  • The Ducky keyboards are known as being some of the best but now the Ducky Feather gaming mouse has them branching into the lightweight gaming mouse market. After the Ducky Secret and Secret M, they have a lot to prove but with Huano 50M switches and a weight of just 65g, the Ducky Feather Blue Edition could be interesting. But how about the Ducky Feather vs Glorious Model O and MM711?

    CORRECTION: woops, i totally made a mistake for the Model D- weight at 1:35 ... The D (minus) is around 61g while the original Model D is 68g. Total noob moment there with the edit.

      There's another issue! the main switches on this mouse all have it listed as Omron 50m switches online (and there's even pictures floating around of the innards confirming it), and only the encoder (scroll wheel) being huano. was this changed prior to production?

      @@olekristian3641 Yep this literally makes the mouse garbage since there are so many other mice in this price range. Complete oversight for ducky to have terrible options like 200 but not have 1000, 1200, etc. Not to mention it's not so easy to change on the fly, epic fail.
      I'd much rather get a mouse that has actual custom DPI adjustment or superior ranges/preset options. I use 1200 as well so switching to 1600 is complete ass and switching to 800 is bad too.
      I don't see much of a reason to buy this.

    I will definitely buy this mouse. Before Ducky posted the first pictures of it I was thinking about buying the XM1 or CM MM710, but after seeing the specs of this mouse and the fact that even the RGB can be configured without any need to install some software, I have no other option than waiting for it to be available. The RGB of this mouse also perfectly fits my Ducky Mecha Mini.

  • @DoctorrMetal
    @DoctorrMetal Před 3 lety +3

    Just a note on DPI settings: No gaming mouse is native 1000 dpi. It's only available through software. All sensors are always 2-400/800/1600/3200 etc. 800 dpi is the standard for office use.

    yeah the 'new' competitive mice tend to have the cable stress relief angled up and it just makes so much more sense... One of my favorite mice (old model) the DM1 FPS actually is the only one angled slightly *down* and I've just had to mold it myself to get rid of excess cable drag. Kind of strange it's taken so long to catch on that we don't really want our cables snagging on pads or desks.

      How on earth did this become your top contender, for what reason? This is almost objectively worse then other options. It doesn't even have driver's which means no good DPI adjustments, terrible for gaming

    Can't you use the four side buttons? It would be interesting in games like Fortnite, Valorant, mmo's among others.

    i really like that ducky's stuff doesn't have any software drivers.
    The programs for these gaming peripherals are really poorly made and almost always exclusive to windows.
    Also the fact that many of them run at all times on your pc and gather telemetry for the company without an opt-out, turning them into basically spyware.
    Im a linux user, and before ducky stuff i had to put insulating tape on mice to "turn off" the rgb haha. :)

    +1 just for Demitry hosting the video! But seriously as for gaming mice, there really is no point in going for tethered any more. With the logitech lighting speed or whatever they are called and the other brands of that type wireless that are as fast as tethered, why bother with the hansel and ware and tare and the wire?
