    This video shows you how to install rear drum brakes on your 2004-2012 Chevrolet Colorado. Even though they are an older technology, you still find drum brakes on the rear of many modern vehicles. Like disc brakes, the brake drum and shoes will wear down over time, requiring replacement.

    Great instructions but he makes it look so much easier than it really is. The e-brake cable is what makes it so much more difficult.

    This is a great video. But please for anyone watching with a 2009-2012 Colorado, you do not have this setup!!! Do not buy the kit from the link provided because it does not work for your years.

    I have a 2011 Colorado.
    Not the same brakes. Not sure if there wore different options.

    Without disconnecting the cable from the front it's near impossible to reinstall the cable to the shoe.
