Any question that starts with "Will Nintendo sue...?" can always be answered in the affirmative.
Like they should just open an affiliate law firm at this point.

I like Pachter's answers but sometimes he's just so off the mark on these. Apple changed course on emulators after not allowing them for over a decade. You are right the emulator isn't illegal. But also much to the chagrin of nintendo nor are the files if it's a backup of a title you own. Which is why nintendo has largely gone after the ROM hosting sites vs the emulator creators.
However with the Yuzu lawsuit it's easy to read the headlines and think nintendo is going after every emulator. They aren't, Delta the emulator shown in the video has been in active development for years and been able to be sideloaded for also years so if they wanted to squash it they would have.
The context missing for the Yuzu situation is the fact that it was current gen nintendo emulation that nintendo can directly correlate to lost sales. Its really hard for nintendo to prove they are losing revenue on a gameboy game they don't actively have for sale/play anywhere.

There are 3 facts in life.
    1.) Death
    2.) Taxes
    3.) Getting sued by Nintendo

Yeah the won’t go after Apple on this. Apple just has the emulator on the store, not the files you may use on the emulator.
Nintendo will, and does, go after the sites where you get the emulation files from.
They have nothing they can do to Apple who’s just hosting the ability to download the emulator.

I've never owned an iPhone but what makes the emulators on the App Store different the ones in the Play Store?

Fundamentally nothing, they have just been allowed longer

Nothing. Pach is wrong in this instance. Nintendo can go after websites hosting emulation game files, but not Apple who is just hosting the emulator with no files in it.

They are backwards for thinking they are a hardwar company? Hmm...if the Switch goes on to become the best selling console ever, then I'm not sure how backwards they are being lol.

They are both as both work together. But the software sells the hardware for Nintendo, not the other way around.
Nintendo games would sell like hotcakes on any platform, but you need theirs to play them.

@@Rockondevil And I struggle to see how that is backwards lol.

    Nintendo sue Apple?
Hahahaha...you obviously don't know Nintendo. They only sue people who can't fight back.
