Modding it out indeed!! Thanks for posting vids up of the VP. Definitely has more bass sounding to it for sure. Can’t wait to get mine here soon. 🤘✌️
Steady moddin' brah. You might wanna consider these my man.
"Thuddier" 😁 Another great vid Scan. I'm sure you're enjoying this V-Pin bro.
LMFAO! Scantonian brah.
Scan, great vid man!!!! Can't wait to see what's next!!!!!! Waiting for the next Friday LiVE!!!!!
I notice more of a TWACKIER sound for sure!!! Very cool flipper modification! Scan is da man!!! Peace homie!
It's all about that THWACK, homie!
Nice upgrade video😃I’m tinkering with my arcade for a while to😁
Looks good. Gotta figure mine out, did something that caused all solenoids, shaker, knocker, led lights (all DOF) to stop working in gameplay. Different builder than yours but they all pretty much use same software
Daaayyyumn… that sucks man. When you get it back up and running, these bad boys are definitely worth looking into.
After having them a while do you still recommend them? I already have a working 24v Siemens set so no rush to replace but these did catch my eye a few months back. I love they have more force and less prone to locking up but would you recommend them for a 10 contractor setup? Just the slingshots, just the flippers, etc? Sound and speed wise they may not be a top pick for crazy pop up bumpers. Thought about getting two for my flippers but on the fence.
Honestly man, it's all personal preference. Yes, I still like the ones that I have for my flippers. I prefer the starter solenoids for the rest of the slings and bumpers.
I noticed you have other solenoids installed. Are these mainly utilized for flipper or you could in theory substitute all for thunderclaps?
They are used for bumpers, slings, etc. And yes, some people swap all of them out for Thunderclaps.
I've just bought a machine but it doesn't have feedaback 😢 how easy is it for a newbie to add themselves? How does each solenoid receive it's trigger to fire from a game on a pc?
Lmao "no Larson" before the first minute
Lmfao
Are you still using the original micro leaf flippers that came with the vpin. Some owners are changing to gold leaf flippers to improve on trick shots.
Yes, I'm still using the original.
You've convinced me
You should check out my updated video with the contactors versus the sw3 solenoids. In my opinion, the sw3 solenoids are the best for flipper feedback hands down. They beat the thunderclaps by miles.
@@Scantron5k Dude thank you for the response. I watched that video and I can get on board with that. I haven't started building mine yet but 1/4 the price is fantastic. Do you recommend them just for the flippers or should I go with them for the whole cabinet?
@@mastrtonberry2 yep, I've seen them used on the whole cabinet as well.
I wonder how long those 3d printed plastics will last
I ended up getting rid of the Thunderclaps. I have another video on my channel comparing them to the sw3 solenoids. The solenoids blow them out of the water.
Thunderclap, I like the sound when pressing......CLUNK!!!!
THWACK!
Aaaaaaaand Doghouse Arcade is out of business.
I have a new flipper mod video using a 12v solenoid against the thunderclaps. Solenoid wins hands down. Fraction of the cost.
What up D THOMAS
Just when I swore I was done fucking with my Ultra on the hardware side you come along with this video, thanks dick.... kidding, this mod fixes my lack of love for the flipper contractors, placing an order
Tomorrow, thanks for the video!
LMFAO! Bro, it never ends. Well worth the upgrade. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.
Lol no hate here. Next dive into the software. Spent the last 2 weeks trying to perfect SSF on my top 30 tables. Editing the SSF volume in the script and importing the best sound files from one table to the ones that have weak SSF. There’s my free tip on your next video, it’s a game changer for getting the most out of Visual Pinball on the Ultra
@@LoQProductions word bro. I'm the same way, can't keep my hands off of it. I'm constantly modding my shit. Thanks for the heads up on the ssf, homie.
