I played this trilogy for the first time during lockdown last year, my wife has been a huge fan forever. I am now obsessed. To other newcomers to the series, don't hesitate! Simply one of the best sci-fi experiences across some of the best rpgs I've ever played. Bought a new xbox purely to play the legendary edition.

ME holds a special place in my heart. ME1 was the first modern A-list game I was set to learn (at the age of 58). Now that I am fully retired, I spend much of my time playing games. I've been so looking forward to this edition.
As far as my favorite character, I think it is Garrus. I keep hearing him in other games and he is still Garrus in my mind.

Absolutely, this was the first game I played on Christmas day with a Xbox 360! Hey, who knows maybe in a few decades we as humans will be revisiting these games to help alleviate Alzheimer's! I've also had the idea like video games could be helpful for the mind someday.

@@kaseyrolow the main carry over is who died in previous games. Some people have runs with wrex dead and as a result his presence in the sequels changes

ME2 is still one of my favorite games of all time. The characters you actually care about... the quirks like the Jack romance thing - just made this world and characters feel so real.

I disagree, there's so many missions between each story mission that it feels slow. But love the 3rd just because it takes everything and puts in one package and it feels like all the side quests you do actually benefit the main story

Went through ME1 thanks to it being free now and I can say I’m now playing the whole series through and hooked.
The legendary edition is coming to Epic for free in the end of the year , so look out for that.

This series has it all, from fantastic story telling to an incredible soundtrack. Even the spin off novels by Drew Karpyshyn were good.

To be honest, although ME3 was a great game I never liked the ending. Even if you play the first and second chapter at the best of your abilities and you finish them with the best endings, you will be disappointed with some of the choices developers made in the final chapters. I wanted to write more but no spoilers. XD

Mass effect and Dragon Age will always be two of my favorite games ever. I hope Bioware will also make a legendary edition of Dragon Age one day. Or at least a remake/remastered of Origins and 2.

I think that's one of the main things I love about this trilogy. Owning the ship or at least running it you felt in control of your story not just given it. Talk to your crew and learn more build the relationship or don't? Got 3 missions which first? Distress call ignore it or investigate? It's having that control of choice that I love about this trilogy and the fact that choices from the first carry through. I had to switch to PS3 at the time of 2 so I'm playing mass effect 1 for the first time in 14 years.

The Normandy just hits different. You get a similar experience in the outer worlds, but it isn’t the normandy
anyone else notices that in that scene where you first meet Miranda, Shepard had on weapon mods (The glowing bits around his gun), something that was introduced in 3 in terms of visual representation.
Without watching the video the only thing you need to know about mass effect legendary edition before you buy it is that you should have already bought it.

It felt good experiencing this series for the first time...to be able to see what happens next back to back was amazing...had a really touching lasting appeal to me
One thing I always liked about the Mako sections in ME1 is that they helped the worlds feel big without needing them to have to actually be big (there's only room for one game as big as Just Cause 2, and Just Cause 2 already left the seams heavily stretched).
For those that didn't get to grow up with this series this is a great release. Really happy to see Bioware comeback and try to reinvest the new consumer to its product.

Fun fact: She wasn't a romance option in ME1 because the developers back then thought that no one would want to romance her or Garrus. They later found out and changed that for ME2.

This was one of my favorite games when I was younger I remember when 3 came out i was so excited to finally have a conclusion to this massive story now I can replay this game in it’s entirety with better graphics! Can’t wait haha
I had mass effect on my grandpas pc, I started playing it when I was really young, and enjoyed it a lot, but I only played the first one and I didn’t really care about the story, because I was so young; but a lot of years later I saw the game somewhere and I really wanted to play it again, for real this time; but I couldn’t buy it and I didn’t have a lot of time to play it, so I forgot about it. Some time later, this edition was released, and since then I’ve been dying to get it, but sadly I couldn’t afford to spend that money… imagine how happy I was when I saw the game on this month’s list of ps plus games! Been playing it nonstop since, I just finished the second game, I’m loving the trilogy so much, I’m sad that I’m already on the last one, so I jumped on CZcams to see vids about the game.

Despite feeling a bit older control wise, you won't be disappointed (that applies to ME1 only, 2-3 play much smoother). My favorite game series of all time for damned good reasons.
Good for you, just in case you know who Wrex is or curious about him and planning to make a 1 to 3 walkthrough you might want to check out the decision-consequence walkthroughs a decision about Wrex affects ME 2 and ME 3 as well. Just in case pretty sure this is not a spoiler but a heads up. I enever knew this when I was playing hope you enjoy the 1st where it all began ^^.

This way you can truly play Shepard as you wish, rather than being either a boy scout or a ruthless prick. You could normally do both, but it's likely you'll end up with a build that prioritizes either one of the two, locking up a lot of choices. Cheating the alignment really opens you to a more realistic moral standing. Being good when you wanna be good and punish when you feel the situation requires you to punish. Otherwise you're forced to make choices you don't want to make. Like you encounter the most disgusting villain ever, but don't have enough Renegade points to tell him to eff himself, and stuff like that lol

@Azzir I’m in the same boat I have played three ages ago and I did like it, but I’m not sure for me personally this would be worth it, maybe wait for a sale, I mean I have gamepass if I reallly wanted to play these games I can at anytime, not remastered but I still have a ps2 hooked up I’m not turned off by dated graphics and controls, i just don’t really play games for the story and that’s the biggest appeal of these games especially the first
You have no idea how excited I am for this. Idk how, but this game series passed me by. And I was all about the 360. I love sci fi, and I love RPGs. And somehow, I just never got around to this. I feel like I have this huge, life changing adventure ahead of me.

You certainly do! I didn’t get around to playing these games until a few years ago and I immediately regretted not playing them sooner. The story is incredible, the choices you make actually matter (like, a lot), and all of the characters are really fleshed out and memorable. Usually in games, I’ll really like a few favorite characters, but I’ll only have a strong emotional connection with one or two (at most), in this trilogy, I have a deep emotional connection with nearly all of them (including the side characters). They are all well rounded characters that are all lovable in their own unique way, and the connections you build with them stick with you years after you play.
You do! Arguably my favorite trilogy of all time and by far my favorite RPG series. Mass Effect is a must play for ANYONE that likes shooter RPGs

As someone who normally likes ME1 and loves ME2 and ME3, I’m loving ME1 right now.
Little things like not having to crouch to go to cover, improved HUD, and improved reticle bloom really go a long way to improve the experience.
I hope I enjoy these. I've only played a few minutes of Mass Effect 3 when I was at a friend's house. Maybe this'll be something else we can bond over

@@Spankmepink It absolutely is lol. RPG are about the player assuming the characters roles within a narrative. Gameplay wise requires dialogue branching, alternative choice with different outcomes, and actions succeed or fail through multiple games (or within one) according to a set of rules. RPG doesn't mean just Swords and Dragons lol. If we really wanna nitpick, it's an Action-RPG.
I absolutely love the mass effect trilogy here! I never played mass effect when the games (trilogy) originally came out and I’m actually happy I waited for this version. It’s a beautiful series and everyone should play it. I also really didn’t mind andromeda, I think it deserves a little more love

@@bradh3292 well I played mass effect one about two years after it came out, so the graphics were acceptable. But like today I tried to go back and play the first one just so I can get an idea of everything that was improved, and I was astounded at how bad it was, graphically of course. So honestly I think the price of admission is just worth re-doing mass effect one. But just the fact that now I can play two and three on a remastered and re-supported platform is definitely a bonus

Extra points for putting that sequence in ME1 at the end of the video, the build up of the music and the way it starts soaring as you discover the Citadel behind the clouds is one my most memorable moments in video games and always give me the chills. It's so good to be back 😢

You don't need luck where you're going, you just need the right crew, and the best equipment. Your only trouble will be figuring out who you want to romance, but have no fear you're on the right site; there's plenty of videos to help you along...the problem is you only get to hookup with one person *le sigh*.

My favorite thing was the amount of Lore and Detail in the characters and species. I remember playing part one when I got it for $20 when Circuit City went out of business it was an amazing game.
Honestly, I played a couple minutes of Mass Effect on PC before the Legendary Edition came out and I liked it but never finished it. Then one day, out of nowhere, I was at a GameStop and bought a copy for my PS4. Then it sat there and I recently finally decided to sit down and play it. And I'm loving it. A family friend told me it gets insanely better, so, I'm hyped.

The fact that I got all parts as they were originally released and played through all of them and loved them and now I have 12 and 8 year old sons who are excited for this, only exudes a type of happiness that true gamers who have been lucky enough to pass on the joy of gaming can understand.

Kotor is probably my all time favorite game. I also really enjoyed Jade Empire. I never got a 360 because that’s about the time I left for the navy, but I’ve always wanted to play mass effect. When I saw the legendary edition on game pass, i immediately started the download. Needless to say, I am THOROUGHLY enjoying this trilogy on my series X.
KOTOR is amazing bro, but Mass Effect series is honestly by far the best game/games EVER! Even better than KOTOR. Keep playing Mass effect- all 3 games in a row

I remember simping so hard for Tali that I went out and bought ME2 again because I found out you can't romance her in ME3 if you didn't have the save files of 2.

I first bought mass effect back in 2007 when I was 15. Bought the 2nd at 18 in 2010 and 3rd at 19 in 2011. Now nearly 30 this franchise has aged very well and its like reliving those good old days
So I’m one of those that has never played Mass effect and just got the legendary edition even though they’re all on game pass and well:
Part 1 started off really cool and overwhelming and once the story got started and I started meeting the other characters I was hooked. I’m a 43 year old gamer and the only game I felt I was this connected to was the original final fantasy 7. This game has me laughing at the dialogue and I truly feel like I’m the commander of the Normandy. I can see why it’s been praised as much as it has. I’m in the beginning of mass effect 2 and was so happy to run into Garrus. Cannot wait to play more tomorrow.

The end is awesome, there's nothing wrong with it , you guys are just a bunch of "butthurt" because can't accept a sad ending, the ending with the DLC extended edition is pretty good . If there were only one canon ending it would still be great.

I played metal gear solid trilogy, all baldur's gate, divinity, neverwinter nights, all dragon ages, all final fantasies, god of wars, last of us, parasite eve, classic Resident evils, all castlevanias, suikoden, chrono trigger , I Played the GREATEST GAMES of all the time and I still think MASS EFFECT 2 IS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER RELEASED .

I started playing this game for the first time about a month ago. I liked the 3rd one the most. The graphics and the storytelling in my opinions was the best. There were emotional moments that were really done well. Overall, This game is one of a kind.
Now new people can fall in love with the series like we all did years ago

I played a little bit through Mass Effect 2 back in the day, not super far in. And I played the Mass Effect 3 Demo on Xbox 360. That basically covers my experience with Mass Effect from years past. I'm reallylooking forward to getting this!
So many great memories playing and beating all 3 of these games. I have the legendary edition as it were free on Playstation Plus. Definitely going to get back into it, one of my all time favorite series.

Oof...man, I was hoping they reworked the mako sections entirely in ME1; the mako sections is what makes getting a save for ME2 and ME3 so damn painful. Was also hoping they redid the entire last section of ME3 (from Thessia, all the way until the starchild), but that was probably a pipe dream anyway.
I might buy it in a few years when it goes to like 10$ just to access the games easier... I already have every game with it's DLC (besides ME1, just because it only had 1 DLC worth a damn), and I can just mod the textures to make them look better next time I want to go through the trilogy. It doesn't seem like this is anything meaningful for someone who already has all the games; just something to add conveniance to the experience. I'm glad someone will get the definitive experience though for those who haven't experienced it yet.
Bruh I feel this. I've played me 1 several times but now it's just so hard to get into its aged so bad especially the mako planet stuff. I lost my old saves and tried to get into it earlier this year and just couldn't.
I never got around to playing the dlcs for any of them so I'm looking forward to playing them again with all the dlcs
Can't wait to play this tomorrow. I've never played the series before so I'm really excited.

I just got this. I played ME1 a little off and on when I was young. Back then I couldn't get into all the questions aspect of it. I just kinda flew through them. I'm looking forward to getting into this trilogy again. I remember very little about it, tbh.
i always liked the mako levels- making exploration so much fun. also, loved ME3 (while we are on unpopular opinions)
