Probably should not be owning a chainsaw.

just watching you crank it is kinda scary. After it spits the first time, take the choke off.

@ 12:00 talking about 40:1 v 50:1, you wondered why Craftsman didn't more oil, and that more oil would be good. 40:1 IS more oil, but you used LESS oil w/ 50 parts gas to 1 part oil

I'm glad I saw this. I'm filling much better about my purchase.
    Will be chopping today.
Ryobi well maybe it's not dangerous it can barely cut wood.

looks nice, from what i have found out about my one mine's 62cc and only got a 20" bar on it, you should be looking at around 4 to 1 or 3 to 1, cc to inch. so i'd say 18" is pushing it on that saw, would run better with a smaller bar on it!!

with that low profile safety chain it could pull 18 just fine, it came with the 18 lol. with regular full comp chain and rakers low sure would be doggy if you buried the say in 18 inch wood, but hes not doin that

Wonder if a 14" chain will work w/ it.

Watching you pull that chain like a girl hurt my soul alittle. Mine started in 1 pull

Now all you need is a simple muffler mod. Nothing to it really all you need is a dremel.

You claimed to be a Firewood Expert(Questionable)
I hope over the past 2years you have become more of a Chainsaw Expert..
*What burns up an Electric Chainsaw? :
    1) Chain To Tight - Wearing on the Bearings
    2) Dull Chain - Running wide open far to long due to Dull Chain not cutting properly.
    3) Forcing the chainsaw into the wood - Attempting to cut to Fast(usually with a dull chain)
*** These are also the same things that tear up a Gas Chainsaw.
    Gas Saw Notes:
Always set the Chain Brake when starting(Safety first!)
    Release Brake before Revving saw.
Always allow the Chainsaw to warm up - Piston expands faster than cylinder and damage can occur from Cold Cutting.
Always pull out your starter cord before shutting Chainsaw off ... 3"-6" is good. This saves on Recoil impact from motor.
Lastly - When the Chainsaw Pops on Cold Start - Open the Choke back up - it is ready to fire and run.
*I counted 6 pulls past the start point on your initial startup.
    Remember - Safety First
    Happy cutting

"Always set the Chain Brake when starting(Safety first!)"---read the manual, 'cause Black Max says have the chain brake OFF upon startup 'cause it runs wide open.

50 to 1 will give you more power

    • @brnrmbo4658

You're right. At least for awhile, if you run it hard on 50:1 it gets a bit hot and gets sluggish. 40:1 runs harder longer

50:1 and 40:1 is just the oil gas mixture has nothing to do with power just saying

At your use - if you bought 1 STILH chain saw you would have peak performance for a life time but instead you got several cheap ass crap chainsaws with shitty performance and you will end up buying more - I have used both - you have not - fancy = quality and long life
