Phil Easton narrating - his Rock Express show was obligatory listening for me in the late 70's - he also hosted the New Year's Eve Rock Night at Southport's Floral Hall - sad that he died relatively young, in his 50's I think - great days - can still hear Wally being shouted out before the gig!!

£4 for a ticket for the concert! That’s what I paid in Manchester for the second show on the 19th of April 1980 on this tour. I travelled over from Ireland for the gig and it cost £50 in total for concert ticket at the Apollo Theatre, ferry from Ireland to Holyhead, coach transfers to and from Manchester and to and from the gig and one night accommodation in a run down hotel in a place called Whalley Range. What a great experience for a back in 1980! I won’t tell you what price I paid for the tickets on the last Genesis tour, the final tour, the one that was disrupted by the Covid pandemic, with both concerts in Dublin finally being cancelled altogether…
