Never ceases to amaze me of how sure people are of laws that dont exist
She reads her laws in Jackie magazine.
Poor girl. I suspect she was forced into this embarrassing position by her manager. She would have a valid employment tribunal claim against her employer for putting her into a position where she was publicly embarrassed as she spouted her incompetent manager's views an opinions about what is allowed and not.
she’s the incompetent one dude, like all millennials
Yeah ngl I feel a bit bad for her watching (not finished) but it is what it is
Don’t come out into public spouting things you don’t understand to people who do understand while they know they’re filming - seems logical to me
Best advice is to remain inside or come out and enquire nicely to find out what’s going on and then leave when you’re given a reasonable answer - any concerns ring 101 for advice, no emergency here
If I went up to someone stood outside drinking coffee looking at my building and told them I was concerned they were drinking coffee looking at my building, they’d laugh at me - if I rang the police, they’d do me for wasting their time
Ignorance of the law apparently isn’t a valid defence unless you’re a copper…
Edit: oh, she’s security - thought she was a normal employee, no excuses and no longer feel bad 😂
You realise milenials are in their 40s now.....as usual its gen z once again......people thinking millenial means born on the millenium when its not....
Yeah ...manager no balls ...sending out & hiding behind staff
It’s sad but …… what can we do 😓. 🧠💪💚

she was pathetic.

Girl needed a job, this was available and pay was better than stacking shelves so she took the "I can do that" approach
That guy at the end was really helpful wasn't he. "What's in there [Train Yard]"..."Train stuff"...🤣.
Poor girl was so nervous and definitely freezing cold. Probably sent out by some boss guy who set her up with fake laws!
Her voice rambling and giggling what the F ! I’ve never seen anything like this interaction before. The air space isn’t private FFS ps: don’t talk to her while you’re piloting the drone…..
ye i know wtf did she kept laughing fcking annoying lol its like a nervous laugh
This is probably what 4 years at a British University does to people.
No men available so they send the office gal out to bear the brunt...🙄

You can tell she was a bag of nerves with the silly laughing bless her she tried her best
Can't tell you how much I am enjoying the railway content.
Loved the look over the heritage railway stuff here.
you shouldnt be talking to them when in control of a drone and they shouldnt be talking to you
Bloke at the end seems to have been on the wacky 😂
Good video DJE. It is quite amazing that so many of the public think they are legal experts on drone flying and public photography. Perhaps that’s why the rest of the world perceives the UK as the most intelligent country with the most educated people.
100% true
You keep losing sight of the drone , it’s a rule that cannot be broken , do not lose track because of distractions.
That guy is regularly breaking drone rules. He definetely operates his UAS outside VLOS.
@@theempirestrikesback2939 There was a drone cop that spoke to him about vlos recently on a live premiere, i got shit in the chat for saying the police was in the right there. this guy puts a bad name on auditors and drone flyers. flys too low, is constantly distracted. seems he didnt learn his lesson by getting warned off that police.
@@dnmkcy It is just about making money , provocation and getting attention for him.
I'm quite amused that British authorities allow such strange behaviour. In Germany breaking drone rule in such a manner already had taken him to court.
She was nice, not pushy or making threats, it's rare to see someone keep it together like that.
DB Rail is a government site.
Deutshe Bahn is owned by the government.
The GERMAN government.
Hell, no way, a German government-owned railway system is owned by the German government? wow totally mind-blown.
At least you're not speaking German right?! And diversity!
This will show the geek in me but in 1989 me and my dad took a steam train called the Derby Evening Telegraph Expresss from Derby to Didcot to see the museum. It was hauled by the engine Bahamas.
I hope the weirdo at the end isn't controlling trains
Watch the video and she tells you.
probably a manager
Great to see the old chocolate and cream AEC railcar (nicknamed flying bananas) in the shed by the traverser. I believe there are only 3 left in preservation from about 40ish produced. They were built in the 1930's and 40's and worked main and branchline duties into the 60's carrying passengers and parcels and were sometimes used with a coach. The latter ones did about 80mph.
DB is Deutsche Bahn the German national railway that later rebranded as DB Schenker and then DB Cargo UK. They bought out EWS (English, Welsh & Scottish) and progressed from there. I believe some of their old class 66 locos still have the EWS livery. There was a class 60 and class 08 in EWS livery at St Blazey depot in Cornwall until a few years ago but I've not been there lately to check. They are/were used for the Imerys (previously English China Clays or ECC) kaolin (china clay), ball clay, and other minerals movement around St Austell and beyond.
As a seperate piece of information, the engine drivers on certain Cornish routes receive extra training because some of the branchlines still use the old semaphore signaling. It's a land lost in time.
Interesting video, DJE. I imagine the Signalling Centre building is very secure because it's full of electronic equipment, servers, etc. I believe many railway signals and traffic sequencing are now maintained by automatic computer-controlled systems.
Thank you thank you C-man this was great I didn't feel dirty and that poor girl never lost her job/marbles dealing with "the situation" :D Big Up's! I'm loving the trains too..anything half interesting is cool with you and a drone on site haha but seriously tho it really helps people like myself that don't get out for whatever reason to still enjoy the outdoors in a spectacular manner imho. Love n Peas.
She is a giggly little girl. She's doing her best. Don't occupy her time too much. There's TV shows to watch and it's a little bit cold outside.
I wonder how they would react if you told them "I'm making a 360 photo for google maps", which would not be untrue
If they do not want drone flying over they can try and request a no fly zone, they might get lucky but I doubt it.
So glad you dropped on my feed Its been years since I visited the Dicot Museum and seeing it from above its Fantastic ❤
Enjoyed the drone footage of the rail intersection and above the museum. Having often driven along the road that passes Didcot Parkway I had no idea of the extent of the network. It was unfortunate to have the interruption from the confused lady. Thank you.
That is the CEO for The Railways of the United Kingdom.
Absolutely love it when they ask you o you mind….the answer is No.
freight yards are good to see ... it shows how they work
Well on a brighter note you stopped her eating for a few minutes.
That's an act of altruism right there.
Rude🤣
She thought Category 5 was a chocolate brand.
She was polite and didn’t press the issue…good for her….this is what happens when you employ British born security instead of the usual foreign security guards we see regularly who end up being rude…that girl is a credit to her company
I'd rather give the serious foreign guys the security job, than the giggles 😅
I've seen plenty of angry bloated gammon as security guards on DJ's videos
Can I ask how you know the woman was British born?
She had a skin colour he approved of.@@Hits1791
yeah exactly , she seemed a nice person just a bit nervous , kudos.
DJE has gone off the rail 😎
lol
No love you don't HAVE to call the Police. What you need to do is actually learn the law, apply 4 seconds of critical thinking and frankly, just sod off. Terms like "Government building" (it's not), "Category 5 site"(WTF?), "private property" (I thought you said it was government!), "Breaching security" have absolutely no meaning in the context of that conversation except an attempt to gain some authority over a member of the public, in public by using bu11shit!
Undoubtedly 100% correct.
"It's like you climbed the fence." "Things you weren't mean to see."
What's with the constant questions while flying. I keep thinking you'll find three windows then ask us: "Which window shall we look through today?"
He shouldn't even talk to her while flying, but this guy has a hard time learning.
The windows were blanked out he said .
Great video, brilliant images and commentary. To be fair the security lady was quite sweet
she may be smiling but she is not happy
Its amazing how little things upset people If 50 muslims started praying a waling out side

If I were in control of a signal service for the railway I would want it secure in a building as just having it in the open for anyone to come and play with could be a disaster, like air traffic control.
I have most respect for auditors, they do a great job, but DJE does seem to fly in an unsafe manner on many occasions. The speed at which the drone is moving at low altitude along the building, gimbal pointing down, out of line of sight, that was dangerous. You wouldn't see a telephone line or similar, gets wrapped up, falls on mate walking down the path then CAA uses this as a reason to put more restrictions in place. Tidy up DJE! You have the potential to be a great auditor, but your flying is letting you down.
First Lady ... "O'h...o'h ...giving you the 'Side eye'
Yay! unhinged chicks in positions of responsibility or power. 😃 Great idea
Looks like ballast for when they change stone between the sleepers so they’re removing all the contaminated stone which might be contaminated with grease from rolling stock and thereby be a potential fire hazard.
19:20 MMMM-Monster Kill! Yep you tried your best to bait that guy, fumbling for the prop camera. And completely failed to get the reaction you looked for.
Interesting how you both must still watch his videos though 😂

Nervously giggling when trying to be in authority.
Girl fell in love and couldn't stop giggling
Keep strong 💪🧠 I used to live in Oxford ish 🎯 well went to a college there 🧐😂. Njfd
Great Drone shots
As a signalling centre I would imagine it to be quite secure , could you imagine the damage one could do if one got in there ???
They don't want you to know Thomas and friends are inside 😂😂😂
I enjoy the drone visits to interesting sites.
its the Network Rail Signalling Centre controlling trains over a wide area and is security sensitive premises.
14:21 no it’s nothing like climbing the fences and roaming around. He is physically standing outside of the property !!!
Your videos of railway premises and railway lines are most interesting 👍
Surprised you'd not heard of them, I'm fairly sure they're the one of the biggest rail freight companies in the UK & Europe. They have a terminal in Warrington too.
I don't mind your videos because you don't go out of your way to be rude or wind people up.
How bizarre, she said why not just look at it on google 😂 does she not realise how absurd that is, you can’t fly over and look but you can use google who flew over, to look 😂😂😂😂
@@mikeel6074 They don't, as you zoom in it switches to aerial photos.
Can't believe how many amateur air traffic controllers there are. Unreal
I've heard the guy at the end is a barrel of laughs down the pub😂
Ok...just for that im going to stay here and video everything and everything i want...in fact im going tobring the drone down and change the battery and send it up again
Didcot steam heritage center . Museum. In the triangle you filmsd . The GWR railway heritage center the big red diesel pulling 100 ton wagons with ballast.
Its got many millions of pounds of equipment in it. That all
It is in Didcot but it's the Thames Valley Signalling Centre (TVSC). There used to be biggish Signal Boxes in Slough, Reading, Swindon etc & these have all been amalgamated into this single building. It's secure because they control the Great Western Railway from within.
DB IS GERMAN RAILWAYS !
My friend dog might be working for DB railway or network rail
She was very nervous. Just repeating what she has been told. So has no background knowledge to back up her statements. Hung out to dry by management. Poor girl just trusting that the management knew what they were talking about.
He's not on site ..so chill
She didn't say much at just giggling and that wasant she 😂lol
Poor lass way out her depth, nice and very polite though.
Swindon IECC, intergrated electronic control centre.

Closed down years ago, swindon panel hasn't existed since 2016.
@@nigelbrown6382Its now part od the Thames Valley signalling centre based in didcot. Didcot has its own Workstation that controls didcot, swindon has its own workstation. so does bristol and oxford.
It's Thames Valley ROC, Swindon IECC closed years ago.
Excellent video. Fools need to be held accountable. I actually felt sorry for her, but sympathy is something certain people try to use as a way of influencing considerate people. Am glad the auditor here could see through her plastic exterior.
They need a secure building to keep the money safe from over priced tickets.
She seemed really sound and non confrontational - just doing her job. Drone laws are probably not in the security course. She just got her signals crossed but was on the right track. She got a free train-ing session and got to let off some steam 8]
Yoo I live in Didcot I’ve only been here for a year I didn’t know there was a signalling site here haha
Wow. She's a security guard😮
No badge on display.
At 50 seconds in, you heard a train and said “I didn’t know there was even a line there” then sent the drone straight up, where again you said you didn’t know there was a line there, where were your pre flight checks? Would Drone assist etc not have made you aware of the line/hazard?
What i heard was not that line.
Still, would a check on Drone assist etc make you aware that there was a line there? and when the drone went up you headed straight for the running engine on that line. No other visible engines running.
Observe and Report, then call police if so ordered...so easy to learn and 'report'!
She's pleasantly plump.👓❤
LOS... i doubt you had the drone in sight at all times...big no no ...
Eventually a law will be brought in to say that you can't fly over private property.
I have to agree that sunset is just beautiful.
She really didn’t want to be out there did she ?
hey thanks saw my bookers warehouse
DJE... you know you can change the mini map in the bottom left of your screen to show which way your drone is facing to your position don't you ??? press the mini map + Attitude Indicator & Compass icon in bottom right of mini map.
I feel sorry for her. She was clearly very nervous
21:24 "Train stuff" 😅
Great vid, but what like was the sunset??
Broader scope 365 check the rubbish bags for any documentation that might give you a clue it's outside their secure site which is unlocked dumpster diving
And you are sure flying in VLOS ?
And also without a spotter

I feel sorry for her she was so uncomfortable and didn't want to be in this position
A chatty interaction but it may be wise to ask her to not interrupt your piloting as a distraction could be an offence. Good drone footage.
Talking to her and loosing sight of drone it’s not good idea.
