This whole scene was amazing. It totally emphasized how scary Cyberpsychosis really is. Sure, we saw Maine suffering through it, but getting a first hand look into David was nuts.
Guy had an addiction to chrome, and paid the price for it. Sad part is he just wanted to be strong enough to save everyone
I mean not entirely he was chasing mains dream
I love the fact he sounds like a witch doctor, very fitting
It's because he's probably a native from Pacifica (Where the voodoo boys are, that are like "Cyber Witches")
David's voice actor is amazing. I felt that "give me my fucking meds" in my heart.

yea facts! i just noticed this, and right after david trips out on him he all the sudden seems chilled out like how he was in the beginning

Honestly what comes after this scene is fking sad.Doc gives david one last set of meds and tells him that is it.the end of road.And for a character that we didn't seen that whole much or shown his attachment to david.And seeing his devastating look and realizing that david has no repair.honestly very impressive writing by trigger.

@@MrPanGonzo Trigger rewrote the script because they felt the original structure was too much like a video game.
@@l.a.a3553 they enhanced it but core arcs, characters and themes were the same just translated into anime

this scene burned into my brain, the way it goes from 0 to 100 real quick, first the docs talking normal and the music is quiet then the docs voice starts to get distorted and echos complimented with the crazy song and visuals as the docs face gets right up to davids and suddenly the doc has a bunch of eyes. Honestly I blame the Doc for doing that creepy finger thing and speaking like that to someone whos clearly losing their mind. Its like messing with someone while they're on acid, you just dont act like that infornt of them or theyll freak out. Any way I loved this scene, really shows how insane David really is becoming.

This is someone the doc has known since he was a little kid. Until he got choked out, David was like a nephew to Doc

That's the same Doc who ripped his spine of without putting him on anesthetic.
I can't get enough of his fucking voice. Its just bounces on the perfect border of being hyper cool and grating.

i always watch sub no matter what but it just felt wrong when i compared the edgerunners dub and sub
@@script270 I completely understand and respect that. Its a sort of "exceptional moment," right? We all do things maybe a certain way, but there are few moments in life when we make an exception and tackle the same objective/task/etc in a completely opposite manner.
I personally have seen my fair share of both subs and dubs, and believe both have equal right to exist and be enjoyed in their own way (I do also have burning resentment towards those who praise one to high heaven and absolutely shit on the other).
Personally I'm more of a dub guy, because it does not demand maximum attention to be understood, which allows me to perform a multitude of other tasks without a problem.
Most anime fans fanatically stick to subs, which I can respect. But too many just say all dubs are shit, which is just a lie.

@@vrabb9030 but was in and of itself enough alone to push him to the edge, just not as fast, not until david got a lot more chromed, still I'm positive he would've eventually gone insane probably just from the constant spamming
i think sandy would be completely fine. if david didnt chrome up like crazy+witness really traumatic shit like maines death, he would be alright. Im a fan of the theory that cyberpsychosis is less about the chorme and more about your trauma
@@johnnystankiewicz295 Theory i have is that David's Cyberpsychosis was more subtle, it didn't show obvious symptoms till David was too deep to be willing to downgrade his chrome, maybe David's Cyberpsychosis was actually pushing him towards getting more chrome and then it got ugly, when David was too addicted to stop himself.
That's just a theory though.
What other studio could make a scene like this look as crazy?

Kenjiro Tsuda voice makes it 1000 times scarier, god bless this guy coz lately, between jujutsu Kaiden, the life of a househusband, chainsaw man. and cyberpunk, I swear I was so hype when I recognized his voice 😊

I'll be completely honest. I was a bit high when I saw this scene and it really messed with me In the way that David was probably already off the deep end long ago and never realized it but was struggling every moment to keep it together.
Ima keep it real doc did nothing wrong in this scene he was just warning david about the dangers of chroming the fuck up and he didn't listen

@@sergsergesrgergseg Not really. Just means you're not used to it. Understandable if you've been watching anime in subbed for a long-time now. But the dub for the Cyberpunk anime is one of the good ones.
It'll always be weird hearing characters that you're already used to hearing having a different voice.
Dubbed makes sense, it's California USA, and you can hear all the distinct accents of everyone rather than japanese
@@KeysAndDoorss Yep. The part when David was being chased by the biker gang, they were speaking in Japanese even in the english dub. Makes sense since the Tyger-Claw is a yakuza-like gang. Its a nice detail to help sell the world and that Night-City is full of different ethnicity. Hell the main character is Latino and Lucy is japanese-polish.
