    I told a structural engineering company to let me intern with no pay and evaluate me after 6 months. I had no experience in this field, watching your videos helped me soo much? Now I’m hired and about to get a raise!

    Amazing! Just what I have been looking for!
    Also, do not delete the design options till the project has ended. Most clients have a tendency to jump back to other options at any given point of the project no matter how much progress has been made xD

      Exactly, everyone suddenly remembers the previous option, they're like, wait a minute, the old option was better than this experiment, some times it's just a waste of time imho.

    Btw how did you rotate the floor pattern so easily by selecting a line?

    Hello, I have a question: what if I starded to change my model in these 2 optionsm but then I want to have a third option. How can I assign the same elements to work on to the 3rd option? I can't select those element from the main model.

    problem is when adding rooms and for example making different facade designs, walls and rooms will start overlapping and revit will behave badly, as well as the inability to add certain categories to design options

    Hi, I'm new to revit. I have a question for you. Let's say I have a data outlet. You can write it manually for its height from the floor.It is not linked to wall. I attach it to the wall so that there is no gap. When there is an architectural revision, the wall slides and my element moves away from the wall. How can I see the all elements distance from the wall in a list? (There are about 2000 data sockets in the project) I don't want to look at the proximity of the wall in 3 dimensions one by one.I would be very happy if you could help...

    Thanks for this helpful video. I have only one question, is it somehow possible to see multiple design options at the same time without having to select them separately to see them. Sometimes you need to show clients several variants on one sheet. When a new sheet is created, only primary design options are displayed in it. Thanks in advance :)

  • @deniska0
    @deniska0 Před rokem

    This is a bit basic now.
    It would be good to show how to work rooms within design options as they can cause conflicts, so is the walls, doors windows can’t be copied over or anything that is can be hosted. It would be good to explain room schedule for different design options and how you set up printing sheets showing different design options. And how to delete redundant options while leaving chosen option

  • @kimmyz
    @kimmyz Před 2 lety

    So for the design options, it seems that you are using the same components, but just rearranging them. So when you delete the design options that are not chosen by the client, you are not deleting the components - just the unwanted arrangements? I assume also that the chosen design option would have editable components? Thanks in advance.

    can we turn off the greying out of non-primary options? exporting pdfs with correct graphics would be faster

    • @pendrick94
      @pendrick94 Před 2 lety +2

      For this, and to display the options as Alternates on a sheet you can go into the viewport created for your design option and open the Visibility Graphics panel.(be sure the "main model" is what is being viewed so theres no greying out) from there select the "Design Options" tab at the top, it will likely be set by default to automatic, select the drop-down and change this to your desired option you want to view. And hit apply. And there you have it, the design option should be shown without affecting any other views and without greying out your drawing.
