Was curious as to how many where here keeping an eye on Sargent. For my money, he has to be on the final roster barring any severe drop-off. He just looks different. Confidence maybe, thought he seemed like he was almost trying too hard with the USMNT, like he was pressing. That's my YT comment section analysis anyway

I love the strength from Sargent to hold off the defender, then lay it off for Dowell to score. He seems to have bulked-up a little this season.

Coventry are bottom partly because they haven't been able to play games on their pitch. However, they were poor yesterday.
Not too hard to be louder than us atm. I've never heard CR so quiet even when we're on a winning streak.
We are clicking in an attacking sense but we still seem so rocky at the back 😪

As much as the Sergeant did not want to score himself, he nevertheless gave it to his partner when they scored the third. This is a very big plus in the karma of the American striker.

Liked how cantwell had a good game. Nunez is just a bundle of energy who will be the one who gets us the goals from outside the area. Onel is a force when confident. Could of had a hatrick when he came on! Sargent is much stronger than he looks and is playing well. Otbc

Strange starting line-up by the Coventry manager. Obviously was planning on playing for a 0-0 draw. Whenever he does that, we inevitably lose. Clean sheets are as rare as hen's teeth for us, especially since we just sold our best defender.

I’m glad they didn’t show much of us in the second half. For about 30 minutes we were dreadful, slow, uninterested. Almost as if smith said at half time that the game was over and just to go out and shut up shop. Never the less… 3 goals, 3 points. Otbc

Had to be on the first action right? The header attempt against Krul.
Maybe because he affected the play. Maybe because his position prevented the goalkeeper from going in that direction.
@@jdbriscoe6658 Exactly. His mere presence affects the goalkeeper's decision making (regardless of how good the shot was). He therefore was active in an offside position. The delay in flagging was just because the lino ('was he interfering?') & ref ('was he offside?') were discussing the play before coming to the obvious conclusion and correct decision.

OK, now to keep things in perspective - Coventry are a terrible team, rooted in dead last place with only one point, and losing all but their first match. They played like a dead last team in this match. Consider that the 32 y.o. Pukki was outracing their defenders for the ball and nutmegging them...
