To understand the oportunity for Quiditch Champions you have to go back to the old school Voodoo 2 launch games where there was a 3d robot hockey game. That showed me that something like this Quiditch game might work.

Interestingly, the streaming rights for Ubisoft in the MS/Activision merger, does not include Europe or EEA specifically, the CMA in the UK could only secure everywhere else, likely due to the sour relationship the UK has with Europe at the moment 👍

Id be surprised if he actually plays much games at all. That's not a "he's not a gamer bro" and more like his age and family and listening to things he says. Again I'm not being a cynical asshole but just my opinion and I like Pach. I imagine he dabbles with a few games here and there but as far as in depth I kinda doubt it.

1:51:18 a few indiestudios and publishers cobtacted kotaku when the pricelist leaked and told them geoff has free slots for those non AAA games.

Joy Division has been in a load of games. Obviously the music games, but also GTAV, MGS, Tony Hawk 8 and Skate 3 to name a few. And New Order the same.
Also tell Marcus they have idiot mode in flight sim. Always has.

Xbox has the best show this year but I would give it a B- at best. This has to be the worst year I've seen from the industry in a long time.
How can you downplay the opportunity for Lego Horizon? I’m baffled!!! Those Lego games sell units!
PlayStation decided to cut off ps4 at Burning Shores but to make up those sales I think they’ve seen the opportunity to tap the Switches larger audience. I’m sure Lego also wanted more formats to sell to. They also don’t currently view the Switch as a direct competitor in power/demographic terms so they were like yeah let’s put it on there too! As strange as it is, business wise it makes sense imo.
On Microsoft. Yes the conference was great but people are acting like it was a total suprise!
They’ve basically shuffled through the last four/five years, initially bought a handful of studios whose games we still haven’t got and then spent near $100 billion on two of the industries biggest publishers … how can people not expect the best E3 show ever??? All of a sudden MS is the darling because of one conference.
Xbox haven't just been shuffling. They had a pretty good 2021, they were the highest rated publisher of that year. 2022 was a complete no show though in terms of anything major. But 2023 was strong again, except for Redfall obviously not being very good.
It's been a slow rebuilding of momentum that's just about reaching critical speed now.
