We’ve reached the conference semifinals in the postseason of the NHL and that brings us a win-or-go-home situation between Central Division foes in the Mile-High City. The top-seeded Dallas Stars take on the third-seeded Colorado Avalanche in Game 6 of their best-of-seven series Friday night. In Game 1 of the series Tuesday night, Colorado got off to a sluggish start but rallied to win 4-3 in overtime to draw first blood and steal home-ice advantage away from the Stars. Dallas took control of Game 2 again and hung on instead of wilting, taking a 5-3 win Thursday night to even the series. In Game 3, Dallas regained home-ice advantage by picking up a 4-1 victory Saturday night. The Stars followed that up with a 5-1 road win in Game 4 Monday night but missed a chance to close things out at home as Colorado earned a 5-3 win Wednesday night. Will Dallas slam the door here or will Colorado force a winner-take-all all Game 7 by prevailing at home?
