A man bares his soul, rises from the hell he created, and commits to help ANYONE going through their own hells. And one brave internet hero gives this man’s testimony a thumbs down vote with no reason. I’m both confused and impressed at the same time.

I had 1.5 years clean. I was working on the steps. I went out of the halls while getting back with an ex that i was trying to fix. I don't know why I am babbling or what point I am trying to make. All I know is i am so close to surrendering again. I told someone that i am struggling with addiction earlier. I was in awe that this person had 10 years clean, relapsed and now has 3 yrs clean. I am in dire need of guidance. Now that i finally have a car again why am i so scared to get back in the halls again?? Oh well. Peace and be safe.

This video made me cry, ngl. It touches up on alot of the thing I had to deal with when my gf was struggling with her meds, and then overdosed herself with them. I always blamed myself for it, and I still feel some guilt for it. This was last year, and it still hurts. But hearing this has helped me so much. Thank you for all you have done Tommy

This interview opened my mind to another level of understanding of this horrible disease. You're such a strong and inspirational man, thank you for everything you do ❤

  • @trishahargrove-wilson9979

I needed to hear this today. I've been going through a difficult time in my marriage and alcohol is what's causing this(not on my part, but I do partake to help numb what I know will come. Anger.) I so needed to hear this and share this. I'm so grateful to hear people speak about their recoveries, because it's possible. I have my vises, I'm not perfect, but because of what my family is dealing with, I want to be better for me, then for my kids and so on. Thank you for being so transparent, Tommy. Lately, you and your music, your words... it's keeping me strong.

I completely identify with the inability to stop. I can go periods without, but when I start it’s a cycle of binge drinking. Drinking allows me to feel things I avoid when sober. I feel I need to drink to feel. Thank you this was great to hear.

This was such a comforting talk to hear; I have needed this detailed explanation for years, really this helps understand all my dad suffered from. My dad was a alcoholic and struggled so hard to quit as a senior at 75YO - he never was able to because of his diabetes (many clinics wouldn’t take him as it was really risky during detox and doing it himself was impossible.) I wish I could have helped him but his embarrassment and my mom berating him all the time, really made it twice as hopeless.

I've never came forward before yes its very true alcohol and drugs became ones comfort zone. But I'm sober since 2010 been strong ever since. Like always I find other things to do when really having a shity time. Instead of helping one it actually lead to more depression one does hurt lot of people in the process. Now I'm able to be around alcohol an not wanting it. I'm so proud honey eyes you became so put spoken an willing wanting helping all others keep strong Tommy Vext may God bless you always ❤️ may he guide you through your journey and life 🙏 ❤️ love ❤️

Hey Tommy I don't know if you read your comments but I have something to say. The first time I heard you sing was when a girl sent me Zombie by bad wolves and it is one of my all time best ever songs to go to when i'm down, today is suppose to be my fathers birthday, he passed away about three years ago, one weak before he had to go back to rehab for alcohol abuse. Anyway the reason for my comment is to suggest two songs by Eagles, hotel California and tequila sunrise, those two where some of my fathers favorite songs and I think you would sing them exceptionally. I hope to hear more great covers from you and best of luck on your journey
