Mass Effect - Star Trek Trailer Mashup

- Hi there! It has been a while since my last video. I didn't even plan to make this one and I actually have a "real" video that I'm working on.
I'm not a huge fan of these mashup trailers. I would like to create my own audio instead of using already existing one...well, I ended up doing this anyway and I felt like this one could actually work. This was something that I could do fast and of course the real honor goes to the guys who made the original trailer!
Now if we use a little bit of imagination, the voice over guy could be for example Shepards father, talking wise words to him when he was still young and unexperienced soldier...That's just what comes into my mind :P

When I watched the Star Treck trailer I thought that it looked like a Mass Effect trailer. Good stuff, as always you have produced a great trailer. Favorite bit was when TIM walked away with a smirk. Great stuff!

Very nice for something quick and easy, particularly the symmetry between scenes relative to the real trailer. That is what mash-ups are about after all :)

Oh mate....you are good. I had the exact same thought of doing a mash up too the moment I saw the Star Trek trailer, the way the narrator words it, felt like it would fit the Mass Effect universe perfectly. I'd been slowly collecting and editing game footage for the past month or so, I didn't realise till now that someone had beaten me to the punch, I have to admit mine doesnt even compare though, yours flows so well and you picked the scenes to use perfectly in my opinion. Thumbs up to you!!

lol Benedict is a phenomenal actor isn't he. If they ever make a Mass Effect movie, I really think he should be The Illusive Man if they aim to make him a bit younger. He just has that mystery in his acting, and just imagine Benedict with blue glowing eyes sitting on that chair with that Illusive Man hair lol. So awesome. Im sure a bit of makeup would make him look a bit older anyway.

Man I'd love to see another one of these. That was Awesome. But I would remain skeptical on an actual Mass Effect film. Hollywood just doesn't know how to treat such remarkable material they think they know what the fans want. But they go out of their way to make sure its done theirs. Anyways keep up the good work man.
They seriously need to bring you on when it comes to the next Mass Effect project Bioware is working on.
Great video, but I must say that the wise words being imparted to Shepard would only work if you had chosen that he was a military kid with his parents in the military and he grew up on ships with them. But I will just say that you did choose that background for him to save me from totally knitpicking. Overall, awesome video. Very good and well done. Great emotion.

I agree, and I wasn't aiming for my best. This was just something that was quick, easy and relaxing. I really liked the new Star Trek trailer btw. I have something more bigger and serious on the way. Something that feels more like my own creation :)
Obviously not as dramatic as it could have been but I don't care because some of the images you chose were awesome. Like the part where you added the Extended Cut with that mixed race guy shooting five Husks, that looked awesome with the Star Trek music. I wish you showed the Normandy expload instead of the Collector ship exploading because the Star Trek trailer is about loos and would have been really good but never mind.
Best Features: The story and characters, and the fact that every choice you make in some way affects the story. Also it has very well written dialogue and some great graphics.
Appeal to PC Gamers: The aiming in combat is easier and the graphics are much better (with ME3 being the standout)
Other positive things: The unique combat system, and the very good blend of shooter and RPG elements.
Depends on your Shepards background.
