When I did Roadside Assist. I had a WH Stateman with the same dilemma, and the Owner was not to keen on "Forcing" the lock. This is how I tackled the issue: 1) Jacked up front left side and removed Wheel. 2) Flared out the Starter Motor "Heat Shield" to access the wiring connection on the Solenoid. 3) Attached the + Poitive Jumper Clamp to the Solenoid, and the - Negative Clamp to the Block. I used a "Spare Battery" to provide power. 4) Owner hit the Remote.... All door unlocked. 5) Disconnected the Clamps, Reattached Starter Motor Wires, Folded Heat Shield back into shape, Remounted Tyre and replaced the Dead Battery...
I have managed to unlock it as per video. But the door lock didn't go up. But could open the door. Do I have to jump start the car to get it going and to activate the doors to open up again?
Had this happen to my Holden Adventra, if you have a wagon use the key to open the tailgate, it sets of the alarms but then crawl thru and put the key in the ignition and/or if your battery is dead at least you can open the bonnet. I didn’t know this key trick, if it happens again I do the door first.
My Vy locked then wouldn’t unlock dk why ahah but you saved me from having to smash a window thanks god did that trick n it’s working fine just had a moment i guess 😅😅
Too bad the gate on my keyhole is jammed shut. Tried some WD, but didn't make a difference. Even considered mixing up some Ed's red and giving that a go, but idk if I'll damage anything doing it that way. Wouldn't be a drama if the VZ Calais had more that one keyhole
@@yerher-ig5yw the barrel of the door lock was crooked, so was able to pop that back into position with a flathead screwdriver and unlock the door with the key. It was still deadlocked but it still unlocked from the key, just needed to use a bit more force when turning it (not too much force tho)
You are a life saver thank you so much! So my actual door is slightly uneven so I pressed against the door whilst turning the key and I heard a metal grinding noise as it turned and unlocked from dead locked.! 🙌🏼👏🏽
Yeah I did this accidentally today. Deadlocked my car (which I didn't even know about). Tried to unlock but could only insert key. But then the car alarm went off. Can you deadlock a car WITHOUT the alarm going off
To my knowledge you can't stop it from going off. The purpose of the deadlock is basically to prevent manual unlocking, so when you turn the key to manually unlock it, it thinks it's being broken into.
I bent my main key slightly trying this. Not too badly. I tried my spare key, I held the pressure on for a few seconds and eventually it worked. Cheers! I did notice that it didnt open the lock though?

Try to open bonet with strong rod the spring will release it and you can start by charging battery or replace it, I did the same...
