@hotwheelsdriver1443 There are a couple columns on the left on eBay. There is "Buying Formats" and then "Show Only". You will find the Completed Listings in the Show Only section. So do a search first and then click that box. You may have to have an account and be logged into eBay.
The pack with the 'Stinky's' van was a set I bought for my [now 21 years old] niece when she was small. She loved toy cars, and still has them, stashed away at home. Odd that a small box of toy cars could create such a good memory, isn't it? And yes, she loved the 'Stinky's' van too, because of the ever-so slightly rude and funny name in big letters on the model.
@drunkvaderaz I am more talking about if current 5-packs will ever be worth anything and I went back and showed examples from the last 20 years. If you're going to go older than that, not very many people were collecting back then so nice sealed packages would be worth some money. When a current collector asks me about current 5-packs, that's what I am referring to.
@TheBballer01 You will find with 5-packs that if a model has a small removable piece, it won't be included in the 5-pack. The Surf Crate has the same thing happen to it. in the past but the recent version of the Surf Crate has the surf board molded into the interior.
@Sixty8HotWheels Agreed! Everybody is keeping their collection 'mint in the package' so in 30 years, there will still be a ton of stuff 'mint in the package' and nothing will be rare.
Since surf boards can be a choking hazard, when they use the Deora II in a 5-pack, they often do not include the surf boards. I guess it's because 5-packs are actually called gift packs and are often given as gifts. It would not be a good thing if somebody bought it as a gift for a very young one. Now the single packs are usually purchased in person for the end user. This way, they definitely know what they are getting and I assume that is why you sometimes get surfboards on the singles.
As a man who sells old toys, I can say without question, if it's newer than 1987, it's not worth much of anything! So don't worry, collect what you like, and try not to make any money. There are those classic items, and those items destined to be classic. Then there are toys. Take them out of the package, share them with children, and have FUN.
@jmstanza When I first started, I enjoyed collecting. but for a time, I did think that Hot Wheels were going to be worth something but after awhile, I realized that only certain pieces may be worth anything at all. Thanks!
Yes, I thought those 2-tone 5-packs were pretty cool! 1:10 I can easily imagine someone buying it and not noticing the split paint jobs when looking straight on the pack.
Basically the types of 5 packs that I would get is if they are a Batman 5 pack or some thing of that nature or if I really really like all the models like the FERRARI 5 packs. That Dark Knight 5 pack; I just fell in love with the whole pack; so I went around looking for it and managed to get two for me and two for my brother. We both love the JOKER EDITION BONESHAKER.
6:36 that porsche!!! its got a nice story to it, back when matel where buy toy car makers they brought out corgi, hotwheels got one of there old casting cast moulds, they then made that porsche, the underside where CORGI was now has a small plate with hotwheels on it, and the made in england bit was scarpped/gindered down and malayia put there, and this info came from ebay, i then found an old corgi porsche, and they are the same! great vid too,
Over here in Asia, a 5 pack is worth more than buying them individually. I would buy them only if 4/5 cars were ones I really like,. I mean they almost cost 3 times what they're worth in the US.
Yes, they are collectable. I collect them. Any multipack from before the vertical packs were released will net you hundreds of dollars. Any old 10 pack will also go for a pretty big chunk ($20 or more). 5-packs depend on what set it is. Some sets are more valuable than others. And yes, multipacks can have errors in them. I collect error multipacks too. And NO, I do not open them!
I recently seen a Matchbox Police vehicle 5-pack in the Hotwheels/Matchbox Section at my local Fred Meyers. I thought maybe there was an error because there were 4 police cars, and a mysterious red Porsche 911 turbo with no police markings on it whatsoever in the 5-pack. I then seen another one just like it, and I wondered if it's possible that they were both errors. What do you think?
Still not OMG status but how times have changed again in the community haha, 5 packs being hot again. Love watching the older stuff! As for me, I only grab the 5 packs with a Subaru, so far I have them all from MBX and HW. Still missing that 10 pack exclusive from Australia in 2011 if you know anyone overseas :D
ebay is just an auction site to buy stuff not to use it as a way to value ur toys ,,,,some toys on there people just jack the price up to get more money ,,so never use ebay as a way to see what ur toys r worth ,,not a good thing to suggest to people,,,,but u got some nice 5packs ,,,and 5packs r worth something the value of u collecting them ,,,,
As always, buy what you like, rather than what may or may not be collectable. . And, if you don't like nasty surprises, don't buy 5 packs online if the ad says (Pack may vary) Helicopters won't run on the track! :¬( DOH!
andrew McGuire The 5-pack at 2:29 is the 1998 G-Force 5-pack. SouthTexasDiecast lists the models as the Ferrari F50, Porsche 930, T-Bird Stocker, Camaro Convertible, and Power Rocket. Since I collect red, white and blue, I had to have a couple of the Power Rocket =)
@BTC141 Agreed. Sometimes, there is one or two cars from the 5-pack that you want to add to your collection so that is about the only time that I buy them now.
That one is over-priced items on eBay. Chicane is about $50. Don't regret opening yours because I'm sure you had MANY HOURS of play and enjoyment with your car.

@Lionferrari777 I checked the list of 5-packs released already this year and I'm not sure which one you are referring to. Is "Team Hot Wheels" the name of the pack? Which cars are in it?
@firedragonbreath37rx That's what I'm talking about! $2 for the Harley 5-pack. That pack was pick up by a lot of collectors and they were re-selling them on eBay. Look now. They are worth $2. That's what I am talking about in the video! As for a Ripping Ten with 5-packs, you just have to open two packs, not ten =) If you do a Ripping Ten, post the video response to my Ripping Ten The Invitation video!
I started collecting 5-pack this year and they're so good to look at. I have hot tunerz 2011, dark knight, ferrari 2012-1 and heat fleet 2012 so far :)
Some of those 6-packs from the late 1970s/early 1980s are worth insane amounts of money, though. Like my holy grail, the Golden Machines 6-pack, most of the cars of which I own in some condition from thrift stores and flea markets, but not mint and in the cardboard. I think that obscure second Ferrari 5-pack from 2009 that didn't show up in most stores is also worth a few more dollars than most others from the era.
I wish you luck in finding the Muscle Mania 5-pack! Thanks for watching =)
That's why I like to bring out my older stuff for videos! It makes it pretty fun for you guys to see stuff that you used to have!

@CHOROQ92 Some day I will do a video of the Atomix. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon so I have lots of time to do lots of videos!
@thehogan911 Yes, but in cases like yours where your country may not get every release in the singles, at least you can get them in the multi-packs.

It is good to have focus!
Yes, that is definitely true.
@drunkvaderaz I'm so glad that there is far less goofy graphics being used LOL!
@captainkmanOFP857 Generally, HW and MB are $1.09 USD.
@icollectstuffdude Mixed-wheels are quite special pieces in my collection!
It has been awhile since we had a Race Team (HW Racing) 5-pack!
@Lionferrari777 Yes, I think that I have all of the Race Team 5-packs.
@jmstanza When I first started, I enjoyed collecting. but for a time, I did think that Hot Wheels were going to be worth something but after awhile, I realized that only certain pieces may be worth anything at all. Thanks!
@10h41 Exactly my point! The next time somebody asks, I will just refer them to this video =)
Yes, the '57 Chevy is a classic car! And that one has a nice story to go along with it =)
Thanks Kerry! This is a good video for people to watch to learn about collecting 5-packs.
Yes, I thought those 2-tone 5-packs were pretty cool! 1:10 I can easily imagine someone buying it and not noticing the split paint jobs when looking straight on the pack.
Cadillac escalade
Thanks for the informative video! I was curious to know if Hot Wheels has ever snuck a Super Treasure Hunt into a five pack before?

I looooooove your pontiac ragous!

I can't pass up a Ferrari 5-pack =)

I should have all three colors of the 2012 Dodge dart. The red, grey and blue plus the WM exclusive blue version with the redline wheels.

whats it annoying is the new 2011 20 packs they just put 20 singles but they make it looked different by rearranging the position
