i do not get why is it so hard to vote in America. I live on a Caribbean island. Here you are a citizen on the island you just get your invitation to go vote. the only thing the law says you must be a citizen 3 or 6 months before the voting day. you take you invitation and you ID and go vote. we do not need to register. and we are called a "banana republic" and yes every citizen has health care.

It’s time to update the rules of voting in America. They are so convoluted! For a federal election, there must be one set of rules that encompasses each state. The gerrymandering must stop. And there should be polling booths set up in each county according to population and access. It’s also time to revisit the electoral college issue and how relevant it is to today’s modern society. Election Day needs to be on the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday (or both?) and only one or two watch dogs from either party, so there is no voter intimidation.
