    1966 Ford Galaxie 500
    VIN: 6P66X183693
Talk about a full-blown professional restoration taken to the next level, this Galxie had a spa day and got itself treated with a bunch of new parts and vital servicing!
This Galaxie was treated to a full-blown professional restoration. The car has been stored in a climate-controlled environment and driven about 200 miles since restoration, that's it! The car was stripped down to the frame and shell only, and then from that point the body was sanded down and repainted in base coat/clear coat, color sanded, buffed, and polished to a high luster. The frame was stripped and epoxy painted along with the floor and trunk pans.
Then, the transmission was flushed out, front and rear seals replaced, pan gasket and filter were added and finally new fluids. The chassis had the complete front end rebuilt; four new gas shocks were added, new springs, a front disc brake conversion kit and rear drums turned with all new mechanicals and wheel cylinders. To conclude, the body was reassembled using an all-new weather molding kit.
A photo album of the restoration and receipt for parts are included in the sale.

Great car. The interior is totally original with its optional all vinyl seat trim. The 352 4V V8 was rated at 250 horsepower in 66. The 390 4V V8 was rated at 300. The extra chrome accents on the grille, the hood and the rear rocker panel enhances the car's appearance. The wheels of course are not original to the car but they look good on the vehicle. I was around and collected brochures and price lists of 66 Ford's and their options. This car most likely had a bottom line MSRP with options of about $3475.
