MTB Travel Review right! I feel that the pro-rugged would fit me better, I do have some Demon Hyper X D30 but they feel a bit uncomfortable on big rides.

Which they had some E-line shin guards to match those knee pads or perhaps a e-line knee/shin pads.
These will go great with my super73 RX
Awesome to see that E-Line! I don't take chances with my knees and only use pads with a hard shell (to many sharp pointy rocks) so i never wanted G Forms, i also dislike the pull over sleeve type of pads. i will definitely be looking at the E Line version to see if they could replace my fox brand ones for my next set. Current knee pad of choice is the old version of the Fox Launch Pro and i wear them year round even when temps go above 100F
No one will ever judge you for protecting your knees the best way you see fit, that's for sure! I think there are many folks that share your fear of not using a hard shell knee pad. The E-Line are going to be stiff competition for some of the big boys out there now!
This is the best G Form comprehensive review I have seen, great job. Can you tell me if the Pro Rugged run true to size? And is there a sizing guide on their web site someplace? Subscribed!!!!

I bought the eline because i like the ability to not have to take off shoes to get them off and on..
i fell off my bike yesterday, and i've already done enough falling when i was younger.. was looking at cheaper pads, but then i realize, my knees are worth more than that lol.
also found a "Like New Used" set on Amazon so that saved me $40 from MSRP!

Trying to figure out sizing as I’m right in between M and L. What size you wearing and how tall are you ?
Next knee pads for sure. Have you tried the Eline elbows on a trail or are they just a downhill pad?
I don't usually rock elbow pads, so unfortunately no. I would say they are more downhill/enduro oriented, but all rider preference.

@@Error-hc7mp yeah they are pretty good. Only complaint is the elbow pads fit very snug at the forearm and the Velcro strap is kinda short. It stretches, but when you velcro it down it feels even tighter. Other than that I like them. No complaints with the knee pads.

Aerodynamics doesn’t really matter on a mountain bike, but G-Form does have the best contoured body fit I have ever tried. Check my page for the original Gform pad review if you want some more detail on that. No opinion on Leatt airflex.

If I ride long distances, like 60km or even 80km or more (up to 100km), and the terrain in very step or there are long climbs, like 20km climbig and the descent is very rough and have a lot or loose rock and es very fast, do you recommend the pro rugged? I'm more concern about if the pro rugged can be used in long distances rides. Great video, already suscribed
Nicolas Garcia I would recommend the pro rugged or pro-x2 for the trails you are referring to. Pro rugged of course are better for beefier trails while the pro-x2 are a touch lighter. That being said, when I rock the pro rugged or any beefier pad on extended climbs, I drop my knee pads down around my ankles on the climbs for a little added comfort and then pull them back up for the descents. Not necessary as they are comfortable, but just my style. And thanks for the support!
@@MTBTravelReview Thanks a lot, also another concern that I have is the fact that the pro-x2 doesn't have a strap like the rugged and well, I do not know if the x2 are going to be always in my knee no matter what happen in the
trails. Bc some reviews about x2 says that as those ones doesn't have a strap, it can come off in big crashes, so that's my second concern, Do you think that the pad can come off due to a wrong sizing? or it may happen that the crash is so big that the pads cannot hold in place bc they were not designed for such big crash? (I recently have a big crash and my knee got seriously injured that's why I'm asking so much)Thanks again!!
Nicolas Garcia if you are looking for adjustability and better protection, go with the Pro-Rugged. They have a nice top strap. The pro-x2 are more of a light local trail riding pad and could slip off if not properly sized.
Hi, awesome review, I look like some sort of power ranger with the amount of G-form gear that i have, elbows, knees, shirt, shorts, calves.
I'm looking to get the gloves; I wear medium in most brands, TLD, 100%, Giro, ect. would you say that they run true to size?
Power rangers are rad! Gloves run true to size or ever so slightly small.
Thanks for the comprehensive video regarding G Form. I am in the market for purchasing a set of both elbow and knee pads. I ride in the deserts of AZ! I have been looking at G Form, Ion, Sam Hill and Endura. My goal is first and foremost is safety, followed by comfort/fit, breathability, and a well made product. Have you tried any of the above I mentioned? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Keep the dirty side down. Jg
The only brand I have tried of the ones you have mentioned is Endura. Their stuff is ok. For me, Gforms protection and comfort covers all of my needs, so I haven’t needed to shop around. Sorry I can’t be more helpful on that end, but I appreciate the support!
Do the elbow pads run small ..the other elbow pads run small..
I don't have any knee pads currently. I'm looking at either the pro x2 or the rugged pro. Is the difference in money worth it for the pro rugged or just get the pro x2?
All depends what you are looking for. Pro-X2 is a lighter trail pad, pro-rugged is... more rugged. Both are great.
Do you know if G-Form improve their ankle protective pads?

Yes. Pro-X3 line def is. Pro-rugged and elite, only if you wear really loose jeans
Just bought a pair of the e-line knee pads and they are too tight round the calf and too loose around the thigh. I have slightly skinny legs but have not had issues in the past with ion or fox pads not fitting. Shame was really hoping these would be a good fit

They are light and flexible, but they are really only good for one fall. The fabric will tear upon impact. They are also only for off-road as they do not skid on pavement or rock.
@@zang9147 I have crashed many times with no tears, but that’s just my experience. The pro-x2 and pro rugged aren’t recommended for pavement as they don’t slide, but the new eline pads are hard shell and slide well on pavement.
