I am fat so the only way to beat the track record was driving without brake not to loose speed. There are also two ways of drifting. #1 for Show, that's what most people do with lack of expirience. #2 to carrying as much speed as possible into & out of a corner. Slow in, fast out is only for beginners or track owners because he hate to buy expensive tyres.
This depends on the corner, but is true a lot of the time. Sometimes you want to carry as much speed as possible on a turn because other will slow down there andlose time but you reach the corner first
I'm trying to learn the concept of steering with the rear wheels. I find it really difficult. I either go straight or sliding like the guy in this clip
The thing about karts, specially the low power ones, is that the fastest way always is by maintaining the most momentum possible, this can be obtained by rotating the kart before a corner and accelerating before the apex, it needs a lot of technique to be done properly and when someone is starting and tries it out, they usually go wide and start to drift because of the countersteer. In karting, oversteering is fast, but it needs to be controlled. Rotating and drifting is different.
Drifting is a different sport to KARTING
You tellin' me I played all of that Mario Kart for nothing?
Drifting allows you to gain mini turbos so its actually better!! (Bikes are better than karts since you can wheelie!!)
Physics in karting does not let u win while deja vu-ing in races

Drifting is only fast when you know what drifting is(Most people call power sliding drifting) and how to initiate one without losing momentum
Also most electric indoor carts immediatly throttle down the power when you start to drift so you lose even more time!
Ive played too many kart racers, i already know you get a turbo booster after a drift.
This also depends on the surface used, wood or smooth cement floors actually benefit from you throwing the back out to get round a corner
Good advice bro!
I happened to go on a track, where drifting was the best way to get the best lap time out of final corner.
if you drift ,drift entering and exit at half of the angle so you get your car lined up enough to not loose speed

Did 5 awesome drifts in go cart 10 minutes ago and I feel happy
So I can't do it like Mario Kart or Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing?

A tactic i think is good is focus on the longer straight.
now everyone knows that you can make up the lost time by drifting with the mini turbo that charged up..
I searched up how to drift well in mariokart and this came up
