  • My secret homemade baked vegan cheesecake recipe, made with vegan cream cheese! This vegan cheesecake recipe is so so so delicious and you can easily make it at home. I promise you will love it!

    Vegan baked cheesecake
    Ingredients
    2 1/2 cups cubed (400g) tofu firm
    2 cups (450g) vegan cream cheese
    1/2 cup vegan sour cream 103g
    1 1/4 cup vegan milk 285 ml
    4 tbsp vegan butter
    1 1/3 cups (310g) sugar (use less if desired. Just taste the batter to see how sweet you want it.)
    4 tbsp Cornstarch
    4 tbsp all purpose flour
    2 tbsp vanilla extract
    4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    Crust
    7 tbsp vegan butter
    300g crushed gram crackers (2 3/4 cups)

    that bite proved the texture was on point to traditional cheesecake- and the shot of the interior did as well! when i hit 35yo my bod decided she didn't do dairy anymore, so i've been in a terrible cheesecake void world now for 9 yrs...but no more ;p thank you so, so much for sharing this Irene- my north carolina kitchen is excited about this new imported recipe!

    I'm commenting while eating it and let me tell you: it DOES taste like the non-vegan version and I've tried tons of vegan cheesecake! Thank you so much for this recipe, it's incredible. I made the same crust but used the filling as a guide (bc I didn't have any vegan cream cheese so I put silken tofu instead) and it's genius !! Thank you again❤

    Hi, thanks for sharing. Can we reduce the sugar or replace with maple syrup? 310g of sugar is quite a lot!

    So I’m waiting for my cheesecake now. I’m gonna blame it on me, but the recipe seemed to yield a lot. I don’t know what I did wrong. Luckily since I wasn’t using a springform, I just used a larger baking pan. I also added pumpkin purée and pumpkin pie seasoning, but this was after I realized it was huge. Lol. Now I can’t really tell how long to bake it. I’m waiting to see some dark spots, so far I’m at an hour….hopefully I don’t mess this up. I do have a back up thanksgiving pie.
    Update: it seems to have hardened. Can’t wait to try it. For any newbies, it’s only kinda hard on the edges, and the middle is still runny. It’s important to refrigerate overnight. Seems to be the trick.

      Hey, honey! Go glad you tried this recipe! It shouldn't be runny in the middle, just a little soft but not runny. I haven't tried adding any pumpkin puree but the pumpkin puree would definitely make it more loose especially in the middle! Hope you enjoyed it either way Zaida! Much love to you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

      @@Ireneathanasiou thank you. I did. And you’re right, I should’ve waited longer. It was more like a pudding lol. Still ate it though. I’m thinking about freezing it, since there was so much left over, maybe in individual cup to eat that way. Thanks for the recipe =]

      I know you meant Gluten-Free, but the way you wrote it sounds like “glutton-“ which is also true! I thought that was funny. Most people do it gluten and they are gluttons, too!

    this isnt a very useful recipe. the majority of the ingredients are processed products, the consistency, texture, taste and bake-ability of which being HIGHLY subject to regional specific brands and availability
    im sure it tastes lovely, when all the stars align and you get the exact right cream cheese, the exact right butter and sour cream
    on a side note i think itd be great if you use grams for the butter as well
