Don't ogle in order not to kill me
Don't drink wine with everyone in order not to make me eat my liver's blood (not to suffer)
Don't muitiny in order not to make my shout reach heaven
Don't be the most famous girl in the city in order not to make me homeless in mountains (not to make me mad)
Don't imitate Shirin*'s passion in order not to make me Farhad*
Have a mercy upon me and come to my rescue
In order not to allow my shout reach God
Hafez won't refuse being in pains because of you
I'm free from that day since I got captured by you
Dey de ley ley ley ley
Dey de ley ley ley ley
Don't drink wine with everyone in order not to make me eat my liver's blood (not to suffer)
Don't muitiny in order not to make my shout reach heaven
Don't make your hair curl in order not to capture me
Don't make your hair curl in order not to let me go on wind
Don't be friend with starngers in order not to make me forget myself (to make me crazy)
Don't be upset because of strangers' sorrows in order not to make me upset
Don't make your hair curl in order not to capture me
Don't make your hair curl in order not to let me go on wind
Show your face in order to make me careless about flower
Show your tallness in order to make me carless about cedar
Don't be a candle in every party, otherwise you would burn me
Don't think about every nation in order not to forget about me

My first comment here . Namjoo definitely is a phenomena . The lyrics are ancient back to human history and of course Persia . A 700 years old poem came into life by his mesmerizing style . It’s like blending the generations . HE WAS THE SONG is the best sentence for what he has created

Shirin & Farhad are symbols of love in Persian literature like Romeo & Juliette, they have a really nice love story with a sad ending.... and the charector of the song refers his lover as to Shirin. At a certain point the voice changes to an old man's voice, that's one of the beauties of this song, it illustrates that the boy singing this song has grown old and still he hasn't got to his lover and he is still alone.

The Nederland Blazers are quite a wonderful band also. I like the fact that you took a chance on an unknown (to you) artist. I have the feeling that he is very well known indeed wherever he is from.

This song, Zolf is hus song & composed by Namjoo, this Iranian artist. I guess his style is different even in Iran and as far as I know he mixes Iranian classical, folk music and sometimes jazz in a kind of fusion music style. Below is his other song, "Sanama" , probably you'll like. Tanx

You know what is interesting Everytime Mohsen Namjoo performs this song, it's a completely new song and by far this is the most strange and the most interesting one. Maybe you can check the original Toranj song mohsen sang it for an Iranian actress whom her sez video leaked out and became viral hence her career as well as her reputation got doomed.. Yas (rapper) was the only other artists who sang for her

A rich poem that has its roots in the culture of ancient Iran. This style of music is a return to past loves and people who were pure and honest. A combination of rich music style and mystical music. You feel ambiguity in all poetry. Which refers to heavenly love and earthly love at the same time. I am very interested in the poems of ancient Iran and the myths of ancient Greece
