He was naive to assume you were stock. I used to run a 2010 Mustang GT sleeper with a Saleen twin screw blower. Turbo'd JDMs used to gravitate toward me because they assumed I was the one who was bone stock. It was priceless when they were the ones who got fooled. It's too bad we never ran into each other, but that would have been fun.
You used to gravitate towards JDMs I suppose
@@Zebness990 Actually no. My daily commute of 80 miles used to take me through counties where they happened to be all the time.
I gotta build a car for rolls.
I've only owned motorcycles and there is no point in even racing half the stuff u see, unless we get in to some corners.
I prefer track cars so I'd wanna build an MR2 or something and not worry about power as much, but out here in Houston with these 6 lane freeways it makes sense to do something just for the rolls even if they get boring pretty fast.
It's less about the driving and more about the building, and then putting your pride and joy up against other cars, and putting grease all on the steering wheel haha

I've always loved the lock of that gen TL
The TL line up is just amazing. The power, the handling, everything is perfect on them.
I got one and plan on keeping it even tho this Gas situation is killer! Mine has some body damage from the previous owners but the transmission and engine still purrs like a kitten :)

It's not going to stop him from going to jailâŠI think what he's doing is crazy. He's going to get caught.
Man this guy is an inspiration, this is what I have always wanted to do my whole life, getting a JDM car, with little to none cosmetic upgrades, and spending money on just the engine and focus on the performance of the car. Anybody out there will think you are running on stock but they don't even know what you are packing under the hood, it's just satisfying when someone is fooled by the stock facade of the car and getting gapped so hard.
Yeah sure bro....you're priorities in life are a bit immature and lame.
@@lntrlp4936 How is it immature? and lame? I'm just saying what I like and love. What the fuck is your problem?
and I'm just saying that I'm inspired by him to have a sleeper car. What is so mature and cool dream then? To have a family car and start a family and all that boring adult stuffs? Yeah sure I'll eventually get to that point, we all will. But I'll enjoy my youth building a sleeper car. You better watch your mouth sir. You are being a little condescending. You are just the type who thinks they are "old" and "mature" and that they are filled with more "wisdom". GTFO with that puny brain of yours.
There's is a crew in Germany that does this with the VW Golf MK2. I think they're called Glocker maybe with the umlaut. Anyway I saw a couple of videos from them ditching Porsches and Ferraris that were totally fun to watch. They made minor cosmetic changes though.
You could just buy a Lexus ISF and have 420hp stock and everyone assumes it's a normal IS. Literally no one I've ever met knows that they exist. Especially in Europe.
That si is sick. I like you're train of thought on getting a car that's relatable and obtainable. There lots of people out here flexing their Z06 ZL1's, 1100 HP R34 GT-R, and widebody Hellcats; it's nice to see a humble car.
Redline MTL trans oil made my transmission feel a ton better especially with the 1st - 2nd. in my 08 si. Not sure what you're running but just throwing that out there since I see you having that issue I had.

If ur getting locked out or grinding into 2nd and 3rd I would try the hybrid racing cmc and slave they have a kit for $275. Supposedly it helps alot of ppl with that problem
that's where I started my journey, but it didn't make a difference, the 1-2 shaft was broken on mine when I got it rebuilt by synchrotech.
Do NOT buy the em1 cmc. Itâs a waste of money and will do more harm than anything. Itâs not made for our cars and itâs only a coincidence that it works for ours
Continue using your oem cmc or replace it with a new oem one, then ADJUST it properly so it engages each gear smoothly. Also take the delay valve out of the slave cylinder or have a mechanic do it, thatâs whatâs causing grinding when shifting into second gear too quickly. It limits the fluid so it âslipsâ the clutch so you donât cause too much damage from dumping it
@@sums6969 Iâve heard it works for a lot of ppl with 8th and 9th gens. Iâm about to put mine in

I had that issue with the 2 gear, you should replace the cmc, Iâm using the k-tuned one and now is like butter and also check the clutch pedal bracket, they tend to broke very easily so it donât let the clutch to engage completely
Clutch pedal bracket? What are signs of this breaking
@@ethanmoore4314 gears grinding and very stiff, all because the clutch is not engaging, check the 3 bolts of the clutch pedal bracket if are broken, you can tell if when you push the clutch feels like a click, You can just weld it, itâs the best option instead of buying a new one because if you get a new one or used one it will break in the future

nice car man. I had a buddy in high school with one same color with a jackson racing supercharger build that was cool. love those cars !!!!!!!
Not an import lover by any stretch, but I'm fair and can respect a build no matter what it is. Plus, your Honda sounds really good and you're not a jackass about it. Good stuff my guy.
I can appreciate any car built by the driver's own two hands.
It only makes sense for roll races, drag races etc. Cause it ain't the driving that makes it what it is, it's about the car so to me that is more for the builder rather than the driver.
Be both I say. Working on a vehicle is fun, frustrating too but also therapeutic.
But man once you get some grease under your nails, you'll be listening for every little sound always worrying when you redline her out. Mechanical sympathy and paranoia
So you like American junk cars?
Just adjust your CMC and get fresh oil, that's what I did with my 8th and could bang 2nd no problem. I had the same lockout issue in 2nd gear prior to that.
I did the same a little adjustment and asmoil trans fluid and I was golden

boost your mustang and see what happens...
@@-kap1t545 even if he boost his mustang, there's civics and integras out there that will still give him a hard time. I know this, because my 5.0 is boosted and a 90's civic hatch walked me like I was standing still smh.
2nd gear is such a PITA on these transmissions. From what I have read it seems to be correlated to the clutch dampener but removing that really messes with clutch pedal engagement (not in a good way). You either have to baby the 1-2 or just do 2nd+ hear pulls. My 2017 accord has the exact same problems.
Itâs not a transmission issue, itâs a clutch master cylinder issue. No issues with clutch pedal engagement as long as you install it properly
â@@icelover3 It's definitely a transmission issue. If you've ever rebuilt a K series transmission you would know. The synchro cones on the gears wear out and the synchro can't drop down. Like the gears in a K series transmission will literally wear out faster than the synchros. Which is why you get that brick wall feeling when trying to shift under load.
@@koopatroopa187 I have an FA5 with 250k km's (155k miles), and it has only had the brick wall feeling when it had the stock CMC/slave. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I think the main issue is the stock CMC.
