Could you put a link for the ghillie blanket and nylon material please?
I don’t have a link for the nylon. But the ghillie blanket was from. www.Ranchosafari.com I got the 4 seasons color
@@FreelanceDuckHunting can you pin this? I saw a lot of guys looking for it in the comments. Thanks! That is an amazing boat blind!
I’m not sure if his is… but they have waterproof polyester material online. Not sure which is best sorry.
@@FreelanceDuckHunting how long after you ordered before you got the material? Was trying to call the guy but he doesn’t seem to respond.
That blind is awesome!
I’ve been doin a lot of lookin on CZcams gettin ideas to build my own and this is by far the best one I’ve seen so far they deserve props
This is hands down the best boat blind design I've seen, this is incredible!
That is the best DIY boat blind design I have seen. Well Done!!!
Can't wait to see it in action! I like that you show how you put together your gear, kayaks and now this...thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I enjoy sharing it
Do you have any more details/schematics for the boat blind?? Yours looks sweet and would love to make one like that as well!
Great boat blind! It’s the real deal solid well built and simple love it. Thanks for sharing.
This by far the best DIY blind I think I’ve seen.
This is by far the best blind set up in a boat I’ve seen. Charlie needs to file a patent on this thing. Awesome
This is way I've all do respect for the old timers, duck hunters they have seen it all, it is the best boat blind I've seen and I have the bustem blind, awesome job
Boat is looking great and that setup has me thinking of redoing our old blind. Really admire your commitment to finding solutions to keep Fumbles out in the field
Thanks Thomas
Mr. Radford was one of my grandpas old war buddies. He always says he’s envious of the ducks we shoot up here because y’all don’t have as many as you used to down there. Awesome video!
HydroTurf is the only way to go! I do recommend running the grooves the length of the boat for draining purposes. Well done build!
Really like the blind concept, I’m in the process of making that blind out of EMT conduit and would like a close up picture of the adjuster either from you Elliot or Charlie, thanks. Great videos!
I love how dedicated you are to all things duck hunting and waterfowling related. It's really inspiring and keeps the dog days of summer interesting with ur videos. Any update on if Danny boy will join u again this year?
Thank you Peter! Actually just hung out with him a couple days ago. I don’t know how much he’s going to hunt but he will definitely be hunting some this year!
From the Great Northwest public Duck Blind Elliott that is one of the best choices I've seen made on a boat for being homemade very well-thought-out boat looks great this year and yes it will make fumbles and you a whole lot more comfortable remember sitting in a tree and trading out waders just to stay dry put a nice heater in there and remember to create a spot for your dog to always be that way they know their place in the boat okay enough for me God bless from the northwest October's coming
That blind is slick! Love it! I can now say I’ve parked by that leaning barn
You’re lucky it didn’t fall down and crush your car
That is impressive! Beats the home made scissor blind I put on mine for this season. I was thinking about changing to a hard sided blind next season but I may try this instead. Good work and great video!!
Love it!!!! Great simple design too!!
Could you please do a more detailed video how your blind works and is put together please. That thing looks awesome!!
Hell yeah brotha 💥 can't wait to see in action
Heck of a setup Elliot!
This is an awesome design and an awesome build
Super cool blind I need another boat for one of these 🤙🤙 awesome vid Elliott
This is the best duck boat that I have ever seen! Better than the scissor type by a mile.
That is the best boat blind design I have ever seen! Now I need to convince my wife that I need the same for my boat!
Looking good Capt 👍🦆
Great job on the boat I love it 🦆
Yea that looks really good !
I love the dog in the background doin it’s business at 8:15
Glad you are keeping bloody toe out there!
Good ole bloody toe!!!!
Good looking set up!
Thats a sweet setup.
Might have to build one like that for mine as well once I get around to finishing it up.
That's a heck of a blind. Hope he got a patent on that, because someone big is going to copy it....... Great video!
I really enjoyed the show great info
Amazing job!
Nice work, Eliot. I hunt out of a boat blind when I want to be comfortable. I don't hunt out of a boat blind when I want to kill ducks. We all have our preferences. I like seeing how other guys do it, too.
We’ll see how it goes. Gotta keep my dad in the marsh
I like the dog's comment at 8:13!
8:14 the dog pooping is great 😂😂
Really slick!
Here in Southern Ontario the nights are already getting cooler. ITS ALMOST THAT TIME
Yessir love that 10 degree weather headin to work in the morning, gonna smell like burnt gun powder before we know👍🏻
@@Shotguner absolutely
Man that looks good gives me an idea with mine I made a frame and used Camo Burlap not bad it worked but I want something better . Enjoyed it Elliot
thank you very great idea! I will definitely do the same.
I would love to see a more detailed video of this process
Wow that’s awesome
Wow awesome blind I have a avery quick set on mine and that looks much faster to set up than mine I think Charlie should start producing them things I would take one
Love this blind build! I think I’m gonna do a very similar build because of the simplicity of it! One question I have is how does it lock when raised? Seemed sturdy even without the strap. Was curious about that thanks! Keep up the great videos!
~Justin from Fur and feather outdoors
I love the look of that blind material. Where did you find that material at?
Big dump at 8:15
Awesome man. One suggestion is i would have went with aluminum but a solid design nonetheless
I used steel cause I could weld it and it's cheaper. Weight isn't a problem.
Hey Elliot, looks great! Where did you get the nylon material from? Looking to do the same on my boat blind.
Love the boat blind and wanting to build one trying to come up with a pattern and a functional one I like I like the way that one works I might have to copy that if you don't mind
Be my guest 😊
Awesome job on the boat!! If possible can you please get more info on the material used behind the camo? I am currently using tarps and they are very shiny/reflective and I want to replace them. Thanks
Can you post an update and a more in depth video of the layout? Thing seems legit!! Love the content.
If you drilled one more hole in the riser when it’s up, you could use a cotter pin on a wire to hold it up instead of the strap. Connect the wire to the swivel bolt and you would never lose it.
Honestly best blind idea I have seen. So easy and quick to set up. Trying to think how I could change it for use in my side console 1660 seaark. What size boat. Any chance he's got the specs or willing to sell them?!
Whoop!!
Should do the trick 💪🏻
I really like that blind. I think I will be building one like this now, and doing away with the old scissor blind.
What does the blind stop on as far as keeping the top from going to far and folding back down I know there's a strap to keep it up tight
Any chance you may know what kind of adjusters those are on the top bar that also help set the door height? Looking to do a build like this, but for the life of me I can’t figure out what type of part this is.
Where did you get the ghillie material from? Been looking for something like this for weeks.
What’s making the legs stop in that position is it friction from the bolt being tight or is there a locking mechanism that I’m just not seeing?
Looks like there is a tab by the back upright that sticks out and stops the upright.
@@Ratblood2003 thank u I’m trying to build this one myself and any help and tips I can get is awesome. This one of the better designs I have seen on utube in forever
Holy crap! I’ve been a rank amateur boat blind builder for 50 years. This guy Charlie is the real deal. Does he want investors?
You're welcome to build and sell all you want. If it's a success send me a bottle of whiskey.
@@charlesradford3811 do you remember what that vinyl material is and where you bought it from?
Love the set up what size square tubing did you guy's use and what was the cost at the end
Cool
Looks great. Like the idea compared to my hybrid scissor.
Nice to see John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors staying busy.....
Great looking blind, do you recall what camo pattern you chose? Yours looks like it would do well in my area.
I noticed on the rancho website they had a kayak blind that I think would fit well on my old town 119 sportsman.
Thank you
4 seasons
Hahaha at 8:15 in the upper left corner there is a major drop.
Please ask your friend what that nylon material is and where he got it from. I’ve been looking to do something similar and coming up empty handed. Thanks.
What camo netting brand did you use and what pattern
Where did you find the adjustment plates for adjusting the height of the doors?
where did you get the nylon and ghillie rolls?
Where can i find the adjustable cams? I want to build a blind like this as well
very cool gona love this deal outside materials to cover of blind????
ranchosafari.com
The dude should make these commercially....great design for sure.
Is it easy too remove during off season?
How does it attach to the boat?
Also how is it locking into place?
What height were the sides rails?
Do you know where I can buy this ghillie mat at?
Got any videos of your blind in action out hunting?
Do you have any wouldas couldas or shouldas?
I may do that.
I wore a headband while I was watching this.
I would like to come down from Wisconsin and have you put one on my boat is that a possibility
How much in materials roughly you think it was bud?
Where did you get the Ghille Mat from?? Looking to get some
www.ranchosafari.com
Where can you find the ghillie
You need to sit down and write up some in instruction on how to build it with Charlie
Where did you get the Ghillie mat from?
www.rachosafari.com The guy who runs it isnt very tech savy so be patient with him.
What did you guys use to lock the blind in the up right position
Rachet straps
So it’s just bolted to the top and bottom frame there’s no stops for the ratchet straps to pull against
where did you get that camo material
ranchosafari.com/
thanks
How much does this blind weigh
Where did you get the camp mat?
Ranchosafari.com
Buyer beware the customer service on that site is garbage
followed your link to the Ghille Blanket and got this "We are not taking any new orders due to inflation and staffing issues.
Thank you for your understanding." any othert sources? how has the boat worked out for you.
That's the only resource I know of. I'm not really into boat blind hunting. We put it on there because my dad is getting older and I want to try to get him out some. But we have only used it during teal season. It's a good blind, I just dont really use it much.
@Freelance Duck Hunting thanks for the info. Yeah I wander to see a video of you hunting from that blind and was not able to find one.
Here’s one
We Had The Whole Marsh to Ourselves! Duck Hunting 2022
czcams.com/video/JbzgBxRqwk0/video.html
Backwater Performance has a Ghillie blanket that is very similar
Where do I get the blind mat
The website that sold them is no longer active
Is that the Mud Buddy blind material?
No, got it from Ranchosafari.com
@@FreelanceDuckHunting I looked on the site and saw the Mud Buddy material, that’s why I asked.
what song and who sings the song that starts at the 3:45 mark? great song
Josh Garrels "Sleeper"
How much Charlie I'll drive up!
