I tried my first gen with steam link, and it works flawlessly. I felt 0 input lag.
@BorkMemester - Haven’t tried steam link just remote play on Xbox and as long as that is tied to an Ethernet connection and you’ve got good WiFi the experience is great.
So happy we can keep case on. Definitely wouldn’t get it if it didn’t as these iphone 15s scratch so easily

Is this an mfi controller?
Do you have to take off the phone case when using the backbone 1st edition?
@rnicholsonca -Yes you do but on the second gen you don't have to.
Does it work with both PlayStation 5 and the Xbox series s with the same control or do you have to have two different controls for two different systems
@eduardojuarez-vp4fe - Yes one controller will work for both. You just need to have the remote play apps on your phone. The only difference between the PlayStation themed backbone controller is the buttons and color of the controller.

&dicksonaraujo - Yes they’re both the same just different colors.
I wished they made the PlayStation ones in different colors, but it looks like I’m gonna have to repaint ‘em
@thejfamily1930 - Color choices would be a nice addition for sure. Personally I think the black looks really good.
I think this controller is the best at least from iPhone 13 Pro Max and newer versions. I bought the razer kishi v2 and it does not fit with my iPhone 15 pro max due to de camera module 😢

Does it work with bulkier cases like uag?
@ridnirhossain2376 - Bulkier cases can be a tough call…really depends case to case but my guess would be no. My case is pretty slim in size and I can tell having a thicker one would make it difficult.

@ridnirhossain2376 Yeah that does suck, I was happy to see that at least some cases will work. Hopefully later down the road they can make one that’s even more compatible.

It doesn’t fit with an outer box.

Good for casual gaming but otherwise controls are a bit small and mobile phones screens are too small

I believe you have to have gen 1 with lighting

The backbone doesn’t have any built in gyro
0:27 there is no gen2 lightning version
@fjinzenji - When you’re at the purchase page you choose lightning or usb c, the first gen is only lightning.
Question is does it work with emulators

It works with delta
It also works with the psp emulator that came into the app store recently
What is this thing I hear about not buying backbone because you will have to pay for some subscriptions?
@TeacherBuster - Some people think the subscription is a must but it’s not. The controller functions without it but if you get the subscription you can use their app much like a hub that you find on Xbox and PlayStation.

@TeacherBuster - I’m not sure about gamesir but the backbone does allow it. Also lots of games have controller settings inside of them that can be tweaked.
