    Not sure if you've played sudden strike 1 and 2, but you used to be able to build dragon teeth and hedgehogs on the battlefield with supply/maintenance trucks. This allowed you to be able to make an obstacle course in the direction the enemy was attacking and fill in the gaps with mines. Is this still a thing in sudden strike 4 or did they remove this feature? I've been looking for videos on the subject, but only come across resupplying/refueling and regular gameplay.

      Short answer is no for building hedgehogs. There is only one mission where hedgerows are in place and that is in the allied campaign. However, one has to break those apart with certain tanks as they are in place as part of the German defense. Thanks.

      @@garydevries5961 ah ok. It sucks that they took away that feature. It was satisfying when you built a bunch in the right place and your defenses are able to pick off all the bunched up enemy tanks trying to get around it.

      @@_Saved-By-Grace_ this was my first sudden strike game. Prior to that it was command and conquer for Nintendo 64 and army men RTS for GameCube. Both also had better defensive options and base building ability but unfortunately lacked graphics and depth. Also AI is slightly better for sudden strike 4. That being said they are all great games. Thanks.

      @@garydevries5961 yes command and conquer is where it all started for me. I had command and conquer for n64 as well and it was actually better than the pc version at the time lol. I also played a little red alert 1, tiberium sun was great and the red alert 2, but then i discovered sudden strike. Haven't played 3 or 4, but i might get 4 if i see it on sale. Doesnt seem very popular, so I'll wait for a sale price.

      @@_Saved-By-Grace_ yeah I bought the other ones too but never got around to playing them. For command and conquer for N64 and RTS used to play where I'd set up a defensive mission and then go to bed or go to work (leave it running) and then come back and see if my position had been wiped out or not and then finish later.

    What happens if you dont have a supply truck?

    • @garydevries5961
      @garydevries5961  Před 3 lety +1

      Then one will be forced to make tough decisions such as abandoning tanks or artillery pieces due to low fuel or low ammo. Losing a supply truck does not necessarily mean that a mission is not beatable, however it does make it more challenging. Thanks and good luck!

    how do i refill the repair trucks?

    • @garydevries5961
      @garydevries5961  Před 2 lety +1

      Unfortunately, repair trucks cannot be refilled. So, one will either need to restart the mission or reload from an earlier save. Thanks.
