    Love white tea in the Spring. Being in Hawaii I just had a 2022 Hawaiian silver Needle and 2022 Hawaiian “Moonlight White”. Both were very small batch teas, but were stunners to start off 2022. Thank you for your great content!

      Sounds great! Moonlight white is one of my all time favorites.

    All white tea is good but I agree…silver needle is my favorite, not counting aged white. A few years ago I got a really rare top quality bai mudan from Four Seasons. The difference was huge…so good.

      There really nothing quite like a super high quality white tea. It's a game changer.

    I love bai mu dan i find it sweeter and more floral. I have had silver needle 3 times now and I find it kind of sour so I don’t like it too much but maybe I just had bad silver needle

      Silver needle is much more subtle but definitely shouldn't be sour. Bai Mu Dan is generally my go to because you do get more flavor out of it.

    Does white tea have any health benefits that green, oolong, puerh, or black tea does not have?

    • @teaformeplease
      @teaformeplease  Před dnem

      Not really! Since all tea comes from the same plant they all have some level of caffeine, L-theanine, and antioxidants. The healthiest tea is the one you like because you'll actually want to drink it.

      @@teaformeplease Fair to assume Mudan has slightly less caffeine than Silver Needle?

    • @teaformeplease
      @teaformeplease  Před 7 měsíci

      It depends on how many buds, but yes it usually does have less than silver needle.

      @@teaformeplease funny how many boutiques say Needle is “low caffeine” and brewed at 180. Kinda like the American myth that 18-22k gold is soft as butter.

    I have a question,being the novice doof that I am.
    How do you reccomend storing whole leaf tea?
    I keep them in the bags that they are delivered in,but I notice that many people put them in tins.
    Which is better?
    Because I have the cutest collection of Italian tins,but fear that it’s not good for the leaves!

    • @teaformeplease
      @teaformeplease  Před 2 lety +1

      As long as the tins are designed for airtight storage of something like tea and don't have strong odors they should be ok. It depeneds on personal preference. I tend not to use tins because I have WAY too many teas (just under 200 right now).
