@6:00 onwards You can hear with the DT880 a clap with what sounds like a tambourine type sound on top in the high end. Switch to the HD600... completely gone. THAT'S why you would want the DT880 to know what's happening up there. Listening on DT990 Pro 250 ohm by the way.

Really a great job. Thank you! They are all very good, but hearing the segment of Dvorak's Symphony Number 9 on the HD600's told me everything I wanted to know. It is one of my worn out, but treasured favorites over many years, I was a performer on tour in Europe with a symphony orchestra on that piece, and the HD600's came closest to the right, most pleasing sound to my ear. Thanks, again. Keep up the great work, and All the Best!

Wow I didn’t expect the dt880 is so well separated and the sense of space. It’s like music in the room rather over the ears. It’s a bit too crisp at some point but its very good.

@@gucky4717 To a degree yes- but in general some cans are flat out superior to others. After doing a lot demos, I wasn't super impressed with any sub $300 cans. Most lacked bass. I ended up buying the V-Moda Crossfade M-100. You should have a listen to these. For the $, IMO anyway, it's hard to find better. Clear highs and detailed mids- and very decent bass! Great for guitar and backing tracks- very versatile. If you're lucky, you might also be able to pick up a lightly used pair on Ebay. For ~$1xx something used- you definitely can't beat them. They are built like a tank as well.

@@gucky4717 I have both HD 650 and DT 880 Pro and can say that sure, sometimes you wish there was bit more treble on HD 650, but HD 650 treble is safe, it never overdoes it while DT 880 can sound extremely harsh in some recordings... Also, while 880 has better highs (if the music is well mastered) and also better sub bass, HD 650 is not as far as you might think... And HD 650 has much superior mid range. When listening to any CZcams videos I'd much rather use HD 650 cause vocals never sound harsh on it, on DT 880 even some CZcams videos are nasty to listen to because some people's mics or simply the way they pronounce S makes it sound sibilant. Overall, HD 650 is the better headphone because it does nothing wrong and is overall more detailed due to its better mid range detail. Also in games, it kind of depends, but I find HD 650 to be more detailed honestly, and just more natural sounding overall. Sometimes the treble is indeed bit veiled, but mostly a good kind of veil that reduces the harshness... Compared to say DT 1770, HD 650 has better treble still. On that headphone treble was completely rolled off and had a few sudden nasty spikes at same time.
TLDR; HD 650 is better because it really does nothing wrong and can do everything relatively well except sub bass, while DT 880 is more genre specific. DT 880 excels in instrumental music, but on vocals its vastly inferior to HD 650. Flat sound may seem bad thing, until you get used to it and start appreciating the natural sound of it over exaggerated highs and lows so many other headphones do.

@@gucky4717 Because the demo sounds more muffled / dark than in real life listening, i can confirm it easily because i listened most headphones which has sound demos on this channel. DT880 is the brightest one between all of them, HD600 is the most neutral and natural sounding one also the most transparent and closest to the original recording without any coloration but it sounded just muffled / veiled / dark in the demos which is opposite in person like i said... You can confirm that yourself by taking a look at the sound demo and recording tests from Oluv's Gadgets channel, he recorded the music through an HD600 and recorded the recording again with the HD600, there is no any coloration or sound difference between the original recording file and recording of a recording of the HD600 itself... HD650 / 6XX or 660S is really veiled and muffled / dark sounding cans but HD600 is simply very different headphone from all other Senns including overly and unnaturally bright HD800 series... I just wanted to say just don't make your decision before you actually hear the HD600 in person, you will get what i'm trying to say... Also don't forget to listen them with new geniune Sennheiser HD600 pads, any wearing on the pad will make HUGE difference in sound of the HD600 lineup. It can sound more relaxed / laid back and without that much energy in treble area with weared pads also the subbass will gone if the pads are weared badly. Subbass is clearly audible and more than enough with new pads if you want neutral tuning.

To me, AKG sounds the best, don't know really about the naturalness of the sound (I am a novice). I find the treble extremely sweet (not dark but musical) as compared to others in this demo. HD600 have that thump. But I did not like the vocals which is surprising considering how well praised they are for that; they sounded boxy to me and did not have that sparkle l was looking for. DT880 was in was a bit weird, just did not sound very cohesive with all the instruments like in AKG despite its huge soundstage.

Everything is left or right and there's very little going on to the front and middle. I really liked the k701 on some songs like the techno tune, but they sounded a little strange to me on others and they drove the female vocal straight through my brain like a nail gun ...not pleasant at all.
