Its accually a REAL BEAST
I own one myself and I really love it
Same 2020 rubi gladiator white and the 3.6 might be slow on the road but jeeez that thing is the little power plant that won’t give up no matter what you throw at it even with a full trailer it can’t be stopped
and you own a 100k sxs too ... wow
@@AmericanFry my brother's first gear WK2 Grand had the pentastar... gutless, but he sold it at 240k miles without an issue. Car had so many recalls for everything else, but he never had an actual failure. I think the pentastar with the aisin manual would be ridiculously reliable.
Ditto
@hunkgod haha
Tommy has really come into his own on TFL. Becoming one of my favorite vehicle reviewers.
I noticed that too.
Agreed.
Yes-with his brief asides, you’re getting the straight dope on what works, what doesn’t, and what’s silly, at least from his point-of-view. I prefer his solo work to him riding shotgun with Roman.
Agreed!
Mine as well
Call me weird but the steelies are probably my favorite feature on the entire truck.
Not weird, those rims look awesome on the Gladiator
Weirdo
I like other steelies but these look like the ones people swap out with snow tires on their cars in the winter.
Personally I find they look too much like the wheels some cheap ass beater civic would have, wish they looked more like the Steelies you could get on H3Ts
Looks amazing with those steels
Now that is an honest review. Respect Tommy.
First time I see a video telling me how not so great the deck system is. I love this channel
Great review. I enjoy Tommy's sensible advice about features and options that meet needs and not just wants.
" it cant drive like a cabbage truck" ha Tommy showing his age w the dad jokes!
When you hang out with Roman too much.
Uh I think he actually said cabbage "cart" didnt he? Thats really showing his age or giving us some insight into him possibly spending some time either on an Amish farm or in a third world country doing some farming lol.
I went for the ecodiesel option. Full tilt. Absolutely love the rig. Power is fantastic. I've had to take a couple of trips to Oregon from Colorado so I've already got miles on it. The last trip out and back I got 34 mpg. Granted some of that mileage was following big rigs doing 75-80 mph using the radar cruise control. Note: the radar cruise is amazing - set it and it will follow (pace) the next vehicle in front no problem. Even if the followed vehicle comes to a stop- the Jeep will stop fully also. At that point the CC disengages. When the traffic starts to move simply tap "resume" and it takes off again. Absolutely effortless to drive. With the Banks Power mod it would be absolutely no problem with 40's and re-gearing wouldn't be necessary. Towing? You bet. This is way more torque than the gasser.
Bought from Johnson Auto Plaza in Brighton, Colorado. 😁👍
Yes, the Decked option seems like a huge waste of space. Granted the plastic is so heavy duty that you could load a pallet of wood stove pellets on top of it no problem. But the option is way overpriced for what you get and it is not easily removed should you need to haul a bulky item.
I have the Mopar lights on the front bumper - yes the are expensive no doubt but they are well built all metal casting and CRAZY bright. Would definitely buy them again.
have u found any noteable issues with the ecodeisel? because im not sure of which one to get for a better power:price ratio
Any problems with the ecodiesel yet? I don’t understand how you’re getting 34 mpg. I’m lucky to get 18. I knew it was rated higher, but I didn’t think the diesel was rated that much higher.
Diesel is paradise.
And in general, the engine lasts so much longer than gas.
Cause since it’s an oil, it preserves the parts
Garbage
Just found your channel the other day after buying my Grand Cherokee limited. Absolutely love your channel and your style. No BS, great info, and fun to watch. Keep up the great work!
Nicely made video. Excellent narration. Well filmed and edited. And Tommy knows his 4-wheel drive vehicles. Thank you & well done, TFL!
I'm not sure what happened in the industry where people expect pickup trucks to drive like 1970 luxury sedans, but the Gladiator is fantastic. It's raw it's simple it's purposeful and unique. There's nothing like it in my opinion. And the fact that you can get in a manual is fantastic for us who will forever embrace manual shift ❤️🔥
Exactly why I bought it. Last American manual
That decked drawer thing honestly looks so useless just get a box and it'll do the same thing and take up way less space
I hate those drawers too
It's OK in a full-size, my old man's got one in his F150, lets him keep all his tools dry and with the taller bed sides there's still room for stacking bags of mulch or carrying loose gravel. Looks like it takes basically all the height in this jeep though
I would rather get a 250 litre (65 gallon) in-bed extra fuel tank to increase the driving range, especially if I got the ecodiesel option. If you are trying to get AWAY from civilization, then the more range you have the better! Since I would be using this as an off-road 4x4 boondocking/overlanding vehicle, I would get the fully metal and taller truck bed cover which will keep all my gear dry AND let me used it as an actual sleeping bed if I buy one of those pull-out truck bed extenders that make the truck bed a full 2 to 3 feet longer than it's current 5 feet length.
I would also get special in-bed racks for TWO 40 lbs Propane tanks for my cooking needs, my extra wheeled portable fridge, portable BBQ, some roll-up solar blankets and a 1500 watt 120v battery/iinverter to power my 150 watt ceramic heater and portable electronics. Add my inflatable bed and extra winter-rated driving cabin and bad-bed insulation for the coldest Canadian winters and a rack to hold my Shortwave and VHF radios and a Starlink satellite dish for my 120 megabit works-anywhere Internet/Netflix TV/IP Phone connection. Add the rooftop rack for my extra MRE/IMP rations, inflatable kayak and other fishing/camping gear and I will be staying away from the rest of the world for six months!
v
I dig the steel wheels.
Y'all put out THE best vehicle content out there. Thanks
I _love_ this kind of review Tommy. I bought a 7 year old 2013 Land Rover LR4, 6 months ago based on your other videos. The LR4, with it’s 375hp Ford 5.0L V8, has been one of my all-time favorite trucks. That’s saying a lot, since I used to be convinced that I would forever be a full-size truck driver.
I’m looking forward to the long-term review on TFL’s (3rd) Defender 2, and hoping you’re the one to make it - snarky comments and all. 😂
When we tested a Rubicon Gladiator, we used a sound meter and we measured 71 decibels at 50 mph. On the same day, we measured a Honda CR-V EX-L as well on the same exact roads and it measured 72 decibels at 50 mph.
We were impressed and bought the Gladiator two months later.
That's basically average to average, weird reason to pinpoint for buying the gladiator.
It's not quiet, it's average.
@@greuju got one here
@@greuju hater spotted
For something with a removable roof, average is very good
Truly beautiful build. I just got my 2021 JT and am having fun creating memories. I love the 8spd and am excited to build mine up.
Jeep really needs to bring back the 4.0 straight 6 ! Best Jeep motor ever made . Love the Steelies get cap to cover the rust .
I'm 6'1" with a 36" inseam. Recline the driver's seat about two inches. It makes all the difference in the world.
Nice love/hate recap Tommy. Hearing you talk about it through the last year's videos, I think you are really going to miss that Gladiator.
Always enjoy the content you provide . Great show and great work thank you
Great job! Nice to see Blaze doing a perimeter check 😜
Thank you for the honest review of Decked! It is massively overpriced, and under-engineered. It is a plastic warehouse pallet with Home Depot drawers!
Those two drawers seem to waste so much space on the sides. I feel like you get half the width of the bed in those. Terrible
So it massively overpriced and under engineered, sounds like a Jeep
Great video. Amazing editing. Thank you
Really great review. Thank you!
Why do people hate the 3.6L? That thing is pretty reliable. And I’m a Toyota fan.
There are people for whom hating is recreation...
@10:16 "it's hard to get it into 4Lo"
That's because you guys are doing it wrong! The manual clearly states to have the vehicle rolling at 2-3mph when shifting into 4Lo.
Which is how the vast majority of vehicles are. How do car reviewers not know that
True that!
So sad to see it go. I have enjoyed all the Gladiator reviews and footage!
This was a great sales video. Good luck to the next bidder/owner!
Great video! I have been lusting after a Jeep pickup with a diesel for years. I’m waiting for the second gen ecodiesel to get the kinks worked out.
It always amazes me that people buy a convertible with the hard top and then never take it off because it’s a pain in the ass. I know that soft tops are really cold up north I’m the winter, but soft tops are so much easier to put down. Same goes for the full hard doors. Get aftermarket soft doors and it’s a breeze to take them off and toss in the back. The open air top down doors off is the best part. The easier you make it, the more you will do it.
One thing about a jeep... its heater works well. Youll never have an issue warming it even with a soft top. However, road noise is another story.
@@benwilliams2487 I had a 94 YJ with a soft top. I'm willing to deal with the road noise to get the fun of putting the top down quickly. Most people get hard tops and never take it off because it is a pain in the butt.
The led lights, auxiliary switches and the alpine stereo are must haves. You can add those options but they are a pain. The build overall looks good!
The lights can be changed in literally 30 minutes and half the price but I’d agree with the other two
After doing custom electronics installs on prior vehicles, that Jeep provides both in and outside cab pig tails with high amperage ratings and configurable latching/momentary operation is massive. You could totally e things on your own but it would be a lot of work and wouldn’t achieve the same seamless integration. This is such a cool and handy feature.
Good video Tommy. I like your videos because they are always very detailed.
I love my 2020 Overland! I put a 2.5 lift, 35/20 wheels, shorty stinger bumper, KC lights, and trail doors. I can't wait to drive it every day!!
Dream rig 😍! This is actually what I wanted when I was looking for a new vehicle about a month ago. Sadly gladiators and wrangler's are just outside of what I could realistically afford. I ended up in a very used 16 honda fit EX-L, which isn't a bad car but it's an appliance. I was really sad trading in my old mitsubishi outlander and wish I had kept it and just made the repairs. Anyway I don't live far from Colorado and would probably use the snot of a vehicle like this. Whomever buys this rig is getting a great setup. Loved all the videos you guys made with it.
Keep grinding, you’ll get one of these someday!
down to earth kid, his parents should be proud. good job Tommy
Another brilliant review Tommy , thanks .
Tommy always does great reviews.
I have had a 2019 Grand Cherokee limited with the same V6 as the gladiator for the past two years. That engine does not deserve the hate it gets. It's smooth, quiet, adequately powerful and not too much of a gas hog.
Coming from a 94 Wrangler with the inline six to a 2017 with the V6, I definitely like the extra horsepower of the V6. But I really miss the old engine's low-end grunt. The V6 puts most of its power out at higher revs like a car engine, which is nice on the highway, but not as nice when you need it to get the weight of the jeep moving up a steep grade from a dead stop.
@@shmehfleh3115 Yea, I had a 2000 Cherokee sport with the i6 several years back and that was a great engine. It wasn’t as powerful on paper as the V6 in my Grand Cherokee but it felt like a truck engine and really suited the character of the Jeep.
As far as looks I’m actually a fan of them. I really like them with the bed topper on it. Really my only hate is for the tail lights. I’m not a fan of the way they poke out the sides. Think they could have been designed better. Great video!
Thank you for a great review. Really enjoyed it. One day I’ll own one. It’s a beautiful Jeep. Very honest, really appreciate it.
Great review man, I love what you guys have done with it, to the point I copied you idea of using shoe steelies on my Gobi Max Tow. I'm disappointed though you guys are selling it already and never got to do the long off-roading trips and camping you said you would.
i didnt think you would be getting rid of this jeep...ill miss seeing it on the channel
I'm not sure if you've seen it, but they make seat brackets that give you an extra 4" or so. Quadratec stocks them.
You’re awesome
Do they work for Wranglers too? I assume so but...
Yes, they are the Misch 4X4 Big Boy Seat Bracket for 18-21 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT.
My savior!
You are the BEST!!!
Thanks for a great review.
I agree. Great simplistic look that compliments the rest of the truck.
You forgot one "Hate" item - Windshield always cracks in a Jeep Gladiator or Wrangler, even without rocks hitting it.
@Frugal Family Living lol great analogy
Caution: marketing guy from DECKED here. Thanks for the honest review, and to be honest, it does not leave much room in the bed for other stuff if you don't have a rack or other containment. When Jeep made the Gladiator, it was two years after we had made our product for the Tacoma market, and we didn't see the reason to redesign for the Gladiator since the bed is tiny anyway-- they put the most pinner truck bed ever made on it, my kid's sandbox is bigger. Why? We don't know. They designed it to carry heavy loads, so why not give the user a real bed? Probably aesthetics is my guess. But the product we make fit, so why not make it work for the Gladiator? (if we hadn't we would have gotten a molotov cocktail thrown through an office window by angry Gladiator owners). You do lose space on the cabside end of the wheel wells, but Tommy failed to point out the two storage bins on the outboard sides of the tailgate end of the bed which are quite large and useful for segmenting and organizing loose things like straps, tie downs, hitches, cleaning products, camping items, etc). And our product does take up about a 4" wide swath down the middle of the bed with the center support. Otherwise the rest of the space is quite usable and arguably more useful. You do get a flat surface that actually gives you more level square footage to work with (but again I am the marketing guy so take that for what it's worth). What you gain, as Tommy mentions, is secure and weatherproof storage which is easy to access-- you don't need to crawl into the back of the truck. It's a tradeoff like anything else about this vehicle, including the vehicle itself. We do make some really affordable drawer accessories which would have made them even more useful, but it doesn't look like, from this video anyway, that much was ever put in the drawers. You can read un-edited & filtered reviews (except for obscenity) here decked.com/products/decked-jeep-gladiator?variant=15836002615362&year=2021
Great pros and cons review!
Great review, thanks!
This might be Tommy's best work. Well done :)
I agree, the Gladiators don't look good unless they're lifted 2". I went for a '19 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk with the 5.7. Amazing road manners and you can still do some off-roading. We cruised from GA to Moab, UT, ran trails, and Cadillac'd back home.
Great review! Many thanks.🌻
I’ve had my base model sport gladiator with the 6 speed for over a year and it’s been a great vehicle. By far my favorite Jeep that I’ve had. That being said, I may look into a 6.4 Hemi swap one day.
I absolutely, Positively love my diesel gladiator
I would really like to see TFL do a long term review on the new ecodiesel. If I get a Gladiator, that’s the engine I want.
@@rvboyett I have never posted a video but if you subscribe to my channel I plan on doing some videos about how it goes
Just picked up my Mojave. Rack is already installed, next is the trailer brake switch, then 35’s and finally the Magnuson Supercharger. Can’t wait to have it all done!!!
I’ve had my Gladiator Rubicon for 13 months now; have 35” tires and winch and I’m my groups recovery vehicle, mostly Tacoma’s. I usually change vehicles quite often but still really like my Rubicon.
Nooo don’t sell it, this is the best build you guys have ever done. The truck is so cool and I still love seeing it in videos. Please make more content with it.
Don't sell it until I can afford to buy it!
Any long term review on the RoofNest, see lot of rust on the tent in your video.
I had one for a week as a rental truck and I thought it drove better than the 2020 Canyon and 2020 Ram 1500 (that I have so had recently as rentals). I was impressed with the Jeep and so was my family. They loved rolling around Phoenix with the top off!
Where are at and who rents out jeeps as loaner cars?
I bought the steelies because of your build. Love that old school Land Rover look. Im going the same route with mopar snorkel, bumper and steelies. Also added the Mojave Fox 2.5” shocks. Appreciate the uploads and updates on your Gladiator. I love mine!!!
There are other Snorkels on Quadratec that you don’t have to cut the hood. Just in case you did not know about it.
I personally dont like them. Great idea and concept but I dont like the way they look. Not to mention the heat soak from under hood tubing on hot days.
Spray a bit of black plastidip over the hubs. It will keep the moisture out and look better.
i hate those "home solutions" that make a mess for the professionals ... take your flex tape, thopmsons water seal, expanding foam and silicone based caulk and throw them in the trash with that can of plastidip before your tempted to plastidip anything else ... im sure you've done every tool and half the silverware in you house already
@@philtripe home solutions lmao? Nowadays someone at their own home can have access to anything a pro can and a real "professional" wouldn't complain about a thin peelable bit of plastic maybe find a new hobby 😆🤣
I'd suggest a light spray of corrosion inhibitor, like 'Corrosion Free'...
@@philtripe because plastidipping the little hub on the rim is such a mess for professionals 🙄 if that's going to give you a hard time I don't want you working on my car.
@@philtripe you mean the “professionals” that can’t diagnose a problem without an OBDII code?
Did we forget about the defroster problem? You have a video with over 200k views about it and it wasn’t mentioned. Cheers!
Very easy fix. Added anti fog. Zero issues in the last three months of winter driving.
What’s the defroster problem?
I'm glad I came across your review on the gladiator, I'm 6'8" tall and leg room is really important to me.
Don't be my friend believe me there were plenty of time's I wish I wasn't this tall (the top of my head has many scars) ,but l am thankful I'm not as tall as my great great grandfather who was 7'4"!! LOL
i've been seriously considering a gladiator but told myself i wasn't going to do anything in the 2021 calendar year until i see how the bronco performs in the real world with real people beating them up offroad. lol! man I want your truck!
buy it before i do
I get you. My JKUR is 9 years old now, and looking to be replaced relatively soon... but not until I see how the Bronco fares in the real world!
Do a face off of the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon vs TRD pro, Ranger Tremor, Colorado ZR2 bison. The contest will be “what’s the best mid-side off road truck you can get for around 55k.”
55k is obscene money for these little trucks.
I'll miss watching videos of that Gladiator. I own one myself and really love it. Mine's very similar to yours (leveling kit instead of lift) on 35s. I love taking the top and doors off. Aside from the passenger seat not having lumbar adjustment, I guess I really don't agree with you guys on the seats. I'm 6'5" and fit well. However, I don't drive as many trucks and upgraded from a 2000 Xterra... so I'm sure I'm wrong and am just enjoying the space and seat upgrade. I test drove a Tacoma and ZR2 and the Gladiator was hands down the best between the two. One thing that I don't like as a tall guy is having to duck my head down to see high stop lights when I'm stopped. It's not a big deal, but crinks my neck if I'm doing a lot of city driving. Farewell TFL Gladiator! I've enjoyed your videos.
Thanks God I am 5' nothing 😂 so, I not have it problem
Love my Gladiator 100%
Still have the gladiator? What kind of mileage are you getting in town?
@@DUNEATV I do! During the Midwest winter, with 35” tires and a leveling kit it’s at 13. Typical summers it’s 16. Highway it’s higher but I don’t commute far. Not very good but it’s a lot of fun (typical Jeep owner argument).
There are some other small annoyances with the Gladiator, mainly to do with towing. However, there are so many good things about this truck. I agree with all your positives. I have to state that your biggest beef seems to be with the seat. I have to disagree there. I’m 6’2" and probably have about 50 pounds on you. I push the seat all the way back and recline slightly. With the heated seats, it’s like heaven to me! Anyway, I enjoyed your review. Nice work!
Well everything you said is pretty much spot on! Although I don’t have an issue withe seating position but I’m only 5’10” on a tall day. Like you said the decked system is useless imo, defeats the point of having a truck box really. I’m sad that I won’t be seeing it on the channel anymore though.
Totally agree on the leg room issue. I was very interested in the Gladiator but at 6'2" I found it just plain uncomfortable to drive. They lost my sale almost solely due to that. If the seats had more travel you could have both good legroom AND be able to slide it forward if you needed more rear legroom. It seems like such an easily avoidable problem.
And its not just the Gladiator. The Wrangler is just as tight in my experience and my mother's Patriot is so bad I actually can't drive it. My knees hit the dash with the seat fully back.
i'm sad you're getting rid of this already, but hopefully you're replacing it with a bronco later this year!
yeah, I was hoping to see more of it in action. But they generally only keep their vehicles for a year or so.
Bronco looks like a minivan or flex .. really disappointed ..sae one of those yesterday 😭
Im also looking forward to seeing the real Bronco reviewed. I love my Jeep, but there is definitely room at the table for the new Bronco. Hope it's successful. I also wouldn't mind seeing Toyota bring back the FJ while also keeping the 4runner as a body on frame with maybe an updated transmission for better efficiency.
GM needs to do a proper Jimmy, to make up for the absolute shames they put the Blazer and Trailblazer nameplates on.
@@andresrivera2124 That's the Bronco Sport bro

I've had mine for a year and love it. I am jealous of your mileage though. I'm getting less than 13 MPG for some reason.
regear dude

And...on your point about the seats...I am a short girl and I love the seats!
Years ago, I couldn't drive a jeep bc I was too short to reach the peddles!
I finally got one and I am totally on love with her!
I'm 6'4 and I also think the seat doesn't slide back far enough for me, I feel like the dash and steering wheel are to close to my chest.
That reason alone keeps me from leasing one. Love the look but not the fit.
Stop lights are a pain to see when you are tall as well.
I have the gladiator and also 6'4". Towing with it is nice though.
I own a Gladiator and I'm 5"11 and do not have any issues with my front seating. Can't believe you didn't get the LED package for $55k?
Great job Tommy!
100% unbiased opinion. I had a 2016 colorado (failed transmission), and was in the market for a 2021 Ridgeline RTL (None available). Ended up with a 21 Gladiator Sport S max tow with 4.10 gears. I was very pleasantly surprised with how it rode. It's definitely no ridgeline, but it's not as bad as I was expecting. Its a great alternative to the other midsize trucks if you're wiling to make a few compromises.
Oh the 3.6 will go over 200k miles huh. What a shame. The engine it replaced would go over 500k miles. You will never change my mind about the Pentastar being an inferior engine to the old 4.0.
Forgot that 3.8 didn't ya? Lol
No doubt 4.0 far superior. In my 94 yj it destroys all my buddies with their 3.6s in everything from reliability, mpg, and off-road performance to drag racing. And it’s over 200k
@@joejohnson8159 Don’tthink it is offered anymore is it?
The 4.0 might have been somewhat reliable but it was far from perfect. No power, heavy and out-dated.
@@traviskimbrell1209I think folks often forget the weight. My old 92 4.0 weighed nearly as much as 2005 silverados engine with about half the power.

Great video! Cool truck, highly customizable. I like that !

At 5'7 It's the perfect size truck for me.
I actually road in one for the first time yesterday and if felt more cramped then my YJ. Dash was a little to much IMO. I’m 5’7
@@zachallard2737 ah okay, this is my first Jeep and my first truck. It definitely doesn't feel like my fathers Ram 1500 so I could see that it may feel crampt for some. This thing is beautiful, but about 15K too expensive for what it actually comes with. Engine options, lights, bed size etc.
LINE-X of Katy (TX) taps the rail system bolt holes by default. I added the Mopar Trail Rail System to my 2021 Jeep Gladiator, no issues, we'll with the exception of it coming with 12 bolts when it needs 14.
I have a 2022 Gladiator Rubicon in similar for to this one. I have a Go Rhino bed rack, Smittybuilt XL tent and awning, I also have the Decked drawer system.
The Decked system is a love/hate relationship. I love the added secure cargo space it brings, but hate the amount of space it takes up in the bed.
I have taken the doors and roof off of my truck, I use a cordless impact gun, makes the process a lot faster. I always bought my own tork sockets because they are better than the ones provided.
I have used mine for overlanding, light off-roading, and long road trips (Georgia to Montana and back). The seats are not the greatest, but my 07 Wrangler was worse. I do agree with everything else Tommy mentioned with the truck. There is nothing else like it out there, and you have a lot of aftermarket support to do just about anything you want to do.
I believe you forgot to mention the fact it has a terrible front window defrost heating system I would say that is a con you should have added to your list. Maybe you just forgot to mention it but figured id remind you since you and your dad did a video on how terrible the front window heat is and how ice accumulates on the window and wipers constantly in the winter.
Yes, he should have. I remember that video too,
Just a side note. On the JLWrangler forums, someone figured out an easy fix. There are some plastic plugs you can buy off Amazon for a few bucks. you plug them into every other vent along the center section of the dash. That forces more heat to the sides of the windshield and defrosts the whole thing properly.
I hate how people give the 3.6 crap. It's a solid powertrain and deserves credit for sticking around for 9 years straight.
Great video, Tommy! You are at home in your Jeep.
Amazing review. Here are couple of things I wish Jeep did.
1. Half doors from the factory like Ford Bronco, so when you remove the doors, you don't have those awkward doors.
2. The rear door of the Jeep wrangler and gladiator is too short. For bigger people like me, I am having a very difficult time getting in and out. Wish it was like 4 - 6 inches longer.
3. Paint the roof black and or cover it with the black fabric. Or at least have an option from the factory.
4. Offer V8 Hemi with Gladiator Mojave. That would be amazing.
5. Make roof fold into pieces so that you can store it away in the trunk. Specially with the gladiator.
Why do they not design the front seats for driver comfort. This has been a problem for years. We are all not 5 feet 8 inches tall. Design these vehicles for 6 feet 4 inch men and then move the seat forward if you need less leg room............ no brainer......... looks like the Bronco is going to destroy Jeep sales figures".......................................
That overheats if the temp outside is over 90 degrees and it sees a hill! The biggest reason I sold my jeep couldn’t even tow my 4 wheeler without over heating! I bought an F150 with the 3.5 ecoboost for the same price you can by a sport gladiator way more truck for the money not even close!
I think Mishimoto. Ales an oversized radiator for this. My 6.0L excursion needed one for heavy towing.
That's a great vehicle for sure. Very well equipped. I'm still wondering whatever became of that silver wrangler you guys lifted and put on 35's? Loved that jeep.
Great review, Tommy, thank you! Quick question: Did you install the lift because the 35" tires wouldn't fit properly with the Rubicon's stock ride height or was that just something you did to have a lift? After years of having done modifications to vehicles in which results were mixed, not necessarily resulting in improvements, looking cool, but causing compromises in ride and handling, I've decided that vehicle manufacturer sourced upgrades are typically the safest and best way to go. In any case, that lift looks great, to hear that it results in an improvement is even better!
