- Going into season 1, the Dallas Fuel were predicted to be the best team that wasn’t completely poaching a top Korean roster. Instead, we were treated to possibly the biggest dumpster fire in OWL history. Was season 2 any better?

Welcome, this is "Running on Empty" Fuueeel review.
i remember being so hopeful after stage 2....
Here's my assessment of the Fuel:
Aero sucks at tinkering with metas
During OWWC 2018, he refused to play the meta at all, and that resulted in a first round exit from the USA.
During OWL, he refused to stray away from the meta (at least in Stage 3) and was not good when the meta shifted dramatically in stage 4.
Dallas' season this year is very much dependent on whether or not Aero has learned the right lessons from his previous blunders.
I think they just prepared for only North Korea and got way too cocky

I'm still annoyed that season 1 Dallas literally refused to play Cocco on WInston. When xQc wasn't playing, and they had to sub in Cocco, he never played Winston, not even once, so he would play Orisa almost all the time, even when it didn't fit. Like, Cocco isn't necessarily the best Winston in the league, but surely having a mediocre tank is better than playing the wrong one entirely.
Is it though? See: RJH's main tank for Dynasty in S1.
im still mad we let go of Rascal, imagine Rascal, Decay and Doha all on the same team this season. instead Rascal is just 1 of 5 Amazing DPS who will be lucky to get playtime on Baptiste this season. I guess he wins stuff with them to make up for it, but i would personally rather be playing.
@@Morphjin47 we have Kyky to thank for that. And also to thank for not playing Coco. Last season we had Aero to thank for playing Zach non-stop even though we had Mickie who is more than capable on brig but never got the slightest chance. Sigh...why can't we have someone like Crusty of Shock as coach

I was at that homestead(day 2). Let’s just say the stream doesn’t even do enough justice. It was amazing. The cheering was amazing. Despite being an outlaws fan, I can still look back on it with amazement

Everything you said was straight facts but damn its sad when you simply say it out loud. I'm not even a Dallas fan and I feel disappointed in them.
What you said about the Fuel being boring rings so true. Exemplified by the fact that this comment section is mostly talking about the "Contenders North Korea" slip up. Season 1 fuel was a train wreck, but train wrecks are explosive and exciting. Season 2 fuel was a 40 year old car on its last legs sputtering and crawling to the finish line. Season 3 might be better, but whats the point in even having hope
It's also really sad to know that with Taimou and Mickie leaving the Fuel for Team Envy, the original Team EnVyUs is now gone.

I think a lot of the frustration with Zach was that he saw 100% play time. It wasn't that he was playing terrible, it was that management was playing him like he was irreplaceable

Seagull was not a top streamer talent, he was esports first and foremost till he burnt out.
Honestly the worst part of the fuel is how they gave the fans hope this year. Year 1 they were terrible from the beginning, with a great run at the end. This year, it looked good for 2 stages, and then.... well the Fuel happened. If you're going to suck, at least don't give your fans hope, only to crush them brutally.
