La frase que odio escuchar en mi trabajo es "sabes ja que vas a hacer después?" donde después significa después de que mi contrato haya expirado..

I really wanna learn fluent Spanish m watching spajish series with English subtititles and sometimes I switch to see a word in spanish but how would I learn if u speaking only in Spanish 😭😭😭
Watch things with English subtitles, but also listen to Spanish only content. You can slowly transition from one to the other. Keep studying and talking to people/teachers.

Tengo una colega que es de la República Dominicana. Ella me enseñó la expresión "hoy me tienen justificando el sueldo". Esta expresión, a mi amigo argentino, no tiene ningún sentido en absoluto. Para mí (angloparlante) tiene sentido porque se puede traducirla palabra por palabra: "today they've got me justifying the salary". Es como: hoy estoy trabajando tan duro que no deja ninguna duda que el sueldo que (la empresa) tienen que pagarme es justificado. ¿Que piensas de esto? ¿Lo tiene sentido o no? ¿Tienes paráfrasis mejor que la mía?

Nosotros en Mexico decimos : estoy desquitando el sueldo. Supongo es diferente en cada país, pero yo entendería lo que dice tu amiga.
