayton. His name was supposed to based off of Charlton Heston. Also, the Bun Control episode of 2020 was just a shameless rip-off of Super Strong Warner Siblings.

Not gonna lie, I was humming the quake song when the random NJ quake hit recently. But unlike Northridge, there wasn't a body count for that quake, so maybe it was a little less inappropriate.
EDIT: Is Freakazoid really on the table?!

Don't you find it funny/tragic that whenever Animaniacs is on a channel, it gets upstaged by a Japanese property? More often than not, a TOEI IP?
In 1993, The MMPR took the crown. Much to the shock of the entire Animaniacs staff.
Fast forward to 1998, The Warner Siblings thought they a better shot on Cartoon Network.
If Freakazoid, Road Rovers, Waynehead, Tiny Toons, and Especially Batman: The Animated Series got a warm reception, why not them?
Alas, It was the Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z tag-team that knocked the Sibs down for the count. And The Powerpuff Girls gave them the hook.
In 1999, With the release of Wakko's Wish, the Queen Bees at Time Warner would pay more attention to them.
Unfortunately for them, Kids WB picked up a show from the slums of Syndication: *POKÉMON.*
The Warner siblings just couldn't win.
