Hi. If I could suggest watch the channel Rakum Projects. The guy covers a lot of old surplus rifles and shooting these. Also Readiness Reviews is another favorite of mine and honset reviews of surplus firearm.
@@behindenemylines3361 it’s pretty common with certain RTI rifles, my 1870/87 has a missing rear sight. These rifles spent a lot of time in Ethiopia being used by their military, and for some reason a lot of the soldiers didn’t like rear sights and removed them. I have absolutely no idea why they didn’t like them but the vast majority of former Ethiopian Military owned rifles from RTI seem to be missing their rear sites. In some cases, they offer a $50/$100 hand select option for getting a rifle that actually does have a rear sight.
@@AaronEwell-p8x i’ve been thinking about finding one for these rifles for a while. RTI has Vetterli bayonets listed, but in the description of them, it says they couldn’t find a rifle that was perfect match.

I have bought two antiques rifles for RTI (a Vetterli and a Gras) and have the freaking rear sight missing, anyone know why?
