The scream when Trunks turned Super Saiyan is one of the most emotional screams I’ve ever heard in any voice acting role. It makes me tear up every time. Kaiser did an amazing job and I just wanted that to be pointed out.
"Fly up!" The throwbacks to Gohan and Piccolo's trainings are hilarious. 😂
That's one of the things that makes TFS so good, their continuity. 👌🏾

They are great at making you laugh during sad moments cause it doesnt feel forced. It feels like natural dialogue These characters would say and it just so happens to be funny

TFS in their commentary talked about a joke they didnt use in this. Two of them pitched it and 1 of then vetoed it. It was a joke that they would cut to a scene of Gohan and Bulma having sex
Also the protein they have is her mothers clones
The rules are kinda weird in Back to the Future as well. Biff of 2015 goes to the past and alters the timeline starting in 1955. So that is why when Doc and Marty go back in time to 1985 they arrive on the new branch of timeline. But that rule doesn't jive with earlier in the movie where Biff changes the past in 1955 yet was able to return to his prime timeline, he should have ended up in alternate 2015.

So the screaming in the background was a reference to the episode on Namek where Vegeta gets furious after finding out Gohan stole his Dragon Ball and begins screaming so hard that it shows Frieza can hear him across the planet, then Goku on his spaceship in space and then it actually flashes forward to that scene in this special (although some of the lines were different) where Trunks actually hears him and questions the screaming 😂 I liked the references they stuck in here.
Your question about if it's multiverse theory:
Yes, multiverse theory is the concept that there are an infinite amount of timelines with something different in each. If you chose to eat Fruity Pebbles, there's a timeline you ate Cocoa Pebbles. So if you travel to the past to before your timeline split off in its direction, and you alter the past, it won't change the future of your timeline, so you just create a new timeline.
I understand you might know some of this, I just want to clear up any confusion about it.

Good point. I always knew it was in his head but I never realized Piccolo pronounced it correctly.

10:55 at this point gohan kinda does fight them on the regular and each time he becomes stronger because they like to play with their food to some degree so he would always escape when it got tough and that would give him his senkai boost so the next time he'd be stronger, this time however because he had trunks there he wasn't able get away as easily
And the next time I believe after years they kinda got tired of his shit and also the lost of his arm meant that he got combo'd harder

It’s multiverse theory. The future time line was the first, trunks time travelled to make the present timeline (the one we watch) and the future did not change so it’s basically MCU time travel
AND 2009 _Star Trek_ time travel logic.

Side topic, but I remember when Buu Saga Dub Version 1st aired in the US. The fandom was kinda pissed at how Goten and "Past Trunks" were SSJ's so young and without having to go thru any kinda trauma to get there.
I think in people's minds, it kinda cheapened the form/transformation and trivalized the sacrifice it took to get there. I mean, Goku, losing Krillin, Geetz doing pushups and drinking lots of juice (lol, sike), him chasing after Goku with a psychotic fervor and extreme envy.
I think in Buu Saga (original), Gohan and Geetz even make this comment about how easy the next generation was able to attain the legendary SSJ form.
From then on, I think ppl started doubting the whole "powerlevel scoring."
To some extent I could see Goten having an easier time getting it since he would have been conceived after Goku had learned the form and was way stronger so it would have been present in his DNA.
Present Trunks though was conceived and born before Vegeta gained the form so he should have had a similarly tough experience unlocking it as his Future self.
Realistically though I know they only did it so they could contribute in the saga as well as make the Super Saiyan Bargain Bin joke.

13:54 Funnily enough, in many video games in which Future Gohan is his own character, he can indeed use the Special Beam Cannon. Which makes sense because in his timeline Goku died pretty early on, leaving Gohan to train with Piccolo instead. So it would make sense that he picked up Piccolos techniques.
