  • Our 2nd Oil to Heat Pump Conversion!
    Stop depending on expensive fossil fuels like home heating oil and convert your HVAC system to a ultra energy efficient heat pump system. Modern technology not only provides comfort cooling and heating heat-round, it’s much cheaper to run than an oil system, quiet and cost effective for every installation.
    Completing the installation, we use the Rectorseal RSH-50 surge protection device. Available here: amzn.to/3yb0ACF

    Mike, for your/employee health you should consider getting a Commercial Air Scrubber & Negative Air Machine w/ HEPA Filter, when working in a attic that has insulation particles like cellulose, fiberglass, and mineral (rock or slag) wool. Most fiberglass products contain 40% to 60% recycled glass.

    If you break the vacuum to low pressure like around 10psi then shut valve it makes it easier to replace the schraeder valves and also loosen schraeder removal tool a bit will prevent the o-rings from getting chewed up
    Once valves are in finish opening valves

    • @xzibit8614
      @xzibit8614 Před 2 lety

      Your math is wrong. gas isn’t 100% efficient. And heat pumps have a COP of 3.5-4.0 depending on temp. Aka for every kW of electricity a heat pump moves 3.5-4.0kW of thermal energy.
      For example a resistive 1,500 watt space heater puts out 5,120 BTU. But an 18 EER heat pump will give you almost 27,000 BTU at 1,500 watts in optimal conditions.

    • @ADOENDRA
      @ADOENDRA Před 2 lety

      @@xzibit8614 Thanks,
      Interesting toppic !
      But my math is correct because I use the numbers based on the digital meter where I can see the yearly, weekly, daily, and even every hour use of Gas or electricity.
      With a simple software program, I convert these numbers I effective amount to pay.
      If the natural gas price in the US is more expensive than electricity, witch I guess it is, I fully agree with your calculations and the choice for a heatpump in the US.
      But here in Belgium the total cost ( all taxes in ) for electricity is 50% per Kwh u use and 50% transport and distribution costs. So electricity is already 5 times more expensive than gas.
      Even when the efficiency is 3,5 - 4 over 1. Here it would be more expensive not even taking into account the investment!
      Everything depends on the basic numbers.
      Last but not least. THANKS to Mike's channel last year I saved € 120 per year adding an exaust pipe valve on the gas heater.
      Not very common technique here in Europe. THANKS MIKE !!!! 💯
      Now I can spend those € 120 on Belgium beer :-) ( don't tell my wife ) :-)
      International, we learn a lot!

      If they are up north, I find it's more common to just put the safety on the secondary pan. Ever since I moved down south, I found drain line clogs are so much more common that the main pan switch is much more necessary.

      Our company does both but I’d rather just Clear a drain line than vacuum all water in an emergency pan in an attic and clear a drain line.
