  • Rapper Killer Mike is receiving much backlash for an interview he did with the National Rifle Association that raised questions.
    “It ran a week ago and then someone at NRA got cute and dropped it on top of you know the biggest youth led march our nation has probably ever had. I’m sorry that happened. I don’t have any control over that,” explained Killer Mike.
    He’s in favor of having access to guns and especially encourages Black families to keep 5 types of guns in their house in case of tyranny.

    Did anyone actually see the NRA TV interview with Killer Mike? Because I know I did, and everything he was saying was actually on point. I don't understand why he's going on a apology tour when everything he was saying was true. This is why I say people got to get out of this oh I'm a liberal or oh I'm a conservative mentality. Because rationale goes out the window, this is very disappointing seeing him now Backtrack on his statements.

      There's no free thinking allowed, he had to backtrack or lose $$$ and "street cred". In the NRATV video, he specifically said he doesn't want his kids walking out of school because they're a gun-owning family, then he says in this interview that it's about his son's bad grades in math. LOL.

      @AlexTechie, I got no respect for that!! I think a couple of big wig liberals got in his ear and told him to, "apologize the NRA is our enemy" and like a little bitch he backed down and did it. One thing I respect about Trump and conservatives in general is most of the time they are very unapologetic.

      mike askme your argument doesn't make any sense. Studies show when more people have guns crimes or at least likely to happen. I grew up in a small town where mostly everybody carried a gun and sometimes it will be a few years before you hear about any crime happening in that town on the news. You will be less likely to rob a store if you know everybody in that store is packing heat. Just imagine you walk you're a Bozo the Clown looking ass inside of a convenience store and pull out your gun, and though guy behind the register pull his gun out and pointed at you the little old lady that's waiting behind you pull out her 357 and the guy that's mopping the floors he pull out something. Now you as a robber what do you think you going to do? You going to turn into Superman and Dodge the bullets or you going to surrender right then and there or try to run away..... there are even some videos on CZcams where are robber broke into a Texas home and everybody in that home shot the Excel it and ever since then no one ever broke into that neighborhood and that happened a few years back

    • @mikeaskme3530
      @mikeaskme3530 Před 6 lety

      actually you are wrong and you really dont understand the studies, and if you could prove your argument you would show these studies, and more than one with opposing views and let the data speak for themselves. but even subjective studies show that the more society is awash in guns shows more crime and more deaths by guns.

      law abiding citizens are allowed to have guns so i dont understand all the pushback, the ones doing all the killings with guns are the criminals so why should non criminals suffer for that. The blacks that call the government racist but at the same time want to give up their guns so that the same government can protect them because the government will not be giving up their fire power so lets get real about that. I refuse to vote democrat because of things like i just mentioned no thought goes into anything just emotional reactions.

    I lost a little respect for K. Mike. He allowed people on the left to make him back peddle on his word. What he did in this interview is what politicians, Democrat and Republican, do when they do not want to answer a question. They will not give you a direct answer. Instead they force feed you a bunch of secondary information that has nothing to do with the primary answer. I hope that each and everyone of you do watch the full interview Mike did with Colin N. Killer Mike used “over speak” in this interview. He knows he made a mistake and allowed the NRA to use him as a dupe. Now he has to appeal to his fan base to make sure his money continues to roll in. He made a mistake but I do not believe he is a fool. The NRA loved it because they think rappers, black rappers in particular, are stupid. Don’t let the man play you. Think long and hard about what you say and who you say it to.

      Well he certainly didn't do or say anything to dispel that stereotype! Big man played himself going on NRAtv to have that discussion.

    He's backtracking a little. You can't say you didn't know NRA tv would use you. It was like when Steve Harvey went to see Trump after the election and was used for a photo opt. He did not say in the interview that he told his child to stay in school because they were flunking, he said he didn't want them aligning with others and his family was pro gun. I agree with us learning to be self sustaining, but going on NRA T.V is not cool. He should have asked NRA about Philandio Castille!

    Every Black American need to get a gun permit, all policemen need to be required to get insurance just like every other occupation. The insurance will get tire of the payout and maybe things will change. No way should blacks be afraid of guns, we should stay at the range

    What I don't get is that his initial comment in the interview was actually about black people experiencing things like this more often than these sheltered white kids in their school and yet the news doesn't even turn their head for when it happens to their kids; but for much so make it weeks of coverage when sheltered white kids experience this. And so as a result he told his kids not to be part of the school walk out because it wasn't for the seemingly reoccurring issue in black communities but that isn't even part of the "support" behind the walk out. Anyway, I am sure he is required to have a soft stance on the NRA and guns due to who and what companies he associates with. But I truly believe his interview with Colion Noir was his true view and on point, and it saddens me that he believes he needs to "scale back" in any way shape or form from what he said in the interview.
    While I disagree with "killer" mike's political view points, he talks as if it is him/black people against the world. It is as if he assumes all other races are against him as a black man, which is a form of prejudice racism; I understand the justification as to why he speaks and behaves that way. However, I do not believe assumed/prejudice racism will ever cure, what I believe to be, the true goal which is to end racism all together.
    Regardless, I do agree with him 100% on one thing. That last statement on the 5 types of guns every American household should have.
