I love Rowe so much - what a player and how much we've missed him
Thing is, he hadn't really done much in that game but he has a brilliant knack of popping up with goals this season. What a lad! Love him and the team.
How long will it be before he is sold ? Hopefully now Webber has gone we will be able to keep him !
14 YEARS, 14 YEARS, NORWICH CITY
We just needed a draw to feel like winners while Ipswich on the other hand needed a win. When a draw happens it shouldn’t feel like a win or loss, but keeping that ongoing streak alive was our main goal and we kept it, giving us that winning mentality. You know a team feels strongly defeated when they complain about every aspect of the game “That’s clearly offside”, “Ref was the 12th man”, “Clear foul”. Or end up throwing out ironic stats about being at the top of the table (yet losing to a currently out of form team) And I have seen none of that from us. Clearly we are satisfied… Cannot say the same for Ipswich though as that is all I have heard today from them. We went into this game simply just not wanting to lose, while they went in with an expectation to demolish us. I guess the moral of the story here is: Don’t set your standards too high. Ipswich are unable to chip away our green and yellow paint across East Anglia!💛💚💛💚
Also Onel on the sidelines at 6:16 had me grinning ear to ear. You know this game meant lots to him.
I feel the tables have turnen we used to be sad at a draw and we wanted to Win but now its about not losing and we arent going up and down anymore but i think ipswich will go up and down. Im sad i couldent watch the game bc im in germany none the less im happy we dident lose
I think most itfc fans expected a closer game than many thought, myself included, for it to be so one sided but not get the win defo is frustrating, good that Leeds dropped points though, ncfc very reliant on a couple of individual players I expect them to finish about where they are
Good post. The only thing I disagree there with is the bad form comment. As we went into this game fourth, I think, in the form table 👍

Great atmosphere at the game, great to continue the record, everyone played there part in the match, well done norwich, very proud otbc!
OK, not the relatively dominant display of early season, but save for a few mistakes, a gutsy performance and a team who clearly went there to try to win.
Get the squad up to full health, lose the silly mistakes and fight like that every game, and our best could be just around the corner 🤞

I can’t believe we didn’t lose. They were so much better than us. Rowe is a Norwich hero now. If it wasn’t for Barnes’ little mistake, we may have won it. But fair result in the end.

He’s come in for a lot of stick but Shane Duffy was a monster at back! Stepped up when it counted!
Was going to say the same. He started the season pretty impressively but has had a torrid few weeks and been poor, mistakes every game almost… but credit when it’s due he was absolutely immense here. Needs to maintain that standard. They all do. Can’t only get up for the derby.
@@spamfremail tbf, in his rut of bad form he had the equivalent of a long stick as his goalkeeper, and even then, he done a lot of good things to equal out the bad, he's been a decent signing for us
@@joedurrant9036 yeh I think he has been a decent signing too! I just think we way we set up with no DMs means his lack of pace has been an issue, which isn’t necessarily all his fault when it comes to the mistakes! It’s a big shame we sold big A, barely makes the bench for forest. And I think his mobility next to Duffy, could have been a decent combo this season. Definitely think he’s looked better having McLean next to him who again has that bit more pace and takes the stress of playing out from the back off him a little! The derby showed why you need a player like Duffy, backs against the wall he’s throwing himself in front of everything!
@@spamfremail yeh totally agree mate, actually think having Kenny along side him is helping a bit with the leg work and playing out! Hopefully the lads can build off this and with Sarg coming back hopefully start putting some more convincing performances together

Both goals we conceded are annoying. 2nd one obviously with Barnes giving the ball away so cheaply, but the 1st annoys me more. Really poor marking from Idah who saw Broadhead and let him go. That goal also doesn't happen if Nuñez takes a yellow card and trips Chaplin at half way. The players need to be more nasty, we're too passive in midfield
this commentator is incredible because i thought their job was to idly speculate about the managers & their current employment opportunities ,player transfer rumours , obsessive observation as to what system was being played & the managers’ tactical nous then maybe comment concerning league positions of the top sides after last night’s game - rather than describing who or what the actual players were doing as it happens . Hopefully his style catches on .

First 6 games (13 points) and last 7 games (14 points) was automatic promotion form. The middle 9 games (4 points) was relegation form. In those 9 games we missed our top two strikers, our number 1 keeper, our top two centre backs and Borja Sainz. The manager has clearly struggled but his resources were severely depleted. The 2nd half of the season could be a different story. No chance of catching the top two but a playoff place is a realistic goal.

They clearly have a better team ethic and are functioning on a higher level than us, but at the same time they don't have a player of Rowe's standard and that's exactly how it played out (even though he was offside while laying down for the first).

Now we have Borja Sainz, who is looking good, excited for when Sarge is back chasing down the keepers. I can't work out if the problems at the back are due to Hanley being out or not. But we're almost at full strength again. I have high hopes for the 2nd half of the season

As an Ipswich fan , most thought Norwich would probably get something, credit to them they did just that , the region needs both teams to do well

2-2 not a bad result considering the season we are having , i feel Barnes had a bad game cost us there second goal also our defence still sloppy man to man marking terrible again Ipswich player left unmarked to score there first goal ! Mclean did ok but not his fault playing out of position same as Rowe but 2 good goals from him !

Why was the first Ipswich goal not offside ? I have heard Ipswich fans crying about Rowes goal . But their first is more obvious, watch the number 6.
Both cancel each other out, can’t complain with how the ref let the game go, barnes may have been considered offside also if VAR was here for ncfc second goal. ITFC didn’t win because they wasted their chances, utterly dominated display otherwise

Broadhead looked their best player and even he's not that good
ITFC are well coached the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, ncfc however are very reliant on 2 players and possibly Sargent.
@@georgewade4656 Sure I did think they knocked it about well and did create chances. Perhaps in other games those go in. But the same thing could be said about us in derby games. I just think their fans have such short memories. While I don't hold any hatred for Ipswich supporters I do read certain things online and think the level of disrespect, douchebaggery and plain arrogance is unnecessary. So that makes me, as a Norwich fan, very much enjoy the fact that they still can't seem to beat us. It might even be psychological now and I can't blame them. Anyway it was a good game. In this one, we were just arguably more clinical when our chances came. Good on both teams

Mcallum went missing most of the game.
He improved hugely in the second half, getting in some early challenges.
I thought he played well, first to the ball majority of the time.
I saw him casually jogging back when he was out of position and the opposition were marauding down his empty wing too many times.
