A visit to Teppanyaki Plaisir in Kobe to have A5 Kobe Beef sirloin steak and a cheaper Wagyu round steak, which surprisingly generates more pleasure than the more expensive cut -

This is part of the experience. Some people pay the fee specifically for the theater of the cooking. It adds very little to end end product, but the sounds and interactions create an almost asmr response. It's definitely not for everyone. In fact many westerners find the whole experience grating. Hence why these restaurants are typically in Asian country's.
