These games have developed a core set of values over the years, with each player filling a specific role for their team. And, being the genre’s new kid on the block, Valorant has chosen to adopt many of these same values.
But the thing about rules and tradition, is... well, not everyone is interested in following them.
Meet Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk, 100 Thieves’ zealful zoomer, whose aggressive playstyle and absolutely cracked aim has not only helped the Thieves become one of the best VALORANT rosters in North America but earned Asuna a reputation as one of his game’s flashiest fraggers.

Riot actually nerfed Frenzy and Stinger pretty well. Both guns' potential was only realized a few weeks before they were both nerfed. Nowhere near a year of OP usage.
Um people were abusing frenzy and stinger since the beta, it just wasn't used in the pro scene since most people came from CS:GO and were sceptical. The only reason they started using them is because they kept getting crushed in pugs by the guns, and cause Overwatch pro's were abusing them.
@@Mycrosss "Abusing" is very different from just being strong weapons. From my memory, Stingers and Frenzy only started being abused earlyish February.
They just killed the stinger now. It's practically useless beyond the range of judge
I didn't really understand why he emphasized so much on "year" that valorant has been released because no one was using stinger and frenzy since the start of valorant, it only got traction in the last months.
@@Mycrosss this obviously comes from someone who never played the game. The weapons were so off meta for most of the game lifespan, that the only real person to use the frenzy was Sinatraa, and the Stinger was literally a 1k waste.

@@user-cl8cl6qc5t actually that's not all sports do you shouldn't underestimate how hard csgo tier 1 is because even if you have good aim like tenz it doesn't mean you can win tournaments you need to study the game a lot and all it takes to get into most sports is talent and keeping fit and hard work, I don't think it is as mentally draining as csgo is imo and learning musical instruments isn't hard it takes max 6 months to learn how to play one and a year or two to master it same with learning a language can't say the same for csgo
@@shallter455 thats because when people play games, they play to have fun and most ppl dont actually train very efficiently even for a sweaty gamer. remember its leisure time. played 1-2 month of valo, got to plat. Almost 1 year later im Immortal. Got to diamond in league 1.5 years of playing. Do you know why? It took me watching youtube, proguide videos, reviewing my gameplay and especially coaching. Yes, most of those cost money, money saves you time but that got me to the top 1-2% in these games.
Played basketball since a young kid, had training in school, coaching outside of school. Those cost even more money than video game coaching and I doubt im even near top 20% of the players, I gave it my all even more than i did trying to reach high rank in gaming.
I never said it was easy to be tier 1 in csgo. but to be ''tier 1'' in singing/dancing/sports or whatever skill is harder imo.

Mostly abilities and how they are done and the gun play. I played valorant for a good 3 ish months from beta start quit and tried a few games couple of weeks ago just doesnt scratch that itch. Also im not hating on valorant im not saying cs is better as a game i prefer cs over valorant but thats just my opinion.

I was literally stuck in silver for the longest time and i pretty much went for bhopping frags and when I played valorant I literally got plat with solo queue. game is easy but it is fun and the pro scene looks really good. it is just that there is a lot of brain dead league players that don't understand what a save or a default is.

Glad to see Dimitri’s work on Valorant has taken a more positive tone. Even though I’m sure the guy still doesn’t like Valorant nearly as much as CS, it makes the content he releases much more enjoyable for Valorant fans when he isn’t shit talking the game like it’s cartoon CS.
Asuna put it well, though the game is less mechanically intense, there are other avenues that allow the same dopamine-rush skillful plays as CSGO or even Siege.

i love riots ability to make huge changes in their game, for example in league of legends they add so many new items that people hate(because they of it further destroying balance of the game) when they announced it but they still release because they know people will get used to it quickly.

I think thescore got it wrong. Asuna isn't good because of run & gun. He's good because of how the agents break up play styles, allowing you to focus on one style of play, Which differs from csgo's more rounded style, In valorant, Asuna can embrace his style of aggressive aim duels. I don't think we need to talk about the frenzy and stinger in this video.

@@ello-m8 really? Ive pretty much only heard asuna pronounced with a very weak u, what im really saying is that most english speakers make the 3 syllables really obvious but its not supposed to be. Like if they were saying Vi-de-o, they say As-oo-na. I'm pretty sure that's wrong, no? Maybe I am hearing 3 but the weaker syllables are a lot weaker in japanese than they are in english.
