You have to sink the Enterprise to get 3 stars. I kept sinking the Hornet and only got one. I'll try again. good game.

Men, i place, 70 naval mines, along the west side to the east side, at a 90 ° angle and wait for them, i barely could see any US ship on the screen

That is pretty good. Just curious if you had any ideas on how to beat the naval missions on the other doctrines (without naval mines). I still have not been able to figure out a way on these. Although on the positive side was able to beat the third Finland mission (30 minutes ago will post in a few weeks) using the armor Doctrine (no land mines or smoke grenades). Thanks and good luck!
@Gary DeVries in particular, I tried to destroy the cruisers to use the TacBombers on the destroyers, but i Just get 2 stars. Yeah, in finish last mission, i try to use infantry, but almost i can't achive the three stars, but when I played the Challenge mode, i choose the armored doctrine, was much more easy.
How much are the medals worth? For the base game as well as dlc?
I don't know the exact value. What I do know is certain ones are worth more than others. For example a tank Hunter medal would be worth more than a pillager medal. For this mission mines and bombing would probably yield the best points.

@@Silverballer48c this mission is very difficult to get 3 stars ⭐⭐⭐ almost everything has to be done perfectly and one has to get max value on medals. It took me several attempts.
@@garydevries5961 it also seems that once the over carrier starts to leave you cannot damage it anymore, it'll take no damage
How many surviving ships do I need to have?
@@Silverballer48c One loses points for lost ships. The more ships that survive, the better.
Is the battle of Midway on sudden strike if so.. I can't wait to play it.. I just bought the game for xb1s and I love it.. I saw this and though.. damn you can play fighters and ships too!! Wicked lol 👍
The Battle of Midway is not on sudden strike 4. In this game there are only two naval battles (one from the US side and the other from the Japanese campaign) that is shown here. Naval battles are only part of the DLC which can be purchased as a disc copy which I did and are not part of the original sudden strike 4. Thanks. Idk why but every time I play the Santa Cruz mission my game crashes.
Not sure. . . mine is the PS4 version have not had any issues with that. . . Maybe there is an update patch online. . . Did manage to find an article for dealing with issues like this on the PC

Not sure on that one. Best idea I can come up with is to update the game online. Although, I played all of this offline.

Agree. It is even more difficult to be with the other doctrines. Just got a 3 star rating the Navy doctrine and will post that in a few weeks. Have not been able to get a three-star rating with a support doctrine though.
@@garydevries5961 I tried several times last night with navy on easy and I still couldn't get three. And I don't find these missions fun either. I really regret the fact that this is part of the game.
@@rj8569 yeah this mission is a tougher one. Best tips I can think of are to try to lay as many mines with the destroyers as possible as more points are awarded for medals. Also consider matchups such as Taco bombers are good against destroyers. Torpedo bombers are good against cruisers as well as destroyers. The trick is to figure out where the cruiser (or other ship) is going to be so they can actually hit them, which can be difficult. I don't think I was very effective on the mission for this video in that regard, however when using the Navy doctrine I was much more effective for that. In short, ships sunk by aircraft will get medals and more points man sinking those same ships with destroyers or cruisers. One final point is a three-star system basically works where one gets points for damage dealt and medals while losing points for damage received.

@@jorgepena4790 Traté de bloquear colocando un barco en su lugar. Después de jugar varias veces, tuve mucha suerte en esta. la estrategia fue enfocarse en perseguir ciertas medallas con taco bombers y minas que valen más puntos que otras medallas. esos puntos marcan la diferencia entre tres estrellas y dos estrellas. gracias.
