In vase anybody’s interested in the truth about a lot of what was said in the interview here are a few things to think about. Firstly, it’s duplicitous for Meghan to suggest Archie didn’t get to be a Prince because of his skin colour. He isn’t a prince because he doesn’t qualify under the rules set out in 1917 by George V, principally to limit the size of the Monarchy, but also to stop all sorts of minor German nobles turning up in Britain after the First World War claiming to be princes of the British monarchy because they were distantly related to George V who was a Saxe Coburg Gotha by birth. Only the children and male-line grandchildren of the reigning monarch, plus the eldest son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales (typically the heir apparent), would be called princes and princesses. Archie is the Queens Great Grandson meaning he is one generation away from automatically being a Prince. All the time the Queen is alive, he will not be entitled to the title of prince. When she dies and Charles becomes King, he would likely be entitled to be a Prince. Of course, Harry knows all this because he has lived it all his life. He has always known that while his grandmother is alive his offspring can never be Princes or Princesses. All the more strange his wife would believe otherwise.
Second, she says her and Harry actually married three days previous to the actual ceremony. This cannot have happened in the way she describes, you cannot legally marry the same person twice and you cannot marry in secret. The wedding location has to be accessible to the public and you have to have two witnesses. Whatever she’s talking about it was not a marriage.
Thirdly, Harry said something along the lines of, we had to go with the Netflix deal because my Father cut me off financially. Well, it was their decision to be financially independent in the first place and he’s hardly scratching around for Archie’s next meal. His mother left him £30 million when she died. And as they are no longer working royals, why should the U.K. taxpayer pay for them.
Fourthly, I don’t believe for one minute anyone in the Royal Family said ‘we’re concerned about how dark Archie’s skin will be when he’s born’. More likely would be someone wondering out loud about whose genes will come to the fore when Archie is born. Something that all mixed marriage couples must think about. But if you’re determined to be outraged, then you can find fault in anything.
With all these misrepresentations, why should we believe anything else in the interview.

At the same time she had to make it so that all of Kate and Williams children would be prince/princess because otherwise as the law stood only the eldest son would have been entitled to the title. This could have led to the situation where if their first born was a girl she would be a future queen but would not be entitled to the title of princess. As it happened the first born was George but they could obviously not have known that in advance. Young archie will be entitled to the title of prince when Charles is king and he is then the grandson of the king

For me, Meghan's claim is very questionable because she lied a couple of times in that interview. For example her saying she was not able to leave the palace for 4 months ( might have been 2) because she wasn't allowed but people can literally go online and search out monthly photos of her being out and about during her entire pregnancy. She even went to New york for a very lavish baby shower. That's only one of the lies she told which makes all her claims in that interview questionable.

I'm not saying there wasn't racism involved in other areas, but Megans claim that Archie was not made prince because of racism is just false, which does cause you to question her other claims. Archie isn't prince as great-grand-children of the monarch aren't entitled to be princes/princesses except for the eldest son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales - which is why Williams children were given this title only. The queen has 9 great-grandchildren and only Williams have this title. When Charles becomes King Archie would be made a prince. Is it outdated? Probably, but thats the way things are.
Actually she also said that they were changing that convention even when Charles becomes King. She asked why and claims she didn't get an answer. A lot of people misheard this part and so did I lol. So she blamed it on race. The UK has known for years now even before Harry wed Meghan that Charles wanted to slim down the monarchy bc of complaints, costs, and taxpayers. For example, none of Williams cousins except for Eugenia and Beatrice have titles or security which is funded by taxpayers. In fact, it was in 2011, E & B got their security taken away bc they weren't working royals. They just don't want the entire family anymore and want duties only for the heirs to throne. Harry knows this too. They are not entitled to security, especially them not being heirs. It doesn't matter how famous they are.

No security is absolutely ridiculous. But she was mostly talking about if Charles became king. That even then Archie would not get HRH title, even though that IS convention. That they took Harry’s security away is even more ridiculous. He didn’t ask to be born into that family. Yet just by who his parents are he is at risk. The least they can do is provide protection. Especially if there is so much controversy.
