    Great video! I’ll be checking out more of your stuff. How does the blind affect driving? Does the blind get in the way of steering?

  • @deandaniels4031
    @deandaniels4031 Před 3 lety +1

    One more question for you when grassing our blind you start from the bottom loops on the blind and work your way up. When attaching grass to the loops of the blind, do you use tie zips or grab a handful of grass fold it in half and loop the grass through the blind loop?

    @ryanakens Před 2 lety +2

    I have the same blind and boat and the same complaints. I think I'm going to install snaps for the top to get rid of the Velcro because it does fall quite often. I don't have a dog sometimes I go out so I thought about doing snaps vertically on the back near the motor to make an easier way in and out as well. Great blind besides those few complaints, but I still highly recommend it.

      Yeah, I totally agree. It’s a great blind, but there are a few things that could make it better.

    I have the same boat and was looking at a beavertail 1600 glad I found this video. Didn't know you can take the three hatches and open it all up. I do have a question or two, if we have it setup of being fully open can you use the bow and back elevated section for a hunter? Also I am concerned about the metal cross bar just in front of the outboard I can see it is covering the door over the fuel tank? Also how is it with the tiller handle will it be all the way down or do you need to run it up?

    • @BadAtHunting
      @BadAtHunting  Před 6 měsíci

      yes, the front and back decks can be used with a hunter, and the metal brace bar does cover the access door to the gas tank.
      the titler handle on mine worked fine, just as it normally would.

    Hey man cool vid. I just got a beavertail. I’ve got a question. So when you bolt the support elbows to the hinge piece do you tighten them all the way down? Or just enough to hold them in place? Thanks

    • @BadAtHunting
      @BadAtHunting  Před 2 lety +1

      If I’m understanding your question right, you tighten them but not so much that it’s locked down. If it’s helpful, check out beavertail’s assembly video here on CZcams - they go pretty in depth.

  • @Laughinghawg
    @Laughinghawg Před 2 lety +2

    To hide the motor and bow of the boat, it looks like you could just add a lot more grass to it and it would cover it up more/better. Not a perfect solution, but an economical way to fix the issue.

    lack of a dog door is a big negative....I have the 1700 on my 1654 Grizzly Tracker....the blind is a shade too big and the motor gets in the way of the scissor frame. can't tilt the motor up.
    I've been turning thoughts through my head on how to get a dog door in there without taking to a canvas shop....they are not going to like all the grass all over the blind to do their work. I may just cut a semi-circle and call it a day.

      Jason did you ever get a blind? I also have a 1652 VT which is 75in beam length. I measured out where the 1700 would fit on my boat and where it would sit on the front of my boat and it would be about 48in wide which is too narrow for that size blind. I know it says 72' max beam for the 1600 series so curious if you were able to make it work.
