- Our 2nd Oil to Heat Pump Conversion!
Stop depending on expensive fossil fuels like home heating oil and convert your HVAC system to a ultra energy efficient heat pump system. Modern technology not only provides comfort cooling and heating heat-round, it’s much cheaper to run than an oil system, quiet and cost effective for every installation.
Completing the installation, we use the Rectorseal RSH-50 surge protection device. Available here: amzn.to/3yb0ACF

bosch heat pump
DanielSon needs another raise now that he’s selling product too! 😂😂😂 He absolutely loves his job and that’s sooooo rare here in the USA. Excellent job by the entire team! As I said last week, go with the Mars disconnect box complete with built in surge protector
Yes even Peter Pan needs a pay rise too .Mike has to realize that nowadays you can’t find help or have someone show up to work be interested HVACR..A lot companies is looking for tradesman they can’t find anybody. Mike should have a voting on all subscribers on You tube for pay rise for both of them?
He does!
110 Microns. Now I know to get this setup when I go into the HVAC world! Thanks for showing us the tools Mike! LETS GO BOSCH!
It’s mostly bc of the new line set and coil and good brazing, ado that vacuum pump is superb
Ok thanks!
I'm sure Daniel was correct! Accutools is a merger of accurate and tools and should be AK-U-tools. Great install, as usual.
Love that Daniel tests capacitors under load!!!
Mike, for your/employee health you should consider getting a Commercial Air Scrubber & Negative Air Machine w/ HEPA Filter, when working in a attic that has insulation particles like cellulose, fiberglass, and mineral (rock or slag) wool. Most fiberglass products contain 40% to 60% recycled glass.
For jobs like this I use the supco attic winch. Quick and easy come along lift with rafter mounts.
If you break the vacuum to low pressure like around 10psi then shut valve it makes it easier to replace the schraeder valves and also loosen schraeder removal tool a bit will prevent the o-rings from getting chewed up
Once valves are in finish opening valves
Yup 👍
Oh man I was so hoping you would at least pull a panel off that Fedders and give us a peek in there,, I love vintage equipment like that...
@@PipeDoctor Lol,,, yes,, yes I do...
man i wish i could work under you! i have been doing refrigeration for 7 years 6 of those working strictly with ammonia and the last year with other refrigerants. you guys do a great job! keep up the hard work!
If you get a small 1 through 1.5 inch puddy knife for the corners of the boxes they go together much easier just use the puddy knife to spread the lip of the metal a little before you put the cap on.
Such notification,many playfulness,so wonderful
This is my 2nd Viewing and will not Guess on bet For BOSCH swag. You guys did a Great job
That Fedders unit is ancient! Damn. Weird unit
I replaced one of those big package units once in a house about as old as that, I remember we had a big ass hole.
Tuesday was a bad day for an attic job.
very nice install.
That attic definitely needs a deck built but I get it. Money!
@@PipeDoctor excellent job!
#lovedanielson He’s a great find. A lot of HVAC contractors would love to have a guy like him! Hard worker and willing to take constructive criticism.
Love that Bosch unit. To bad they don't make an IDS without the heat pump for those with NG and a high efficiency boiler.
Great install
I know but your paying a pretty good premium for the heat pump function that you my never use. Still love the low amp draw which converts into low wattage used.
@@PipeDoctor Can the Bosch IDS 2 be connected to a traditional furnace as opposed to an air handler? IT seems Trane and Carrier and units like the Dakin Fit have efficient heat pumps that can also work with a furnace
@@PipeDoctor Thanks The Carrier furnaces also seem to do well handling humidity
Beautiful install
#letsgobosch Great installl! I love the tool usage and description. Let’s go Pipe Doctors!
Actually, the insulation you chose for the duct wrap, it needs an air gap between the metal and the first layer of wrap.
R.E. Michael has R8 bubble wrap that only needs the air gap, not the double layer.
Hey I was going to say 260psi and I like Cushion for the pushing
260 microns maybe
Well done Saint Mike.
@@PipeDoctor They are sheep, you their Sheppard. You direct.
One day they will have sheep as they will be the shepherds with wisdom you gave to them from their learning time here..
Great Installation!!!!!
Thank you for inspiring me to better ❤️😍😍
You have the best ideas
Love Bosch
I do hope you powered that air handler with tied breaker toggles.
Hey Mikey nice work, nice teamwork.question does that Bosch have an internal float switch in the pan , I did not see one installed on the PVC drain line
Bosch IDS Installation Instructions - Page 14 - "The Suction Service Valve must be opened BEFORE opening the Liquid Service Valve"
💟This blew my mind💟
Yes 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 love it 😍
Triple Evac!!!
One of Thee Best!
waiting on next post📍
The money they saved on not painting the walls over the years sure helped buy the Bosch. 🤣
@@PipeDoctor I was. Didn’t even go there about attic. 🤮
You will be doing a ton of conversions away from heating oil all summer long. I believe Number two is it six bucks a gallon it’s probably seven now.
how come you don't have an equipment and service platform? None of this would fly in California holy crap
Sexy sexy sexy.....That airhandler install is a million percent improvement....amazing work guys
that ol carrier still looks good inspite of their age
A famous plumber from Ma would say, a,Goodman would be good enough for that neighborhood.
Ayy Mike, what size is that nitrogen bottle? I carry 2 80 cu ft bottles on my truck but that one you got is much bigger than my 80s. 125 maybe?
Great content as always btw.
Let’s go Bosch
By the way excellent job
Way back in the day I learn how to make sheet metal I started back in 2004
#love Bosch
FIJI water is the water of Bosch
Mike, I love your videos, and watch them all. I noticed in your video all the dust, and fiberglass dust floating in the attic and also covering your shirt. You might want to consider a dust mask to extend your life. That crap every day can't be too good for you or your men.
Mike
Did you do a static test
Your Are so Sweet , Thanks a lot
Did that attic exhaust fan not work?
Have you had to replace the control board in outdoor unit? We have been waiting 10 days. Was told supply chain issues.
Am I going to have problems with my nest t-stats. I've been reading conflicting stories some say absolutely 0 issues. Others say they won't work correctly.. What do you think?
What thermostat does one install with these units? Great job overall fellas! Hey Daniel? what's up with the flavor saver?
I’ve used SENSI and the Bosch Wi-Fi smart thermostat.
Hey Mikey. I see the in description the LGB T-shirt. How do I go about purchasing one?
Ductboard runouts looks like to me #garbage Those Ductboard supplys looked jacked up. No need to wrap it twice use the spacers provided! Makes it R-6 to R-8 Rheem is still good if it’s done properly and has a good vacuum pulled on it, pretty much any system is good if a good vacuum is pulled on it, mind you the ductwork is sized correctly and all other variables are okay. New line set, new coils that shit should pull down quickly! 250 microns is my guess #lovebosch I’ve been trying to get my company to switch to Bosch but they’re saying they already sell multiple brands, any thoughts and feedback?
How do you like to set the dip-switches on the bosch systems? Keep them at default?
25:58 Didn‘t Plasky tell you to do a double evac… 😅
The aux. drain pan looks too small. Does the evaporator fan over amp with the cover off?
Let's go bosch
Odd you ran 5 wire, when 8 wire has spares, and more control options for modes.
I’d turn on the wall attic fan'
Hello from the great state of Michigan. St Mike do you know witch one of the two Freons Bosch will be using after the he first of the year?
You mean in 2025?
Did I hear you say you use stay brite 8 for your installs?
Wait… what’s the WR thermostat connected to?
What app do you use to manage clients, schedule jobs etc
Still have 2XL LG Bosch tees available?
Great
Hi this is the same sistem they call forced air?
I'll come work for you Mikey
Astounding.... with Love
love 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
At one point the IDS 1.0 was cheaper than Goodman 16seer
The DC I work at deals mostly Rheem but we have Bosch units and sadly when we got into the WV market we got into South Korean crap. Idk why they like it down there but We service all of Ohio, most of Michigan, Eastern Indiana, Western Pa, Northern WV. Bosch comes in these nice little crates which is nice haha
Attractive☺️
Aww🙏 💕💓 so Cute
#letsgobosch. To bad RE Michael sells out and can’t keep them in stock
#LoveBosh
"Screaming like a little fairy" LMAO
What brand and model headlight do you use?
Not in the HVAC business, but love the videos.
Thank you
Do you have benefits in the states switching from gas to electricity?
We pay 5x more for electricity than for natural gas.
€ 0,04 Kwh for gas and € 0,20 Kwh for electricity.
Depends if they are offering a rebate.
Your math is wrong. gas isn’t 100% efficient. And heat pumps have a COP of 3.5-4.0 depending on temp. Aka for every kW of electricity a heat pump moves 3.5-4.0kW of thermal energy.
For example a resistive 1,500 watt space heater puts out 5,120 BTU. But an 18 EER heat pump will give you almost 27,000 BTU at 1,500 watts in optimal conditions.
@@xzibit8614 Thanks,
Interesting toppic !
But my math is correct because I use the numbers based on the digital meter where I can see the yearly, weekly, daily, and even every hour use of Gas or electricity.
With a simple software program, I convert these numbers I effective amount to pay.
If the natural gas price in the US is more expensive than electricity, witch I guess it is, I fully agree with your calculations and the choice for a heatpump in the US.
But here in Belgium the total cost ( all taxes in ) for electricity is 50% per Kwh u use and 50% transport and distribution costs. So electricity is already 5 times more expensive than gas.
Even when the efficiency is 3,5 - 4 over 1. Here it would be more expensive not even taking into account the investment!
Everything depends on the basic numbers.
Last but not least. THANKS to Mike's channel last year I saved € 120 per year adding an exaust pipe valve on the gas heater.
Not very common technique here in Europe. THANKS MIKE !!!! 💯
Now I can spend those € 120 on Belgium beer :-) ( don't tell my wife ) :-)
International, we learn a lot!
Qué hermosa😍❣️💗💜
Sweet :) , it is Such a pretty video
☺️tiny#1💝
This is Nice, brother
Man didn’t know fat joe did refrigeration, those reems do the rock away lean back lean back ! 😂
What’s the ball park of that Job?
Also what was difference in price vs the rheem/carrier?
Nice work!
If they were struggling with money then they probably didn’t need a Bosch
Jim would lose it if he heard acko tools
You can do the same with 3/8 hoses and save yourself some money.
@@PipeDoctor a hose is a hose no matter who makes it. They are all made by the same standards. Dropping 700 on a kit, when 3/8 will do the same thing is insane period.
@@PipeDoctor I personally think that over kill for residential, commercial/ Industrial ok. Also thanks for not being that saying get this on dumb shit. Example: their was a guy on youtube that basically got sent a long 13 inch service wrench to take out the two 1/4 inch screws that holds in a blower motor. He is fumbling around with it, then tells everyone to buy it. When it take 10 seconds with an actual 1/4 inch nut driver. That set me off . Please don't be that guy.

You don’t like condensate float switches?
If they are up north, I find it's more common to just put the safety on the secondary pan. Ever since I moved down south, I found drain line clogs are so much more common that the main pan switch is much more necessary.
Our company does both but I’d rather just Clear a drain line than vacuum all water in an emergency pan in an attic and clear a drain line.
@@Rainmaker88 I'm with you haha
