    Two guys on the Journey off life trying to make sense off it all. Funny, entertaining, kind, even thoughtfully. What not too like. Keep going even when you both retire it will be nice to see more of the journey together. Especially after the rugby life. As those challenges will keep coming. Love it all. Why does Borthwick separate Marlar and Cole? Together they parried and withstood the South African juggernaut; it was only after they were taken off that England's scrum took a beating.

    • @gondil07
      @gondil07 Před 2 dny +1

      I remember someone talking about that, yes, they are the best pairing, but any other pairing can't withstand as much, so by splitting them there is always a good prop on the front row

    • @ruckedover7633
      @ruckedover7633 Před 3 dny +6

      The Bok prop depth is phenomenal. Best in the world.
      But the only squealing in the 23 semi came from Faf as he screamed at his starting props to get dominance and Cole just didn’t move.
      I loved that. After 2019, when he was unfairly blamed (scrum gained parity after Marler replaced Vunipola), that felt like redemption.

    The pressure of being in the front row that the England scrum coach describes as reuslting "light headedness....which shows how hard you are working" is not quite accurate.
    Yes the physical effort required by props is immense...but the physical forces within a scrum have a deeper effect into the spine and the overall neurosystmem of props.
    This is a type of pressure that is not seen in any other professional sport....and not even seen by any other players in rugby other than props (and maybe the hooker also).
    I think its amazing that more professional front row forwards do not suffer debilitating injuries during or especially after their careers.
    I never thought I would say this but I think moving towards a rugby league style scrum with ball feeding and minimal engagement has to be the way forwards.
