Love this format! For destination, I vote for Hong Kong. If you expand the series, it could include not just 4 ways to get to a destination but 4 ways to use Alaska miles, for example.

The thing about the Philippines is all the direct flights to the US are with PAL, which doesn't have transfer partners, so it's best to connect through Cathay, ANA, JAL, Singapore, EVA, or the other Asian airlines that have transfer parters with US credit cards. I'll make a tutorial about this soon!

Round trip / LAX - ICN then ICN - LAX ?
I'd book two separate one way flights (you can often find better availability that way).

If I'm traveling in the first week of April 2024, would you recommend booking Asiana flight now or wait?
I'd recommend grabbing tickets as soon as possible if you already know your travel dates. This will help maximize your chances of finding hard-to-grab seats, especially if you are looking to travel in business class.

I know it's almost impossible to fly Korean airline first class but if possible which partner is best to transfer it to?
Since Korean Air is Sky Team, I'd look with Air France, Virgin Atlantic, and maybe Delta (though Delta would probably charge an arm and a leg for it).
