Oh I would have gone nuts at that fair. Great haul! And what a cool pub.
Cool selection. Yes, I think Black & White is my favourite Stranglers album. And, don't worry, that Richard/Linda Thompson album is great!
you got the bug.... (-:
Ten quid for searching for the young soul rebels.....bargain 👍👍👍
I recently found the free white vinyl 7"single that came with the Black & white album,in a charity shop....I still can't believe it !!!
I was so chuffed with the Dexys! Excellent 🙂
That Stranglers single is certainly worth more than what you paid for it, a great find - the 6 odd minute Walk on By cover is amazing.

Walk on by....gotta be one of my Stranglers faves 👍👍👍
Great vid and pick-up's, George. Goes to show there are excellent buys to be found at record fairs!
The guy with the house and hip-hop records was banished to the lobby along with his turntable by the other stallholders. 🤯
Thanks Richard and thanks again for the records.
Was he really, he was certainly 'banging' out the tunes when I was there! Can be an issue at all fairs, too many tunes playing at ones. Creates a wash of noise.
Hi George - and I was keeping an eye out for you at the London VIP fair ! Some good loot , I 'm a fan of And Then there were Three - some very proggy material on there and Phil Collins behind the kit is awesome especially on the opener Down and Out . Music at record fairs is an interesting topic in itself ! Best Graham
Thanks Graham, not sure when the next London fair will be now to be honest. Hope you picked up some good stuff yourself?
Looking forward to spinning Genesis again - I mentioned a great prog channel called Rael NYC, which is well worth checking out (see description of this vid). Take care 🙂
I was having a good chat with Richard, mentioned I just missed you, I will need to get there earlier next time! Belgian & Blues used to be the legendary ‘Goblets’ had some mental times there in the eighties/nineties. It’s funny y you mentioned the music, that bloke at the entrance who plays nosebleed drum & bass it’s Definately not winning any friends with the other stall holders 😂 I think it’s brilliant! I’m going to start offloading some of my stuff next month, taking it into one of the stall holders, I’m planning on drip feeding it. Getting up on that stage is a death trap!
Ah mate, missed you again. I was keeping my eyes peeled. Unfortunately ran out of time and funds, plus I kept wondering into the sweet spot of white noise between every stall holders speakers!!
That was a bit hairy getting up on stage wasn't it, may have even put people off a bit, there did not seem to be anyone else up there during my visit.
Hopefully will see you in a future visit later in the year 🙂
Hi, George. That we're some nice finds.
Thanks, was pleased with that haul 🙂
that R + L Thompson is great! I'd love to find some early sabbath on the vertigo swirl. cheers.
Well keep looking for the Sabbath. The thing is it's not actually that rare, just pricey.
I've heard nothing but good about the R+L and was glad to get it at a decent price. A nice addition.
Ah! I didn’t go this month.
Richard is a top bloke, he wasn’t selling when I went hopefully I will catch him next time.
Let me know if you decide to venture back to Southampton, maybe we can do a collab record finds video. ✌️
Hi Martin, sorry to have missed each other - nearly went last month instead, but changed at the last minute.
I've had some great stiff of Richard. Such a great thing to have that Dexys album with me in mind, was so chuffed.
I'd be well up for a collab or a meet in the near future, yes of course 🙂 (is there a way to contact directly? - I've looked at how to contact CZcamsrs, but have not worked it out. If you know, let me know!)
Hello. What did the ladybird bug buy ?. A Beatles record or should I spell it Beetles.
He he! Spiders from Mars maybe? The list goes on!
@@georgeprior-vinylshowtell4934 I like that. Ha !
Why is that Denys album not out in the wild a lot ? I recall that it sold by the truckload.
Hi Mark, I'm not sure really. It's not one I've seen much after looking for it for a while. The second album Too-Ry-Aye I see everywhere and all the time.
