      Alan Shields
      Hamilton
      South Lanarkshire
      Scotland
      Was without Interest after moving
for 2 weeks missed a good chunk of Rugby Union as a result still playing catch up to a certain extent.
My preferred Rugby jersey manufacturers would be
Nike , Macron & Adidas in that order
      unfortunately not many teams have
Nike as a manufacturer in terms of
      Rugby Union.
I feel Cantabury went down hill big time they used to have well manufactured jersey but rubbish designs I still think buy & large there designs are rubbish but recently they have did a good job with
Ireland jersey but it's been difficult to get hold of one since The Pandemic.
I think Nike have done a great job
      with Fiji so far.
I dont rate Adidas at all in terms of
Rugby Union jerseys they are far to thin & prone to snagging.
The only issue with Marcon is
the sizeing is harendus but material & design wise they are right up there for me.
Castore need to up there game a bit design wise sport on but material wise they need to be more robust.
      Keep Safe everyone.

I don't have that many rugby jerseys but my Ireland training jersey made by canterbury that I bought just before the 2007 RWC has held up pretty well. It's a bit faded but still comfortable. With the RWC returning to France this year, it brings back bad memories, so it might be time for a new one, but in addition to rather than as a replacement.

Most of my playing jerseys (Sunday league) and (mixed 7s) were Kukri and loved the comfort and feel of them and never lost their colour. I have had all sorts of supporter jerseys and old Canterbury and Nike are the best. Especially the older ones with the sponsors and logos sewn in rather than printed on. My partner still wears my 95' white alternate bok jersey regularly as its comfy, never faded or frayed and still looks good.

I think it also depends on what jersey you want to buy...looking at a supporters jersey or a replica...I feel my Blue Bulls replica jersey made by puma quality wise is top notch...being a replica it is a bit tight and it might be a bit scratchy but I love it. Hi bro,
As shared before, because of your jersey videos I have expanded away from my fave teams and collected a few other teams.
Nevertheless, besides an ABs jersey, I have purchased a Southland Stags and Otago rugby jerseys this year.
I have found with both teams, Stags (Paladin) and Otago (Gilbert) I have had to go up a size for a "comfortable fit lol".
What I like about these jerseys compared to my previous ABs and Super Rugby NZ adidas jerseys is the sublimation in the jerseys, and not having to wordy about any logos cracking or peeling at all.
Also re: material. Do you think with a lot of rugby jerseys using more recycled material like bottles from the sea etc makes the jersey fit go out of shape kinda?
Also will def check out that site you shared too.
Keep up the cool content 👍🏾

Just got myself an 09 Ireland jersey by puma and it’s great but huge! Also this week got hold of the Frances kiwi beating jersey from 07 same size but slightly tighter. Got adidas jersey find them the best fit, apart from my AB one I wear them less. Nike for the feel (also Fiji 7 one is so beautiful) great shirts and printing. BLK is alright. Canterbury lasts the best I’ve found collar wise. Under armour was so nice to wear casually or exercising. Never owned an ASICS one kind of want the current Wallabies one. I have a lot of Macron, great designs but remember to size up. The Italian jersey is so nice. Find them a bit heavier than the rest so should last a while. Got a castor one, that Samoan one. It feels nice. But I’d a step down from Nike and the collar on that one is a bit annoying

  • @damiankeuning9838
    @damiankeuning9838 Před rokem +2

it makes also a huge difference if you are playing or if you are wearing it casually. the weather Also makes some difference. when you are playing you want it a bit tighter so its harder for the opponents to tackle you and you run faster. and if casual a bit looser for comfort.

As a Scot, Macron sizing can vary year to year depending on the jersey style with respect of the shirt panels. Love their adventurous designs though.
Nike, only got a Racing 92 home Jersey from 2018 and a France 2008 home, but both have lasted well and they're nice style wise.
Adidas, got a few France home jerseys and a Highlanders shirt, lovely designs and lasted well.
Asics, only got a South Africa home from 2019 world cup, lovely feel and fit, will probably bobble over the years?
Canterbury, have the Scotland home and away from 2011 in replica and the Ireland home, cotton style from their famous Chicago win against the all blacks! All have lasted well, great material (Ireland shirt is super bobbly). Also same for Bath but more recent shirt still good.
Under Armour, got 1 Canada home and 1 Wasps home. Lovely material but neat fitting/stretchy. Canada home has some lovely maple leafs for extra ball grip to the chest.
Le Coq Sportif, I have France home shirts, love the designs but inconsistent sizing like macron depending on how they split up the individual panels of a shirt when physically made up.

Nike is definitely the nicest, I don't mind the Puma and Macron jerseys I have too. A few brands I have fit a little weird, like BLK and Samurai seem to be a lot bigger and Kappa seems to be smaller. The main problem with "team Jerseys" is the quality of the jerseys sold to fans has no relation to the ones supplied to National, Club organisations.
UnderArmour are unable to sustain their Rugby business due to the fact they tried to keep the same quality jerseys available to everyone...........
In my local RFC, I volunteered to look after the wall mounted display case that has all the Jerseys donated by former Internationals. Most signed by former and current England Players.......Jason White and Will Greenwood to name but a few.
The Ones donated in the last ten years are miles better in terms of strength and quality, compared to the ones owned by club members, many of whom have paid for the "Actual Team Jersey" which still are nowhere near the donated jerseys quality
PS.One of our Jerseys was donated in 1934 by Prince Oleg Oblensky, an exiled member of the Russian Royal Family, who took refuge in Britain. This Jersey is still in superb condition, considering it's almost a century old! I've been told that it's made from Hemp, which lasts much longer than cotton! Hence the reason so many pre-WW2 uniforms exist in decent condition in Museums, as they were made from Hemp due to it's strength!

Quite surprised that you dislike Adidas. It seems like Adidas does the more successful teams like the All Blacks and Leinster and the NZ super rugby teams.
I've always liked Canterbury. They've always been what I like to think of as the quintessential rugby jersey. The Boks had Canterbury, then went to Nike before the 2003 World Cup and that was the worst-looking Bok jersey ever. Then back to Canterbury for 2007 and that was probably my favourite jersey of all time. Asics didn't have a great start for me with the Boks, because the colour looked off and it was just boring jerseys. But since the 2019 world cup, the Bok jerseys looked great, the BIL Tour jerseys had a classic feel to them with modern twists. Loved that!
Now we're returning to Nike and I am not very excited, because the teams who use Nike don't have nice-looking jerseys. The Argentina jersey looks terrible, and that collar looks like it doesn't know if it wants to be up or down. Then subjectively, there's just nothing that excites me about Nike jerseys. But... I'd love to be surprised or proven wrong.

Castore have some real issues in the southern hemisphere. They seem to be ok in Europe, Harlequins away and big game jerseys look great for example. But down under Castore are awful in terms of quality and delivery. They're having to get other companies to make some of their AFL and NRL gear because they can't make delivery dates and whatever.
Where's your Dynasty Sport review two cents? 😉

TBH, rugby jerseys nowadays have gone mellow and boring. You can’t tell the difference between an rugby jersey and a regular tshirt.Design of collars looks cheap and thinner.Jersey designed pattern look like those jockey horse racing type with square pattern colors, this is common now with Nike.Look what they introduced when they become Fijis main appereal? Huge black strips across the jersey! ..WTH!…I almost mistook them for the Power Rangers!..I think Addidas is the only one that shows they love both rugby an

Thank the Lord Boks are moving back to Nike. Current fabric is not comfortable. No ventilation and scratchy

  • @HereComesTheStormTrooper

I'm from La Rochelle, most supporters including myself are quite disappointed with Adidas. The fabric quality is below average and most designs are "meh, not that great".
Hungaria was the former supplier, it had really nice street wear stuff whereas Adidas is just taking its common stuff in black with white stripes, putting the logo of the club on it and "voilà...".
I wish Stade Rochelais could go with Nike next time, I got a lot of France Team jerseys (team and replicas) and Nike absolutely destroys Adidas then it comes to the quality of the fabric.

I am an adidas fanboi but I have to concede, the supporter jerseys are really uncomfortable. They don't breathe well and are irritable. If they changed the material to something like their alphaskin training gear, they'd be awesome.

Addidas is Shite, Simple as, it is designed to be uncomfortable after two washes, lose its logos after one wash, it feels like wearing a pair of clammy cacks over your chest UGHHHHH . My favourite is Canterbury because they always have a cotton option for the folk who don't actually play the game anymore but want to be comfortable in the gear they wear to an away weekend supporting their club. I cannot understand WHY Leinster run with them, except maybe there is a CVC/Silverlake involvement there which they a being screwed by.
