The British invaded Ethiopia and carried away everything in that country .Every African leaders that tried was murdered, Meles Zenawi, John Magufuli , Thomas Sankara Gamal Nasal of Egypt .Why are there so many terrorists and terrorism in Africa ,these things don't just happen they are plan to prevent development.

      Also the lack of knowledge. Knowledge is power. Colonization delays the progress of a nation of people. Colonization creates more focus on daily survival than reaping the benefits of progress.

    What do you mean by colonialism didn't contribute to Africa's poverty? Colonialism is the main reason why Africa is poor. When one looks at the educational and political systems, the colonial masters left behind in Africa, Africa can not develop unless it shears all colonial systems on the continent. You can not compare Africa to China and Singapore. These countries were not divided like Africa was. How do you develop when your continent has been demarcated by language? You people presenting your opinion should do proper research and stop comparing apples to oranges.

    • @tonywilson9950
      @tonywilson9950 Před 27 dny

      Clearly you have no idea about the language issue. In South Africa we have 11 different languages give pre carve up colonisation how do you communicate?

    • @_anointed-1_
      @_anointed-1_ Před 27 dny +1

      Don’t compare to China’s prison population same for Singapore execution rates. They’re all incarcerating people in their countries.

    • @bissy8172
      @bissy8172 Před 27 dny +2

      @tonywilson9950 What are you implying here! Did you really understand my statement well. What I meant was the artificial language barriers created on the continent after the Europeans created the artificial boundaries.

    • @tonywilson9950
      @tonywilson9950 Před 27 dny

      @@bissy8172 Your assumptions was these artificial language barriers kept the Africans undeveloped. My point was that Africans do not have common shared language, indeed those European languages those imposed on them serve to unite with a common language. More to the point, due to racism in Malaya against the Chinese Singapore went independent. Now one other problem what about the Asian colonisation? You have forgotten but Arabic is not an African language

    • @bissy8172
      @bissy8172 Před 25 dny +1

      @tonywilson9950 You are not making sense. I think you have to do a proper research starting from the Berlin conference to understand why Africa is in the state that it is in now.

Why? let's not fool ourselves Africa is the toast of numerous others and we have that burden because in every step our so-called friends are sticking the knife in to cut, to remove, to slice, to stab, to pierce and list goes on. We must join together and fight like Trojans to prevent losing our blessings like many around us. Let's begin today to build and create that unit.

    You are all over the place on this one Evans, Emperor Haile Selassie was NOT a Communist and being from Jamaica I know that for a fact. I have relatives who are Rasta’s. Mengistu Mariam was the Communist who overthrew the Emperor. The rest of what you said, it would take 4 chapters for me to explain. The three books you should read are authored by the great Guyanese and Pan-Africanist Prof. Walter Rodney. Africa needs to come up with a system that will work for Africa and diaspora. I have not seen or read anything pertaining to that issue, all I’m hearing is that we should unite, then do what? 1❤1🌍1🫀There’s always a way out.🇯🇲

    What we need is technology not PhDs at the moment. Poverty in Africa is because we lack the basic technological knowhow to transmute our theories into practical usefulness .Another missing link is our inability to be honest and organized to enable us to unleash our full potential so as to reach our goals and objectives with little or no aid from the West. We're being fooled by the West with useless PhDs that has nailed us and our potential to the ground, way too long... proficiency in English can't make us white people if that's why we speak English so much. What we need is the practical usefulness of theories not grandloquency in an exotic language. It only aids to promote English language but doesn't promote our ethnic languages let alone the importation of the necessary technological skills we need to set up our collective technology on the right part to prosperity.

A person will loose they home and have a car and phone. The Jews were paid. The Indians received reparations. The Japanese received reparations. Why not Africa????? I understand where she's coming from; yes making the economic environment business friendly is essential; however, she is not in touch with reality. Africa is under colonization at this present. Africa is still divided by lines that were drawn by the colonists. The world bank and the imf have been designed to keep Africa poor. Multinational corporations are extracting raw materials for their corporations in the west. Any African leader who plan to disrupt the movement of natural resources from the continent is hunted like an animal by the west and their European allies and assimilated him. The world bank is usually the advisor to countries they give loans to and their advice is always not good for the country and they always let the elites off the hook and place the economic burden on the poor; the west will dictate high interest rates which discourages borrowing - the world bank/ imf will instruct governments not to provide free education; some countries will struggle to pay their debt; some countries have to pay 75% to 85% on interest rates to service their loans; what that leave countries with? 15 to 25 % of their GDP to operate on. True, Africa is extremely rich - Africa does not need the world but the world needs Africa. Africa needs to isolate itself from those who are plotting evil against her. Abandon world bank / imf loans; only form partnerships with those who are willing to form mutual agreements where it's win win for respective countries. This woman is in denial; she is educated in western countries; she grew up in a different culture and it has given her a different perspective; it is good that she's able to identify problems that make it difficult to start a business in Africa but to say that poverty is not link to colonialism is denying the reality of resources being taken every day because African puppet leaders signed contracts with the west for a certain number of years to steal the resources and at the same time, the world bank dictates interest rates in most African countries. They mild zGadafi because Libya did not owe the world bank or imf anything; Libya was free from colonial powers. ; they killed stole and plundered. This woman is loved by the west because she's covering up their crimes in Africa.

      I do think she grossly underestimates the full impact of colonization and how the West has toyed with people's minds and self-esteem. However, I think sometimes we need persectives like hers because she is giving a call to action that Africa can stand up. And I hope they do, and I hope they close the border to the evil countries that have only sought to exploit.

    No disrespect, but did anybody look up what she said? Singapore's GDP is only 466.8 Billion. The UK's British GDP is 3.089 TRILLION DOLLARS!. GDP stands for Gross, Domestic, Product. West African nations are Poor cause of colonialism. Second, saying to let in Free Markets is exactly why Africa is poor. I am sorry you have to do your research or you will get used by villains. Paul Romer works for the World Bank. The World Bank was Made by the West to make African nations borrow money they can't pay back. When African nations don't pay back their loans, they tell African nations to increase taxes on the poor. Close down schools, and stop public infrastructure projects. I can prove this from a book called "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man". Last the CCP, is who made China rich. That stands for the Chinese Communist Party. CHINA has a GDP of 17.96 Trillion. Far more than the UK. Why are you relaying words foolishly without doing basic elementary research? Please stop making content, and instead focus on creating thoughtful commentaries. You are being used. Charter Cities are literally Neocolonialism, they turn over their power to more developed Nations. It's literally the first thing they preach. You have to do your homework.
