Ducky Feather RGB Mouse Review (68g modern FK2 alternative)

- This is Ducky's third attempt at a mouse but it looks like they've been making high quality, high end gaming mice for years. And they've chosen the Zowie FK2 shell, so it's one of the best shapes around still too.
The button latency was a bit higher in the bump test than expected, most likely because the Blue Huano switches were a bit harder to press in than the ones on the Logitech G903. I think it's about 4ms debounce time anyway, nothing too bad and you see how many rails I hit in the highlights. Latency is fine.
Would've ranked it higher if it was lower weight. High quality mouse, definitely worth a look!

3:16 Finally. Thank you for mentioning that problem. I think the problem itself is not about the side buttons being too big, they are simply positioned so low to the point that some people, myself included, find themselves accidentally clicking them mid gunfights. This is literally the one and only reason why I returned mice like the model O minus, and why I'm still using the G303. (Both are small ambidextrous mice).
By using a fingertip grip, try to lay your thumb on the mouse without your thumb touching the mousepad or the side buttons. Yep, It's pretty much impossible on the majority of small lightweight ambidextrous mice.

I love it, the ultralight trend is making leftie buttons rare so I had to cop this. Loving it after a week of use, it was between this and the Viper Mini. The Huano clicks are really doing it for me
2 month update, still loving the Feather. Had to put some grips on the sides and also removed the left side buttons. Best mouse now.

Is the scroll button on these easy to press? I noticed a lot of these gaming mice have a very stiff scroll button. Granted most fps players don't press it, but I play a mix of fps, mmo, rpg, etc. So I utilize the middle scroll button.

I use my mouse on my left so this is one of few options that have side buttons on the right. Previously used the Zowie AM and currently the 83g Zowie ZA12 which these days amongst the ultralight mice is on the heavy side.
Unfortunately Zowie have been slacking and now have to look elsewhere to find a proper lightweight ambidextrous mouse. Just waiting for this to be in stock.
But does anyone know if you are able to use all 4 side buttons or can you only use one side?
Yea I'm in the same position, currently have an fk2 but I don't know what I can get if it dies or I want something lighter. I would also like to use all 4 side buttons, but zowie disables one side always.
This is definitely the go-to channel when it comes to mice.

Can you recommend me a small lightweight mouse with an easy to press scroll button? I used about 6 different gaming mice and all of their scroll button is too stiff to be pressed. The only mouse I used that had an easy to press scroll button was the Mionix Naos qg, but it's too big and bulky.

18 by 9 hands and I've been claw gripping an Ultralight 2 for 10 months. I'm thinking about trying out an XM1 bc I feel like something a bit bigger, but with the same small grip width, and button height , along with having a shape that could possibly be a lot better could maybe make a big difference in the comfort and accuracy of my aim. What do you think?

I’m pretty sure Zy has the same sized hands and uses the same mouse as his main, just with a different grip. And that’s someone who owns like 1,000 mice

Being a lefty I am really interested in this mouse. I however need a mouse with 4 side buttons. Does the Ducky Feather allow use of all 4 side buttons or is it like Zowie and only one side can be used/active at a time?

RJN What is your default mouse when gaming?
Features wise seems pretty good, aesthetics wise idk. At the weight of 68 grams I'd almost expect to just see a full shell with no holes at all, not sure if the right grip would be high enough for me.
Definitely more worth than the Zowie FK2 at the moment though.
I want zy's take on the ZA-B refresh lineup build quality, and buttons stiffness improvements

Mm720 is not fingertip mouse from what i know.

Quake Champions is on Steam, as is Quake Live. The 'pretty' one he shows in Quake Champions, and it has the highest playerbase. Go check it out :) The bot modes are great for learning; I play Bot TDM when i want to keep my aim sharp :)

Hi zy, i have a 11.5 by 9.7 hand and i was thinking on a new mouse for around 50euros. In my country the choice is between rival 3 and viper mini. I'm more attracted by viper mini, but I'm scared of hand cramps... Do you think i can adapt to a small mouse like it? If yes, do you know any useful method?

yes, you wont really get hand cramps to be honest if you stretch your fingers. the viper mini is good choice

I don’t like how the viper side buttons are flat. I use the right side buttons for push to talk and other I. Game bins and with them being flat it’s hard to use my ring finger to hold the push to talk button I have bond. I like my G pro wireless but I have issues with the right mouse click deactivating while holding. So in FPS games that have hold to ads I’ll be holding it but sometimes it will just act as I left off the button when I didn’t :(
Hello, great video! I take my mouse in palm grip, I see that with your measurements I'm a little tall for the palm with this mouse, it is better to go on a deathadder? my hand size is 20/10.

Probably would suit palm better, but I'd recommend you the glorious model D instead if you're looking for a lighter alternative :)

I use G502 Wireless for editing now, more comfortable shape than G903. Basically just want that infinite scroll wheel. Makes it much faster and easier.
